THE ENSEI CLAN
(the 'fire fist' clan)
HISTORY*
The Ensei or 'Fire Fist Clan" gained it's origins within Tsuchi no Kuni, in a small unnamed village. Before it was known as the 'fire fist' clan however it went by another name: The "Kajiya" (Blacksmith) clan. Unlike most shinobi clans at that time the Kajiya clan started out as blacksmiths. They used their well tuned fire affinity and jutsu to alter and temper metal making many amazing steel weapons. It was only until their village was attacked by bandits did they take up arms and fight.
They lost many people however as well as some of their own, which made it difficult for them to bounce back with so little funds to rebuild the village. It changed when one member of the clan- a boy named "Eiji" made the decision to weaponize their abilities and hire out their clan for combat to gain more money. However the peaceful clan turned their noses to Eiji's violent proclamation, stating that "it wasn't the way of the Kajiya" . Furious and frustrated the boy ran off from the half destroyed village and disappeared, not to be seen for eleven years. While Eiji ran off to who knows where, the clan began to rebuild the best they could.
But it was proving to be taxing on the blacksmiths and tensions and tempers began to rise slowly dismantling the peacefulness they had since their creation. It would be eleven years later when Eiji Kajiya would return and with him new clan members who he had brought with him. He explained to his clan that he learned to harness their fire techniques used for welding and smithing, and transformed them into a fighting style. The new clan mates he brought with him were the ones he taught the fighting style to as well. Most of the clan was amazed yet the other half including the clan Elder was displeased.
The Elder claimed that Eiji had 'tarnished' the Kajiya clan with blood and violence and would bring about it's ruin. Eiji argued that he would bring about a new era of peace for the clan if they continued the path he took. These two opposite views soon split the clan in two, turning them against each other which would then start an inter clan war which lasted for six months. Eventually Eiji and his followers managed to kill the current Elder and anyone who was against his plans, thus forming a new clan from it's ashes the "Ensei" (Fire Fist) clan.
They then left the dying village behind as well as their pasts and continued on as Eiji had planned. For years they would sell their services to the people of Tsuchi no Kuni as well as a few other countries. They soon made a name themselves as a clan who's "fists were as hot as the sun" who beat up and burned their enemies with fire clad fists. Years later when Iwagakure was formed the Ensei were one of many clans who joined it in it's founding. The Ensei clan still remains today, remaining loyal to Iwagakure as Shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Stones.
