Not so Snow White

Post by Ryūza Koizumi on Jul 31, 2014 19:28:54 GMT -7
While the cancellation of Snow White has not been revealed to the public we can now say that the main actors have been kidnapped by a ragtag group of bandits from Takigakure. We need our shinobi to go forth and rescue the actors. There is currently a bounty on the bandit leader so if he is captured alive you will receive a bonus.
Bang, clank, bang
Ryuza ran downstairs, it was Saturday and Saturday was his day that he rewarded himself by drinking a cup of tea. Ryuza commonly made tea with extra milk inside of it but just recently he had discovered he was lactose intolerant. Even though he had discovered he was lactose intolerant, every Saturday he would reward himself with a cup of tea with extra milk, hoping that he was able to drink milk without getting explosive diarrhea and releasing excessive gas. Ryuza stopped running when he reached the last step of the staircase. He then stepped down, his right foot making contact with the floor and his left foot following. He headed towards the kitchen; he opened the fridge and took out the carton of milk. He prepared the tea and when it was finished he took a seat, holding a cup of burning hot tea in one hand and a newspaper in the other hand. Taking a sip of his tea and moving his hair to the side, he began to read the newspaper. Ryuza almost spit out his tea when he spotted the main article, he began to read the article while taking slow sips of his tea in a delicate manner.
'Breaking News'
A group of bandits have captured a group of actors, demanding money and telling them that they'd reward them afterwards, however, the actors had hardly any money and prized possessions with them at the time. That being said, the bandits have kept them in a facility not far from Takigakure. Save them and arrest the bandits, dead or alive.
"What the fuck, I was waiting for that Snow White play and these hooligans just had to ruin the fucking play a day before the play was going to be performed, couldn't they have abducted them two days after yesterday?!"
His face started to turn a shade of dark red, his hand started to shake and he engulfed the cup of tea in one huge sip. Ryuza doubted anybody went to rescue those actors yet so Ryuza decided he'd go do it. He stood up and stretched in a lax fashion. His stretches looked quite weird and ugly, but Ryuza did not think that, he thought his style of stretching was beautiful and unique. After he had finished stretching he headed upstairs, he knocked down the teacup and he could care less. He headed upstairs to put on his casual battle clothing.
Ryuza’s choice of attire was relatively simple. The most distinguishable part of his clothing was the hood he stitched on to his current attire which was the hood of his dad. The rest of his attire was symbolic of his warrior heritage. A black vest being the only cloth to cover his torso, the bulk of his chest is exposed revealing a toned physique. His pant legs were tucked nicely into his sandals, generating a billowing effect at his ankles while his arms are protected beneath steel forearm guards. A black sash usually spending a blade is always present while a thick wrap rests around his forehead as a headband. Sunagakure’s insignia is embroidered along such a headband in the form of a hitai-ate. Lastly, draped loosely, though affectionately around his neck, Ryūza dons a sallow white scarf—its importance being only known to himself. No distinguishing features are present; his body is lean and toned and while he has no tattoos, his chest and back are pledged by scars of battle. Some healed to perfection then others, his strong chest and chiseled abdomens are riddled with tales from his previous battles.
Yet again, Ryuza ran downstairs, opened his house's door and then slammed it shut. Ryuza thought of the case in his head, as he thought about it, he had heard a few of the same cases occur to the northeast of Takigakure. He strapped on the casual Sunagakure forehead protector and started heading towards his destination, this was going to be interesting.

The world was darkness, the voice was light, the listener... death. The white-haired boy stared at it directly without even flinching, the dark mysteries behind that cloak would never be his... or wait, they already were his. "What is it you want... morthal" , asked Death, graceful and kingly as ever, his voice a soothing song for the ears despite his appearance. "What is the meaning of life Shinigami?..." asked the boy. The Grim Reaper straightened himself up raising his scythe to make it visible in all it's glory. He laughed, and the boy joined. "I'm just kidding , let's go play" he said in a childish tone and the world suddenly became the light, the voice was darkness and the listener... well...
