"Say I never struggled, wasn't hungry, yeah, I doubt it"
After bringing the first chicken to the chicken farm right outside of town, Nobu sat down on the side of the road for a few minutes. The weather wasn’t horrible today but it was still hot since the village was located in the middle of desert. Nobu pulled out the list of all the locations the chickens had been seen at and thought about which one he would go after next. The swimming hole didn’t sound horrible, maybe he would take a dip before he started looking for the chicken. The hole was located on the outskirts of the village also so it shouldn’t take too long to get there. He pushed himself up and started walking towards the swimming hole in hopes that there would be some beautiful woman there.
Nobu started walking again and thought about retrieving the last chicken in the market and what had gone wrong. Usually, he lowers his guard a lot when he thinks he is in a good situation and it usually comes back to bite him in the ass. During his spider missions, his face was constantly aimed at and during the earlier mission in the market, the chicken tried to peck at his face. Nobu decided to try to play things a bit more safe and try to finish missions without a scratch. During the chicken chase earlier, He had tried to set a plan and stick to it, but the moment he thought he had the mission in the bag, he let down his guard and the chicken almost got away.
This time, he would be outside so things should go well since he would be able to cut loose a little bit. Nobu made it to the swimming hole in good time but sadly, there was no one there in which he could share a dip with but he still decided to cool off for a bit. After removing all his clothes except the shorts he had underneath his outerwear, he hung his clothes on a tree nearby and stepped into the swimming hole. The water was nice and cool compared to the Sunagakure heat and nothing beats taking a dip after mission. After a while enjoying his surroundings, he pushed his slim, fit body out of the water, and sat down on a rock to dry off. With the sun beaming down on his glistening body, he dried off fast and put his clothes back on. After fixing up his hair, he resumed his mission.
He knew that a chicken was spotted around the area so he decided to first take a look around the area and find some high ground. After finding the highest point of the area, he looked down at the swimming hole and thought about where a chicken would be in this heat. The area around the swimming hole was rocky and he remembered that there was a small cave along the swimming hole. He headed back down and found the small cave. It was big enough to fit a single person but it was also a dead end. He decided to try something out. "Fūton: Reppūshō", condensing chakra in his palms, Nobu clapped and sent a wave of wind down the cave. With the amount of chakra put into the jutsu, anything in the hole would be woken up if asleep and probably thrown around a tad bit.
Listening carefully, Nobu got what he wanted, hearing squawking, he hid and waited outside the cave, listening as the sound of the alarmed chicken shot out of the cave and would run right into the Suna ninja’s trap. The chicken, upon reaching the opening of the cave, immediately tripped and slid against the ground and in the moment the chicken came to a stop Nobu would shout “Kanashibari no Jutsu”, paralyzing the chicken and securing it with his wire. His tactic was to scare the chicken out of the small cave and set up his wire very tight outside of the face of the cave low enough that if the chicken came running out, it would trip over the practically invisible wire which was only made more hidden due to the darkness.
Having secured the chicken, Nobu then proceeded to go back to the chicken farm but received a rude awakening when the chicken in his possession turned out to be a wood clone. Angry, Nobu ran back to the swimming hole as fast as he could. The day was slowly turning into night and if he didn’t act fast, it would get dark and the mission would be much harder than it had to be. First, he checked the same hole that the wood clone came out of but there was nothing in there. After walking around the area he was once again unsuccessful. Angry, tired, and wanting to get this over with Nobu planted himself on a rock around the swimming hole thinking about how he would find the chicken and that’s when it hit him. Literally, something hit him on his face which felt like a big rain drop. He looked up and to his surprise, the chicken he was looking for was on another rock right above the one he was on. Realizing that it was not raining, Nobu wiped his face with his sleeve and saw white, chunky substance on his sleeve. If Nobu had not realized what had happened before seeing the chicken, he surely did now.
Infuriated, Nobu performed a few hand seals and yelled out “Fūton: Reppūshō” putting an excessive amount of chakra in his palms, he slammed his hands together, pushing himself up to the rock the chicken was sitting on. Startled, the chicken started running and used another wood clone. Seeing two chickens running Nobu was not quite sure which one was the real one and honestly, he had half a mind to slaughter them both but he kept his rage in check. Thinking fast, Nobu used Shunshin no Jutsu appearing in front of one of the Chickens and tackled the chicken but ended up grabbing a chicken sized wooden clone. Seeing the other chicken running in the corner of his eye, he got up and started chasing after it. The chicken tried to make another clone but was so close that he saw the fake run a different direction. Putting chakra into his Akihiko wire, Nobu held on to one end tight and extended the size of the cord to reduce distance while closing in by foot. Within a few seconds, his wire caught up to the chicken and he was able to grab onto one of the chicken’s legs and pull its leg right from underneath it. Tying the chicken up in his wire and knocking it out in anger, he brought it back to the farm and unwrapped the wire.
Irritated, Nobu started walking home. It was already night which was a nice way to cool off considering that the nights in Sunagakure were very cold which was exactly what he needed after being tricked, chicken waste dropped on him, and having chased it for a bit.
