Hazama is slightly below average sized for a shinobi, being only about 5'6" as a nearly grown man. Though short in stature he is still very physically fit due to having a spry lifestyle and as such boasts decently toned muscles and a low percentage of bodyfat. He has a peachy complexion that is unscathed for the most part due to his clan's unique ability and a fairly symmetrical face which holds a green line of paint over the bridge of his nose and cheekbones. Like most Itou, Hazama has striking red-brown hair.
His attire is for the most part extremely fuctional and it's base consists of green camo pants and a tight black long-sleeve shirt. Over this he wears a green camo scarf, a partial black steel chestplate, black leather forearm guards, and black leather shinguards. In place of his forehead protector Hazama follows the Itou tradition of wearing a Happuri (facemask) which is emblazoned with the crest of Iwagakure.
All in all his attire is light-weight and helps aid a fast and acrobatic combat style.

Hazama is by all definitions a classic underdog. Despite having grown up in the shadow of the highly skilled Itou, he is the complete opposite of finesse, going into things with full strength and luck rather than extreme preparation. It's not that he isn't a hard worker but moreover that he lacks the concentration and finesse generally attributed to the Itou.
Hazama believes in living a life of optimism, devoting his entire livelihood to bringing light to the darkness around him. He respects all life and truly cares about his comrades, acting as a beacon of hope to those around him, and when coupled with his natural calm in states of panic, this makes him a valuable leader. He has his flaws of course; light alcoholism, sushi addiction, and an insatiable infatuation with long legs, but those can never steal him from his true goal to one day see a peaceful existence in which children don't have to kill each other and grow up as orphans.
You can always count on Hazama to tell jokes at the worst possible times- but it isn't because he is stupid or inept, but rather it's his way of raising the mood and coping.
