The call to gather had gone out early that morning, as the hawk had landed on one of his trees that morning and let out a mighty screech; however Ryota hadn't slept at all that night. He'd been pretty stressed lately, and forgetting to take his special herbs to help him sleep. After only having had about three hours in the past four days each of those hours had been filled with terrible dreams. He slowly shifted around as he got dressed up in his gear and slowly snapped on his Chuunin vest he stretched out and let out a sleepy sigh. He walked outside to the patient hawk and took the message, petting the bird on it's beak before letting it go back to the village. As he set off towards the village, he made sure that the forest was maintained, taking tabs on all the foliage and trees looking for diseases or other problems. However, after having done exactly this for the past four sleepless nights everything was practically perfect. Jeez. . . But oh well, there wasn't any time to worry about that. As he walked he read through the message, it turned out that they were supposed to meet at a particular rooftop. He nodded once and then crumpled the message up and put it in his pocket. Hopefully Suzune was already getting ready, she could be a brat and even though he cared for her his patience for her always waned a little bit during his most sleepless days. But there was something else to be worried about, and that was what the message had been saying. It had turned out that the dynamic duo had finally been placed into another team. With a team-mate coming from that Tsubasa family and then a sensei that was named Hara, although she had scribbled some note about being called "Kitsune" on her note.
It had been a very long time since Ryota had been placed on another squad, or at least it had felt like it had been a really long time. . . He shook his head, there was no more time to dwell on such things. He had to try and stay positive and cheery after all, right? His eyes drifted over to the Hokage Rock in the distance. Heh. . . "I'll be up on that rock someday, I'm a hero after all!" A slight grin slowly creeped onto his tired face. He was nearing the location of the rooftop though so he tried to keep his thoughts quiet and placed his hands into his pocket. Once he had reached the stairs and made the climb up, he looked around. Was he the first one to make it? Oh boy, was he too early. . .? Of course he would be the one to make it to early. He walked over and sat down on a wooden bench on top of the roof and laid his head back, closing his eyes.
Soon after came the soft snores. Tagged: Hara Kin , Jiyuu Tsubasa , Suzune Oda

Basking in the morning’s glow, it shadowed over the vast Tsubasa compound. A young man preparing his equipment and gear, eagerly anticipated this certain day. The young man was a Shinobi Genin, called Jiyuu, and today was the day finally takes the next step. To finally get the chance to be in a squad, to undertake new challenges and to finally explore what this world has to offer. With a spring in his step, he dashed out of his room, said a quick goodbye to his father, and grabbed a quick breakfast for the road. Spring and sprung, those steps quickly marched into a dash when made his way out of the Clan compound’s doors.
Consuming his raspberry filled jam rice ball, Jiyuu raced through the village. Once he reached downtown, he thought about what it took for him to get to this moment. Overcoming the hurdles he had to go through, the discrimination, his brother’s betrayal, the harsh training, and the situations he dragged into; Jiyuu firmly believed it was all worth it. Because to be in this moment, rushing through the streets for a simple squad meetings, proves that he’s moving forward even if it’s just one step. But it does leave two things for Jiyuu to be curious about, why was he picked for this particular squad and what is his team going to be like?
Deciding to climb up the building and scale across the rooftops, Jiyuu continued to ponder to himself. How in the world did it take two whole years just to get a simple squad together? The most likely answer Jiyuu can come up with in a logical sense was a balancing issue. That’s the kicker for him, was there really any need to take so long in simply balancing himself with the team? It’s uncertain, but what matters now is that in a few leagues away is the meeting destination.
Jumping forth from building to building is certain a fun advantage in being a Shinobi, one of the few things Jiyuu is proud of. He just wondered what more good he can do or what he can accomplish. All that and more finally starts, after this one final great leap. Rising into the air and falling with style to the ground. On the way down he noticed some blue-haired guy, snoozing away on a bench. In Jiyuu’s retrospective, maybe it wasn't the brightest of idea in jumping relentlessly to the meeting. Because he’s just made a showy enough entrance with some noise to boot upon landing.
