personality
biography Ryoma is the eldest son of Ichiro, the head of the Namikaze clan. Ichiro has jockeyed for the Namikaze clan to be one of the more respected clans in Konohagakure. He was born alongside his twin sister, Eiko and has a younger brother Jaden. Ryoma's mother died following Jaden's birth. It is best to say that Ryoma endured his family over all other things. He is the only member of his immediate family to hold good relationships with everyone. Ryoma and his father have a very respectable relationship despite Ryoma's indifference towards Ichiro. As Ichiro's heir he typically displays favoritism towards Ryoma and typically is apathetic towards his other children. He is also very close to Eiko and Jaden despite them constantly being at one another's necks. Much of their childhood was filled with them having to live up to the expectations set by their father and expectations he sets for the clan. From his youth Ryoma was constantly schooled, tutored, and trained by various people whom Ichiro paid to do so. While Eiko and Jaden were also subjected to such, the bar was constantly set higher and higher for Ryoma by Ichiro. He typically grabbed onto the brass ring so to say and used that as his motor and pushed himself to burst through the glass ceiling. He wanted to live up to his father's albeit unrealistic expectations. At this time Ryoma looked up to Ichiro because of how accomplished he was as a ninja. His accolades defined him and empowered him enough to believe him and his children were of blue blood. Ryoma truly did not understand this until him and his siblings were placed in the ninja academy and saw that no one was truly looking to associate them. It confused him but the Namikaze 'nobility' was a gift and a curse. Ryoma's time as a genin was when he found himself to say the least. He was placed on a team with his twin sister Eiko and another shinobi named Shunsui. Their sensei happened to be someone who had previously trained the Namikaze children, Ryoma understood this was part of his father's influence but nevertheless saw it as an opportunity to train himself better. He felt that one of the most extravagant parts of being a genin was that he had a chance to traverse the ninja world. As a genin he was a workhorse, constantly seeking the approval of his father. About a year into his shinobi career he took place in what he considers his most notable mission to date. Because of Shunsui's overconfidence and believing he was a shinobi prodigy he ended up being captured by opposing forces. Shortly after, Ryoma and his sensei launched a rescue mission to retrieve him. Due to the element of surprise they were able to get the upper hand on Shunsui's captors and managed to subdue them. However Shunsui died shortly after their arrival due to the interrogation tactics they used on him. Ryoma was overcome with anger and proceeded to stab one of Shunsui's captors. Upon returning to the village Ryoma sought his father's advice about what had transpired. While he was evidently bothered by the unnecessary violence, Ichiro could only offer a chuckle and proceeded to berate Ryoma for his ignorance. He laid out what being a shinobi truly meant and how such things occurred so commonly. Ryoma protested that if he was expected to carry out the same lowly things that a criminal would why was he taught to hold his head so high. Ichiro's only response to Ryoma was that a Lion does not concern himself with the opinions of Sheep. Taken back, that phrase did stick with Ryoma and while his relationship with his father had changed he began to hold onto other ideals and understand how wrong the world truly was. Shortly after Shunsui's death, Jaden was added to Ryoma's team. They continued to operate for another 2 and a half years before the Namikaze trio were promoted to chuunin. While it was debatable about whether Jaden and Eiko were ready, there was no debate for Ryoma. He had truly become one of the better young shinobi to come out of Konohagakure. As a chuunin Ryoma typically has continued his training with a variety of people whom his father still hires. His shinobi work has become his release from his family. While he was raised with ruthlessness being a virtue and taught how to maneuver politically, he likes to stay out of family business as much as he can. Perhaps that is why he maintains a good relationship with his siblings and father who constantly butt head amongst one another. Being a shinobi is his escape and he intends to be the best damn shinobi in the ninja world one day. | ooc info ☆ NAME Jay™ ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ FACE CLAIM Bleach Shinji Hirako, Ryoma Namikaze THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO YOUR NAME.
