Today was a day like any other. The wind was strong, the sun's rays gleaming down on you, and spiders all over the place. Recently, there had been some spider outbreaks all across Sunagakure and the Kazakage had put up some missions for genin to exterminate them. This was as good a time as any to test himself outside of his training with his father every night and get some more training done on the way. Nobu had informed his father of his mission today and as usual, his father expected the best results from his only son and successor of the Akihiko teachings. Nobu had killed much larger animals than spiders in his life than spiders although those animals were much easier to see, dodge and none had a venomous bite. This mission would likely harder than Nobu had first figured when initially accepting the mission but he was no chicken and would honor his word to get rid of all of the spiders across the village.
There were 5 locations that had reported the venomous spider sightings. The hospital in room 3B, The libraries back room, old man Kita's house, and Fuji's pet shop. Nobu was not quite sure off the top of his head the order in which he would kill the spiders but he decided to at least start with the hospital. From what he knew, there was about five spiders in each location and he was asked to retrieve 3 vials of the spider's poison for research of some sort. Nobu brought 4 empty vials with him, having one extra in case one broke although he figured there was a reported 5 spiders in each area so if one broke in one location, it would not stop him from resuming his mission, he would only grab an extra vial of poison from the next area.
After walking for a short while, Nobu found himself in front of the Sunagakure Hospital. This was a place that Nobu rarely visited of his own free will thanks to his good health but would have to go at times to get mandatory check ups and small things like that but would only be told things he already knew of. The suna ninja walked into the front door and told the lady at the front office that he was sent to get rid of their spider problem. After making a quick call to another office, she hung up and asked Nobu to follow her. They walked past a few other offices and then reached the elevator where they met another person who had sent the mission in the first place. The client's name for the hospital was Hashiro Katakura. A 5 foot 9, 30 year old nurse with an appearance younger than he looked.
Nobu was informed that a couple weeks ago, Hashiro had gone to room 3B to get it ready for an incoming patient but left to clean it up a bit early due to the room not being used in a few weeks. What waited in the room almost killed the nurse and surely chaos would have been set in motion if he had not closed the door immidiately after seeing the spider's notice him. What surprised Nobu was the description of the spiders which had not been in the mission description. Hashiro described the spiders he saw the size of a small child's head, including the legs. They had grey body hair and were quite fast according to the nurse.
Apparently the hospital had spider problems in the past, but they were small spiders and even if someone was bitten, they were in a hospital and treatment was free and quick if it happened in the hospital. This bit of information made Nobu question if the antidote would work since the spiders were so much bigger than last time but he did not plan on getting bit in the first place so it fazed him none. All the patients were moved out of that floor for safety reasons after boarding up 3B, checking the other rooms, and closing off that floors stairs so that you could go up and down the stairs but the door to floor 3 was boarded up. The Hospital's main floor was actually the 5th floor out of 10 floors. 5 floors were located underground Nobu was curious in how the spiders got down there in the first place since these were rooms where tests were taken and information was gathered. Room 3B was a Heart scanning room before they received better equipment and used a different room for heart analysis. This would explain how no one entered the room for a couple weeks.
After reaching floor 3, the door opened and there was was a earth wall in front of him with a sealing tag on it. The tag must have been what was keeping the wall up. After removing the tag, the wall crumbled in front of him and he saw the third floor and it's messy glory. Most of the papers in cabinets had been moved to other floors and patients were moved in a hurry so there was things all over the place but all that mattered was room B which was the first room on his right after floor 3's reception desk. As he approached the door, he saw the boarded up room and inspected it to make sure that there was no breaches . The glass walls had also been boarded up well and there was no holes in the wood so Nobu decided that no spiders had escaped in the very least. Nobu panned the whole floor to make sure that it was spider free as nurse Hashiro had told him, and he was right, the floor was clear of any sign outside of 3B.
As Nobu approached the door he though about how he would go about his plan. He had been thinking the whole time since he accepted the mission about how he would go about killing them but what made him rethink his strategy was when he heard how big the spiders were. Simply cutting them all up in a flash with his chakra throwing knives would not work now due to their size but using taijutsu might not be the best corse of action either. Then, another thought entered his mind. He can't use Gale palm either because he is in a closed space. Nobu was in a bit more a predicament then he initially thought.
Deciding on what to do, Nobu pried off the boards from 3B and prepared to open the door. " Naifu o nage chakura " creating his signature knives, Nobu opens the door quietly and slowly walks into the room and closes the door behind him. The room was quite large with a large machine in the middle of it capable of fitting a full grown male inside. After standing in the room for about 5 seconds only a step or two into the room he had spoted 4 spiders, waiting to attack if Nobu had taken one step closer. All 4 spiders were on the other side of the room but Nobu had not let his guard down because he knew that one more had been suposedly spotted. There were a few places that another one could hide behind to Nobu's left but decided to keep most of his attention to the front of him.
Nobu decided to take the first move and go on the offensive. After putting chakra into his Akihiko Wire, he threaded the 4 of the 5 chakra knives within a flash and flew the knives at one of the spiders to try and catch it off guard. All four blades hit the spider and blood splat along the walls. This threw the other spiders into a frenzy and they all attacked at once. The 3 spiders in front of him went straight for his face so he ducked immediately considering he was against a wall. As the 3 spiders flew over him another dashed at him to his left as he had predicted before hand. In the heat of the moment, Nobu yelled " Konoha Reppū " and did a low sweeping kick. He was already in a low position so he was able to concentrate all of his strength into the kick and felt the clean hit on the spider, sending it across the room and hearing its body slamming against the wall.
Jumping back towards the other side of the room, Nobu attempted to regrasp the situation but not before seeing fangs headed straight for his left arm. This was the same arm that had the 5th knife in hand so waiting for the perfect moment, Nobu jammed the knife through the spider from the bottom and rushed the last two. Pulling a kunai from his belt, he threaded his wire through it and starting swinging it rapidly. As he reduced distance, the last two spiders did the same and rushed him, one running on the ground for his legs, the other jumping towards his face. At the last second, Nobu dived off diagonally and flew the wired kunai threw the spider, while Nobu slammed his shoulder on the ground. The last spider took advantage of this weakened Nobu and jumped for the throat only for the spider to meet it's end by the kunai that he had thrown just a second before hand. Nobu had immediately used his chakra to rip the kunai out of the spider he had impaled the moment it pierced the body and guessed where the spider on the ground would jump from and catch the spider with the kunai the moment it left the ground.
Exhausted, out of breath, and with a hurt shoulder, Nobu curled up against the wall to prop himself up. If there had been one more spider, he might not have made it out of the situation alive or atleast not bitten. After dragging himself up, Nobu opened the door and grabbed his bag with the vials and extraced 3 vials of poison from the spiders. Everything happened so fast but seemed to go by so slow. This might have been due to his training every night (which he was not looking forward to tonight) but he was happy to at least still be breathing. Confirming all 5 spider deaths and checking the room over, he closed the door and headed for the elevator. After going back up to the 5th floor, he was met with Hashiro's face and told him that the problem had been dealt with. Instead of accepting the help he was offered and to rest up, he headed straight to the Kazekage's office to report in. After walking through the heat, he made it to Demiyah's office. And laid the vials down in front of her. " Mission complete".