The young man sighed from stress, realizing in what he’s done. In the aftermath of his land, he did a quick left arm muscle stretch to loosen up the tension. Trying to keep somewhat of respectful image, Jiyuu his hooded head toward the blue-hair guy to apologize. “Yeah, sorry pal,” the hooded spoke with a nonchalant tone and slur. He was never much of a people person these days. WORDS 517 TAGS @team Hara NOTES Let's get this dysfunctional team started! |

LEND ME YOUR HAND AND WE'LL CONQUER THEM ALL ❝ The warm, morning sun covered the land owned by the Oda Clan at dawn, as it did every morning for the past couple hundred years. It had been the very reason the first head of the Oda Clan had requested this stretch of land for his kin. There was ample room to construct their many temples and a sacred shrine. And Amaterasu never had trouble finding her biggest supporters when she lifted up the morning sun. The birds were chirping, and it was hours before her meeting time, but the young priestess was wide awake and smiling. "Good morning, Amaterasu-sama!" she yelled, swinging the doors to the shrine open and giving the statue inside a bright smile. As with every morning, she'd come dressed to impress. Her attire a mixture of standard robes for shrine duties and clothing that was easy to move in that allowed her to transition from shrine duties to missions smoothly. In one hand was a broom, and the other held a small box of matches. Leaning the broom against the shrine walls, she removed a single match from it's box, swiping it against the rough surface of the box to light the match. In front of the statue was a small vase with incense, ready to be burned for today's prayer. Then she would clean! "Phew," she breathed, closing the doors to the shrine and storing the broom back in a nearby tool shed. "It's just about time." she thought aloud, heading back towards her residence to retrieve her weapon before heading out. Jumping from building to building, she beamed as the wind caught her hair. It was always so exhilarating to travel like this. Soaring like a bird over the many rooftops and looking down at the children below. "There it is," she said, finding her target. In the distance she could see another figure jump onto the roof, and her brow raised as she tried to discern their identity from the distance. They were too tall to be Ryota. Was it here new teammate? "Hmm," she mused, picking up the pace and quickly landing on the designated roof. "Hello!" she yelled in a cheerful tone, landing next to the sleepy Ryota and just a few feet behind a suspicious hooded figure. Her head cocked to the side, and as if to answer her question, the wind ripped the hood off the strangers head, and her eyes immediately narrowed into a glare. Great. This was her teammate? She and Ryota had waited this long for a team, and they'd been stuck with this eyesore. "Tsubasa," she spat by way of greeting. Staring down the man who was nothing more than a smudge on Konoha's reputation. His clan was one thing, and perhaps at one point, she'd been willing to look past that. But she remembered their days at the academy all too clearly. This bastard. I refuse to accept him. I won't! MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

The Kitsune of Konoha still couldn’t quite believe what had happened. She had just recently returned from a mission, when her superiors had abruptly called her in and informed that she would be leading a team. That’s right... They were putting her, the greatest trickster who ever lived, in charge of teaching and protecting some teenagers. Someone had not thought this one through. And they even made it very clear there was no slipping out of this duty. Apparently it was a punishment of sorts. But who was really being punished here? Hara? ...Or the poor souls forced to put up with her? Either way, one thing was certain, however.
The Kitsune was going to have fun with this.
In a small apartment somewhere near the edge of the village, the playful woman was getting ready for the big meeting. Even though she was already fashionably late, she took her time getting dressed. She had already enjoyed a tasty breakfast and taken a refreshing shower. Standing before the mirror and humming a cheery tune, she brushed and braided her hair. Her outfit was the same as always, but today, as a finishing touch, she pulled her green jounin vest on too. This was a very special occasion after all. She had to make the first impression... memorable. Snickering under her breath, already bubbling with ideas, she pushed the window open and bounced away into the morning breeze.
While leaping across the rooftops, Hara quietly wondered what kind of people she would meet. To make things more interesting, she hadn’t learned anything about her students, not their personal files, not academy history, not even names. Those would’ve been spoilers, no? Instead, she was going to learn every interesting thing personally, their sweetest dreams and darkest secrets... Absolutely everything.
Approaching the meeting place, the trickster spotted the people already there, busy chatting with each other. Two boys and a girl... Blue, orange and brown... One was donning an unmistakable chuunin vest, the second had a comfy hoodie and the third resembled a priestess. Interesting. A puff of smoke was blown away by the wind as the kunoichi transformed mid-jump and landed right into the trio’s blind spot. Thanks to her kekkei genkai, they wouldn’t even notice her arrival. Though she doubted they would’ve noticed anything at all... They seemed so very focused on each other. Good. Then this next part would be the perfect surprise.
Suddenly, the chatter was broken by a commanding yell. "Atteeeeeention!" When the teenagers turned around, they were faced with a seven feet tall muscle mountain of a man. His blocky jaw was stretched into the sourest frown, while his steely, golden eyes glared at the trio. Along with the jounin vest and konoha forehead protector, he was wearing a sleeveless, black jump suit that seemed a size too small, clinging onto his rippling muscles. His mere presence was like angry shouting, much like his voice. "That’s enough socializing, maggots!" To make the sight just a little more unnerving, the man had a girly-cut, blonde hair and lovely bangs, braided together beneath his chin. Would anyone even dare to ask?
