It is readily apparent upon first seeing Hisashi that the man is a hardened killer. There are few who walk away from the Kirigakure shinobi without feeling some measure of discomfort. Hisashi stands at an even six feet and weighs just around 175 pounds. It isn't surprising considering his profession that he strives to keep his body in peak physical condition. The result of a rigorous training regimen along with perpetual combat. His build affords him an effective balance between both speed and strength. Hisashi holds himself with a predatory grace that could only be attributed to a talented assassin. He is always standing on the edge, calculating for a moment to strike yet seemingly indifferent to the world around him. Hisashi doesn't imperiously hold himself over others but his demeanor does convey a sense of self-assuredness.
If one were to put aside his vague animosity, they'd see a relatively handsome face with strong features. Of course it has been marred by a few small scars and hardness that states that his youth has long since passed. His pale skin is contrasted with his somewhat long, dark brown hair. His hair falls down a few inches shy of his shoulders and he wears it pulled back so as not to obstruct his vision. Quite possibly the most notable aspect of Hisashi's appearance are his deep crimson eyes, reminiscent of the blood he so often spills. His gaze often appears devoid of life, replaced by the steady droll of duty. There is something vaguely disconcerting when under his scrutiny. Yet, it the midst of combat his low-burning eyes seem to flare with ambition or maybe even passion. Hisashi has no tattoos or piercings but one can find scars scattered across his body.
Hisashi prefers to wear the standard attire of shinobi within Kirigakure. He sports the dark-grey Jounin vest that is common for shinobi of his rank with long-sleeves black shirt. He carries two pouches at his waist which contain his various types of kunai, smoke bombs, shuriken, etc. Hisashi has taken to wearing his Kirigakure forehead protector around his neck as of late. He rarely if ever wears any sort of informal attire. Usually he will simply keep his usual clothes but forgo the vest while he is within the village.

Hisashi is a man who is driven by both his personal desires as well as a strong sense of duty. In his earlier years he had trouble finding his place among the shinobi of the village but that is no longer true. He has discovered that is rather talented at hunting other shinobi down, and is more than happy to fulfill that role especially when it involves Missing-nin. Hisashi's initial hatred of Missing-nin derives from the fact that one killed his father but more than that, he simply despises what they stand for. It is for this very reason that Hisashi can be considered one of the most loyal shinobi among the members of Kirigakure. He is not particularly attached to any specific person or thing within the village but rather the concept of the village itself. Therefore attempting to get him to betray Kirigakure is a futile approach.
He is often viewed as a rabid dog, barely restrained and without a thought of his own. The fact is that Hisashi is an intelligent individual who has willingly taken on this role. Purpose gave him strength, and so he is unlikely to turn his back on that. His intellect can be difficult to judge due to his dismissive and somewhat hostile demeanor. Thus one would do well to listen carefully when he does in fact choose to speak. He is hardly a genius or even that of a great tactician; he possesses an intelligence that is well-tailored to his task. Hisashi does not see things on a large scale but he is rather perceptive and extremely observant. All desirable qualities when it comes to tracking rogue shinobi. Occasionally he will find himself too caught up in the chase and miss details he otherwise would not have which can potentially leave him vulnerable.
His interactions with his fellow Kiri-nin can range from mildly respectful to vaguely offensive. He doesn't like too waste time on idle chat and instead prefers to make his point quickly regardless of how it might sound. Hisashi will show some level of respect to those he believes are deserving of it. The only person he is likely to ever show deference to is the Mizukage. He always prioritizes the mission regardless of the sacrifices that may be needed. Therefore he often works alone but he also understands there are times when he is simply not enough to complete the task. Hisashi can be a powerful ally so long as his teammates are clear on what his priorities are. He subconsciously seeks to avoid the weakness that he believed his father to possess.
There is only one other things that Hisashi truly desires other than hunting down Missing-nin, and that is to see himself among the ranks of the ANBU. He views them as the ultimate expression of what a shinobi should be. Hisashi knows that even among the ANBU there exists those who are specialized in hunting down rogue shinobi. He would see himself among their ranks regardless of how much time it might take. Hisashi may not have prodigal talent but he is more than willingly to take on necessary albeit dirty tasks that are required of him.

Hisashi was, unsurprisingly, the child of two Kirigakure shinobi. His mother died from disease early on and so Hisashi does not recall much about her. He knew that her death had affected his father though the man had done a good job of hiding it. It was said that Hisashi's father was one of the most talented medical ninja in Kirigakure but many said he lacked the mental fortitude for his profession. The man's compassion gave him the aura of a healer but killing others bothered the man greatly. Hisashi always got the impression that his father would rather have chosen a different lifestyle. As a child, Hisashi could only see this as a sign of weakness in his father. Still, the man had a strong sense of duty and those talented in medical ninjutsu were a rare breed. Unfortunately kindness and mercy do not have a place in the world of shinobi.
It was around the time that Hisashi entered the academy that his father was sent on a mission to escort one of the minor lords of the Mist. Their caravan was ambushed by a group of rogue ninja who were intent on kidnapping the lord. The Kiri-nin managed to fend off the attack but Hisashi's father was one of the many casualties. Hisashi later learned that his father had shown mercy to one of the attackers and was eventually killed by the same man. They had never been close as father and son but Hisashi had respected his father. He knew the man had died because of his own folly but the young shinobi's hatred of Missing-nin grew exponentially that day. The man had been his father after all, no matter differences the two may have had.
His early days at the academy were marked with rugged determination but also a growing cynicism. It soon became apparent that Hisashi was talented but neither was he necessarily a prodigy. His personality took a turn for a worst as he strove to better himself whatever the cost. Whether through fate or a fulfilling prophecy, Hisashi showed himself to be a shinobi that was very much the opposite of his father. The one thing that set Hisashi apart from his peers was that he displayed an aptitude for Sensory jutsu. It is often stated that such an ability only came from a natural affinity as opposed to a learned skill. Hisashi would eventually use this talent to cement his role within Kirigakure.
There were few who were surprised with his rapid ascent to Chuunin. The exams, while trying, had not proved too difficult. Hisashi's real challenge would come when he finally assigned to a team. He struggled with missions he considered tedious as they did not too much to further his growth or desires. The true prodigies of the village quickly rose past him as they remained unhindered by such things. Hisashi trained and struggled for years as a Chuunin, his accomplishments in the academy no longer counted for anything. Of course achieving the rank of Jounin was rare and hardly a simple feat but Hisashi had long since believed he was up to par. It took years of hard work but eventually the shinobi found a niche for himself.
Hisashi and his team were assigned to track down a moderately leveled Missing-nin. It was in this role that the wayward shinobi was truly in his element. His ability as a sensor made him the ideal person to hunt down and track shinboi while his honed ninjutsu saw that the job was finished. Talent, personal drive, and personality all contributed to Hisashi's expertise in hunting down Missing-Nin. His relentless pursuit and continued effectiveness over the years earned him in the moniker 'Ryōken no Kiri', the Hunting Dog of the Mist. Given a new purpose, Hisashi saw his skills and instincts heighten to a new level. His success did not go unnoticed and he has recently been promoted to the rank of Tokubetsu Jonin. The increasing turbulence of the times and existence of dangerous Missing-nin makes it likely that Hisashi will be very busy in the days to come. | ooc info