Keiji slowly and carefully opened his eyes, the blinded by the sun rays that were just now covering his skin. Somebody pulled the curtains, somebody walked into his home without permission, a thief?! He didn't care enough to get up from bed and check, instead he just covered himself with the sheets. "Mhmm, go away" he finally understood the situation, who else would force him to get out of bed and wake him up in the morning? "Oyyy you lazyass , get up! I'm going to burn that sheet if you don't!". It was Machiru's voice, one of the few ninjas he got acquainted with during a mission. Apparently since that time, the higher ups made him act as a nanny for Toshiro, thing he hated a lot. He lowered the sheet just a bit to take a look at the ninja "I don't wanna" he replied in haste pulling back the sheet and crawling himself like a ball. "BAKA! You haven't left the house in weeks, no missions , no activities , no nothing! The higher-ups are starting to notice and they aren't happy with your performance Keiji!". Machiru was furious but his tone sounded somewhat worried. Keiji appreciated it but not enough to get out of the bed "Go away..." he said again pushing one leg out of his sheet fortress towards Machiru. With a sigh he approached the bed and pulled the sheet off Keiji even if he was pulling it back using his teeth. As soon as his body was free of it he wanted to get on his ass but was stopped by the fact that there was a Jounin Vest that just got launched at his face. "Get dressed! Here are the details of the mission, go wait for your partner by the gate". Pushing the vest away he took a look at the piece of paper with the details of the mission. "Ahhh, it's been quite a while". He was talking about Tracking missions. He had been banned from performing such missions due to some problems that had arisen during past experiences, it came almost as a shock for him to be chosen to do something like this.
Without even bothering to change his clothes, he wore the Jounin vest above his pajama shirt and tied his ninja badge to his leg and left for the gates in haste. Machiru didn't even get a chance to say good luck as he disappeared out the window. As he got closer and closer to the place of meeting he started going about the information he got from the mission. Actors got abducted by bandits , they were supposed to play the "Snow White" , and they are possibly in Takigakure right now. Ah right, and the bounty on the bandit leader. "What's wrong with people these days?..." it wasn't the fact that somebody got kidnapped , no, that was a casual activity in these parts it's just that... actors? Really? You'd actually think people will pay you enough to be worth the trouble for actors? Now that was just lousy and lazy planning, not that he should really judge about things like those. And why the Snow White? It's a silly thing to think the bandit leader is a connoisseur of art and literacy , so he did this in order to save the purity of it by declining the people , the pleasure of watching a crappy play like this.
And there he was finally , at the gates of Sunagakure waiting for his partner, in the floor glory of his pijamas covered by only his Jounin Vest who seemed to containing a scroll in one of the chest pockets. "Now where might he be?" he asked himself as he checked at the huge clock on the gate. As far as he was concerned since there was already one Jounin on a mission with petty bandits his partner will most likely be a genin or weaker. Bandits are no real threat after all unless... He shook his head kicking that idea out of his mind. "Come on kid, we've got a job to do" he muttered to himself as he stared at the scroll in his pocket.

Times had changed over the past two hundred years in Sunagakure and the hidden village now was shaped like a circle with three gates. One separated the outside of Sunagakure and the outskirts of it, the next separated the outskirts and the middle class folks and the next gate separated the higher class and the middle class. Ryuza hated the new system of Sunagakure very much and wanted it to go back to how it was in the past where nobody was ever separated and everyone was together. He felt that if it went back to the old system everyone would be happy and togetherness would fill each and everyone's heart. But with the new system everyone was separated and judging people by their economical status started to become more of an occurrence. It was two minutes into his jog when the white-haired salamander finally reached the gates that lead to the outside of Sunagakure and into the vast desert. Ryuza expected at least one other shinobi to accompany himself on the mission since the bandits posed a potential threat to Sunagakure's civilians, even though it was a little to no chance that they would attack Sunagakure. Each and every threat had to be handled in the right manner and with great caution, in order to be a great shinobi everything must be handled seriously and that’s why Ryuza wasn’t so good at being a shinobi but being a boy who exhibited excessive bitch behaviour everywhere he went.
Ryuza really didn’t know who was his assigned partner and he judged it would be another Chuunin or a more proven Genin who was eligible for the upcoming Chuunin exams. As he waited for his partner, he sat down on an old wooden bench beside one of the shinobi that guarded the gate. These shinobi were able to manipulate the element of sand and successfully open and close the gates at anytime when needed. He slouched over and cupped his chin with his two hands and tapped his two feet on the ground at different times to create a rather odd but pleasant beat, well, most likely only pleasant to the salamander’s ears because the people around him gave him weird looks and Ryuza answered them with a few curse words and a ‘shoo’ motion with his stronger hand. Five more minutes had passed and his partner had not arrived at the gates and so Ryuza stood out and decided he was going to take the mission himself. A few steps to the left and he was staring at the gates but it seemed like the guards were off of duty now. Even though they were fully fledged headband wearing shinobi of Sunagakure they could not leave without permission from one of the guards. Now, he really didn’t want to wait because patient wasn’t the young dragon’s thing so he decided to spark a conversation with the next shinobi he saw.