"Line up! Now!"

It had all happened so suddenly, the arrival of the three others each had come bearing their own over-the-top level of intensity. The first one, who he would eventually learn to be known as Jiyuu had been the initial person to wake him out of his blood filled slumber. The next arrival had been Suzune, who's trilly voice was both a comfort and slightly annoying, gah he couldn't help but forgive her. Finally, their had been a really, really tall man that had called them to attention with a booming voice of authority. As Ryota stood up from the bench, the dark circles under his eyes intensified from the non-beneficial power nap he had just taken. The huge man's intimidation tactic looked like it was to try and scare the boy into shape. Staring up at the man with a look of impatience, his body was shaking from a combination of lack of sleep and the fact that he had been standing in one place for too long. He pointed up at the man's face and said, "Oy. Your tits are popping out of your uhhh shirt." He had always considered the "overly" muscle types to be some of the most annoying people because of their sheer overconfidence in everything they did. However, he did do what the man had instructed and stepped over to form a line standing at the head of it. He subtly shifted his body so that he was in between the man and Suzune, if this loud lummox was to be their sensei then he would have to keep a much closer watch over the girl. While he moved, he caught a quick sideways glance at the other boy who had showed up. He had strong features and his face showed deep emotion. Heh, this kid was alright. . . "Yo." Was all he said to Jiyuu, he hadn't caught Suzune's general distaste in the boy.
With his attention facing forwards, he found his vision shifting in and out of focus, the circles under his eyes seeming to get heavier and heavier by the minute. His head fell back and he let out a soft sigh of relief. If Suzune was paying attention she would probably scold him later for not taking his herbs like he was supposed to be, but that wasn't what was important in this moment. Suddenly a bright flash of the face of his sliced up cousin flew through his mind. His head shot back up and he let out a piercing gasp before his head fell forwards again and he toppled over onto the ground. God, he needed some coffee. . . As he weaved in and out of slumber on the ground, there was no doubt in his mind that everyone that would witness it would consider it highly disrespectful, but he had no choice in the matter. His body had finally decided to give up. But he was still alert and hadn't completely lost his mind. As he lay there, he listened to what would happen next. The wind blew toward Jiyuu’s face harshly, almost as if it was an omen. The gust blinded his vision for only a moment and the wind was strong enough to blow off his hood with it’s strong currents. At point his ears picked up the noise of two feet prompting down to the ground. Opening his eye-lids for the first gaze, he witnessed an all-too-familiar facial expression, disgust. This expression belong to only one member of the most elitist Clans in Konoha; it was an Oda. It wasn't just any other Oda Clansmen either, it was the privileged princess herself, she was one of many who wanted to remove Jiyuu back in his academy days. For Jiyuu, he couldn't care less but he ‘does’ have to be in the same as her, which can become, problematic. He wanted to simply brush her off like he does to everyone who has problem with him, but he has no time ignore her, because the Oda isn't the only person taking Jiyuu’s attention.
Out no nowhere, all that young heard was an ear-murdering, commanding scream from behind him. When he averted his gaze to look, he wished his eyes were playing tricks on him or that this morning was just dream. What he saw, was a muscle-bound woman with the eerie grotesque appearance of a man. This was something that Tsukiya will never do to Jiyuu when he was a kid, not in a million years; no prank was on this scale. Jiyuu had to convince himself that this was a prank, because there was no that was a man and his sensei. Dumbfounded and a jaw drop, is plastered all over Jiyuu’s face from this grand spectacal. His only ray of light from this madness, was a voice who made snide comment about his new sensei’s “appearance.”
Shockingly enough, it was the stranger napping on the bench. Whom, oddly enough, is probably the only person that Jiyuu somewhat of a good expectation for. The raven haired man sarcasm was enough to buy Jiyuu’s interest and he actually greeted Jiyuu normally, if only it lasted. Unfortunately, Jiyuu’s expectations took a hard nose dive, in more ways than one. He witnessed narcolepsy at play, the raven haired by took a quick dive to meet the stone sidewalk to slumber. Needless to say, Jiyuu is more than slightly disappointed, “Fantastic, yes, just fan-freaking-tastic.” So now tallying up the first impressions from his new “ team,” a girl whom basically wishes Jiyuu dead, an insane teacher with a sick sense of humor, and a narcoleptic wonder Chuunin; all equaling one word, deplorable.
The gust of wind was an omen for Jiyuu after all, it spelled his doom. |
