biography Kisaragi was born to the Nozaki family as the third and youngest child. Her childhood is full of happy moments despite her parents and two brothers rarely being home due to missions. As a result, Kisaragi practically grew up in the streets though and while she hasn’t gone ‘bad’ as her parents put it, her personality is something that gives her parents a headache every time they are able to see their daughter. Shortly before she was old enough to be enrolled into the shinobi academy, Kisaragi’s mother was injured during a mission and was forced to retire thus giving more time for the girl to spend more time with her mother. Although her mother’s injuries were not life threatening, it has left her without the ability to use her legs and in constant pain. It was something that her mother would never show to Kisaragi but the young girl knew. During the time that she was learning to be a shinobi at the academy, Kisaragi was able to take supplement lessons from her mother when it was possible and so passed her exams with flying colors. Soon after achieving the rank of Genin, Kisaragi’s father has finally decided to become a reserve as so he can take care of his wife since his children now all have a career for themselves. For Kisaragi, the beginning of her Genin days was rather uneventful but she has developed an interest in weapons and their usage. With her squad, she participated in a variety of missions such as escort and retrieval missions. The mission that awoke Kisaragi’s dreams was an escort mission that went off-track. The mission turned out to be a trap set by the bandits in the mountains nearby as revenge for Kirigakure for constantly interfering with their plans. Being separated from their sensei, Kisaragi’s team fought for their lives to escape the ambush. In the very last moment, her teammate took a crippling blow for her before they were saved by their sensei. Her teammate, having been crippled by the attack could no longer continue as a shinobi and needless to say, Kisaragi felt guilty about it. However his optimism lifted Kisaragi’s spirits and gave her a new purpose to work for.
