Welcome to Unison Sign! We are a reimagined Naruto site taking place in an alternate world to the one from the canon. The continent we live on has greatly destabilized since the emergence of chakra. Bijuu now roam the earth and secrets from centuries ago are being discovered. To protect themselves and to better prepare for the road ahead, clans of shinobi have started to band together in groups and are setting up villages in which they can reside free of discrimination. Join us as we build this world from the ground up.

OUT OF CHARACTER! Unison Sign is officially open! We've completely overhauled the site giving it a new look, new backstory, and new role playing system. We're still rolling out information posts and making changes to the board but feel free to get started on your characters and jump into the role play whenever you're ready. Make sure you are familiar with all of our new threads before you do though!
IN CHARACTER With the release of the bijuu and chakra reappearing in humans, the world has become incredibly unstable. To protect themselves from discrimination and prepare for the trials ahead clans of shinobi have started to gather together to form villages. Two villages already exist and this has put pressure on other clans to start to come together under their own banners. Will you help create these villages or do everything you can to stop them?

The Land of Tundras is one of the most dangerous countries. The frigid temperatures, extreme weather, and the unforgiving landscape all make it difficult for outsiders to find their way to the few and far between settlements that exist. Use this board for all places within the Land of Tundras that don't have their own board.

A massive ice field that is covered in snow and plagued by blizzards. In this area there are also thousands of large pillars of solid ice for as far as the eye can see. These pillars reach into the sky beyond the clouds. It is unknown what phenomena formed these pillars but it is commonly believed by residents to be related to the release of the bijuu.

This is the largest city in the Tundra Country and is one of the oldest on the continent. Ruled by the Royal Family, their palace is located at its heart. Much of the city is covered by snow and ice and some buildings even make use of it in their structures. Because the Royal Family welcomes any powerful allies, shinobi are well liked and accepted by most citizens here. They are less kind towards outsiders though.

Unofficially dubbed "The Wastelands", this country was mostly decimated fifty years ago when a volcano erupted. Before the eruption this country was prosperous and more technologically advanced than the others on the continent. Now it is exactly as its name suggests, a wasteland that is plagued by beasts. Use this board for all places within the Land of Volcanoes that don't have their own board.

This city is built deep underground, close to the volcano. Compared to the rest of the continent, they are very technologically advanced. Their city runs on hydroelectricity and steam powers many of their unique machines. The residents of this city fight the beasts in their territory, though they rarely travel to the surface. Because of this they believe that most of the human race perished when the volcano erupted, leaving them alone.

One of the few standing villages after the eruption of the volcano. The people of this village are well known for their hatred towards shinobi and chakra. They view it as a power bestowed by the Bijuu, who ultimately killed many of the people living in the Land of Volcanoes with their release from captivity.

Located in the west, the Heat Country is dominated by desert. Along the coastline there is relief in the form of oasis but these can be difficult to come by if you are unfamiliar with the difficult terrain. Harsh winds frequently cause severe sandstorms and the temperature can get extremely high during the day. Use this board for all places within the Land of Heat that don't have their own board.

Referred to by locals as the "Valley of Death", this set of intricate canyons and caves shift often due to massive earthquakes. Old canyons crumble while new canyons form. These shifts can happen many times in a year and as often as once every few days. Non-shinobi are typically forbidden entry and shinobi are advised to stay away. Nobody knows how or why the shifts happen but they do know they started when the Bijuu were released from containment. Perhaps the shifts are caused by a Bijuu located in the area.

This early stage development project is located on a river basin approximately thirty kilometers from the west coast of the Land of Heat. The Ryuketsu and Kurohane clans have come together to build the first shinobi village in Netsu no Kuni.

The Land of Life is one of the most hospitable places on the continent, covered by lush forests, great lakes and tall mountains. It is more heavily populated than most of the other countries and because of this the settlements are very diverse. This country is well known for its incredible scenery and almost everywhere within its borders you will be surrounded by nature. Use this board for all places within the Land of Life that don't have their own board.

One of the largest cities in the world, the City of Light is well known for its large and incredibly diverse population. It is fairly modern and has many different districts catering to different lifestyles. While officially they are accepting of shinobi, a majority of the citizens still discriminate against them and cause them trouble when possible.

The Village Hidden in Heaven was founded by the Ishiyama clan with the help of many shinobi in the Land of Life. This was the first shinobi village and is currently the most powerful unified shinobi force on the continent. It is built atop a mountain, surrounded by nature and wildlife, and it is hidden from prying eyes above the clouds.

This tropical country stretches across the entire southeastern part of the continent. The weather in this area is unpredictable but usually varies based on the season. Months of unrelenting rain will be followed by perfect vacation weather. Massive oceanic storms commonly rage off the eastern coast, threatening any settlement built too close. Use this board for all places within the Land of Typhoons that don't have their own board.

The oldest standing city on the continent, the permanent residents here value tradition above all else. They were one of the few remaining places to still tell of the legends of the bijuu and because of this the people here are very accepting of shinobi. Much of their architecture, style, and customs are passed down from many generations ago.

The Village Hidden on the Coast was established in the Land of Typhoons and as its name suggests, it was built on a tropical beach. Designed to act as a safe haven for shinobi in their country, it quickly came to be known as a relaxing destination. Because of this it also operates as a resort for tourists, both regular humans and shinobi alike. The shinobi from this village are stereotypically considered laid back and even lazy.
