1. All members must comply with Proboards Terms of Service as well as the community guidelines. This means that while on this site you must follow all of the rules that are laid out here. The staff of Unison Sign has no say over what does or does not go into these rules so if you have questions or concerns please refer to the Proboards support board for assistance.
2. You must always be respectful while on the board. This goes for interactions with staff and other members as well as guests. Discrimination of any kind is not acceptable and will typically result in an immediate suspension. If this kind of behaviour becomes a problem this will escalate to a permanent ban.
3. All forms of "cheating" are against the rules. This includes but is not limited to things like Power-Gaming and God-Modding. Do not act on knowledge that you know OOC (avoiding all traps that another player has set for you), do not take control of another character's actions without the consent of the owner or staff, and do not make yourself invincible by avoiding any and all attacks that come you way. If what you are doing IC is deemed unfair or "cheating" staff members will intervene.
4. Do not cause drama with other members on the site. Do not bring drama from another site to this one. So long as you comply with rule #2 you shouldn't have a problem. Drama IC is acceptable but don't let in character disputes cause OOC arguments.
5. Plagiarism is strictly against the rules and will result in an immediate ban. This goes for stealing work from this site as well as others and bringing it here.
6. Advertising is not allowed except in the designated area, located towards the bottom of the forum. You may also advertise in your signature but you are only permitted to do this on one of your accounts. The no advertising rule extends to casual OOC threads, all chat boxes on the site, and private messaging.
7. Multi-thread posting is permitted here. However you must be careful to avoid time paradoxes during major plots or events and you have to maintain an acceptable level of activity in every thread you are in.

Mature content is not permitted by our host so for anyone who does not review all of their rules which are linked above I will restate this as it can get the entire site in trouble: Keep all posts on this board PG-13. If you violate this rule you will be suspended or banned immediately to appease Proboards and keep us out of the fire.
9.You may have up to two characters created initially. To create a third you must have a total of 20 posts on your primary character and 10 posts on your secondary. If you wish you create a fourth/fifth/sixth/etc. you must have an additional ten posts on each preceding character. So to create a fourth character you would have to have 30 posts for your first, 20 posts for your second, and 10 posts for your third. You can also choose to drop/kill off one of your characters to open a slot for a new one if you wish. So long as you follow this system you may have as many characters as you want. This rule is suspended for the time being. If we see a decline in activity or members with three or four characters with less than 5-10 posts on each we will not hesitate to reinstate it.
10. Regardless of how many characters you have, you must maintain an acceptable level of activity with each of them. We will conduct monthly activity checks to ensure that this rule is being followed. If you will be taking a leave of absence due to a loss of muse or something is going on in your personal life you can let us know in the designated location towards the bottom of the forum and you will be excluded from these activity checks. Just please try and check in with us to keep us updated on your status.
11. There are several areas of the site that will have their own specific rules. Please make sure to familiarize yourself with those rules as well before using those areas.
12. All cat-shinobi must only be transported in shiny bejeweled purses carried by their allies.