Luckily for him, there was a shinobi he had never seen standing next to him. The man also possessed white hair which Ryuza had never seen other than on himself. He had a pair of grey orbs in his eyelids that seemed to stare through his soul. Ryuza found his attire very weird, a white long-sleeved pajama top, and white pajama pants. His white sleeved shirt was briefly covered by a vest for Jounin members. Ryuza wondered how he made the rank of Jounin if he had never spotted him in the streets, was he a phony shinobi that just dressed up like them? Ryuza thought he was quite creepy and it seemed like the man was staring through his soul. Thinking of words to start up a conversation, he placed his right hand around the back of his head and asked him two questions.
“Who are you and how’s it going?”
Little did he know this man was his partner for the mission.

Keiji didn't wait too long for his partner to appear yet the heat made the time pass so much slower. You'd think he should've been used to it after all this time, he was born and lived his life around these parts after all. He noticed Ryouza as soon as he could put eyes on him, he was standing out from the crowd mainly because everybody else was staring at him annoyed as the boy was probably trying to grab attention to himself. His behavior towards the crowd however was enough to make Keiji smile for a second since this is what he would probably do as well if he was in his place. Well considering he would care enough to react that is. It was made obvious that he was supposed to be his partner for the mission the moment he stopped and started looking for someone as well. When he eyed Keiji the look on his face was priceless. They stared at one another for a brief time before one of them opened their mouth to speak first.
“Who are you and how’s it going?”
Toshiro didn't want to answer at first, he just stood there and stared into the man's soul with those lifeless gray eyes of his. He raised his palm in form of a salute "Ohayoo.." he said trying to sound as full of life as he could, faking a smile. "I'll be your partner for the day, name's Keiji Toshiro, nice to meet you" as soon as he finished his sentence his expression went from all happy and casual back to his bored lifeless one. He turned to the shinobi at the gate and made a hand signed towards them just as they opened it briefly enough for the two to pass trough. He didn't even look back at Ryouza, just ran past the gate hoping the guy will follow him and keep up. He didn't want to waste any time. Get the Actors. Kill The Bandits. Get back to your comfy bed. That's what was going trough his mind right now. The first part of the trip was of course the desert, hot steaming infinite mounds of sand is all that it is. Most people say that the desert has no smell. Keiji and most of the Suna people would strongly disagree with that statement. If you can control your breath and nostrils you will be able to feel the smell of desert. Wed mud soaked in the blood of the people that died here, purity, heat, death. Toshiro approved of this smell, he couldn't think of anything more right for the the Land of the Wind, after all it keeps the same qualities the Suna people have been known for years. The first hint of tracks they found was an encampment , most probably owned by the bandits. They did a good thing trying to hide it, not that it would be that hard with all the shifting sand and all, but they forgot to disperse of the fire pit. Maybe it will come as a surprise for people to make a fire in the desert but it shouldn't be a shock. If you've slept one night here you'll know why. Judging from the position of the encampment Keiji managed to figure out the direction , path that they chose to take. They didn't even try to go round or confuse their trackers "Huh... Amateurs..." muttered the boy as he glared at his partner for a second to check on him. "I think they are going to go right trough Amegakure and Kusagakure" he stopped to let that sink in. "That's good , we'll be able to catch up with them somewhere along the road but be careful, the ninjas from those two villages might not be exactly happy with our presence". With that Keiji let the sand in his palm drip down and continued on the trail, checking every five minutes on his partner

"I'll be your partner for the day, name's Keiji Toshiro, nice to meet you" As he introduced himself Ryuza itched his chin, trying to remember if he had ever heard of the name spoken before him in the past. After a couple seconds of thinking he was almost one hundred percent sure he had never seen him nor had he heard of him. From the introduction it seemed as if he was the salamander’s assigned partner that was suppose to aid him in the saving of the recently abducted actors. The older shinobi commanded the returning guard to open the gates with a simple hand gesture; the shinobi must have had high authority around these parts if he was able to leave the village gates without clear verbal permission from the guard. As soon as the gates had fully opened a gust of sand blew right into Ryuza’s mouth and he was lucky that he shielded his eye’s from damage. Spitting the hard sand out, he noticed that his partner had already taken off on foot. He was quite a fast shinobi for someone who seemed as lazy as a bear when it hibernates.
The young dragon of Sunagakure rushed after the older shinobi who was accompanying him on the mission, mere minutes into the mission and they spotted tracks and they were definitely tracks of humans. Now, Ryuza was not sure who would come out this far into the desert unless they were on a mission and if they were on a mission there would be more footprints leading back to Sunagakure but these one’s just headed straight ahead. The bandits must have really been in a rush, maybe they were hungry? Maybe they needed to finish their chores? Maybe they had a tournament coming up and they had to practice for it? Even though it was very unlikely that any of those could be true, everything was a possibility in Ryuza’s odd mind.
His Jonin partner mentioned that they were going to have to go straight through either the hidden village of Amegakure or Kusagakure to get to their targets located in Takigakure. Amegakure was more of a war stricken place and bandits ran around everywhere while Kusagakure was moreso on the peaceful side. A sane human being would probably choose the safer route due to the fact they probably didn’t want to endanger their lives but Ryuza was different from the rest and he was going to head to Amegakure. They possibly could get in a fight or two but what harm could that do? Ryuza believed he was able to take down anybody and that nobody could stop him which was quite a cocky and arrogant thing to go by but whatever.
The wind started to blow faster in the middle of the desert and it appeared that a sandstorm was in the making and this was going to be a bad one. Ryuza knew when a sandstorm would be rough and when one would possess little to no threat and that was because he was literally born in the desert. As the winds started to blow faster the sand started to create more damage against Ryuza’s face so he simply wrapped his white scarf around his face and that made him seem like an assassin. As they followed the tracks with great intent, Ryuza heard a rustle in the sand, it was a very awkward noise and it definitely wasn’t the wind making noises due to the approaching storm. Someone or something was there and it also knew the pair was there. Ryuza had faced a sand spider and a couple sand hawks in his previous mission and they gave him the jitters. The last thing he wanted to do was lose energy or chakra from battling something like that. When it was least expected, Ryuza heard footsteps coming from behind him and out of the sand erupted a giant sand scorpion. At least seven times the size of a regular scorpion, it was massive, its claw’s were enough to slice one’s head off and its pincer could probably inject enough venom into a person to kill them within an hour of piercing their skin. Ryuza immediately hopped back and prepared for battle with the desert creature.

Surprisingly or not Keiji started to like this guy. He wasn't as talkative as his other past partners, he didn't bitch all the time and up until now, he avoided bugging him. Who knows, maybe after this Keiji will even treat him with some food before he goes back to his cozy bed. Hmm, that reminded him "Cozy...". The feeling was heavenly in the middle of the desert, sand sprouting in your face from all sides and due to his attire it even got under his clothes. "Troublesome, annoying... wanna go back". He tried to ignore all of this and started to make a move on the trail but he was interrupted by what sounded like somebody fucking up. He looked over his shoulder just as he was about to make a step and his eyes got wider. He got caught by surprise, his partner was standing in front of a giant sand scorpion that just decided it's a good idea to come out of the ground and kill some people. Or maybe he considered them food? What do scorpions eat anway? Keiji shook away these thoughts and threw the scroll in his jacket far away in the air right above the creature "Bullshit!" he yelled just to make his partner sure he was aware of the situation.
The scroll in the air finally poofed releasing a cloud of smoke around it, only a huge silhouette being visible trough the summoning smoke. The scorpion released a dying screech as it's life surged away from it's body. It happened almost in an instant. The big silhouette descended from the smoke and it's scythe pierced the scorpion's head stamping it to the ground. With the sandstorm and all Ryouza shouldn't be able to see much rather then a huge scythe and a cloaked mysterious person that looked somewhat like the Grim Reaper. It seemed to notice the boy because it raised it's head, behind the cloak only a blue bright eye being visible for a second, piercing the boy's gaze and staring at him with both horror and murderous intent. "POOF". Another cloud of white smoke and it went away. Keiji appeared by the boy and put his hand on his shoulder "What are you doing? We're not allowed to waste time on things like these, the more we wait or delay the slimmer the chances that we'll found our targets alive." He pushed him slightly towards the direction of the trail which happened to be in the same direction the scorpion's lifeless husk was standing. "Get a move on" he ordered him before getting a move on himself.
All the road to Amegakure he hadn't even glanced back at the kid, not a word. It's not like he cared anyway, he was sent on a mission and he's going to complete it as fast and efficiently as possible, without being kept back by his partner. He may be one of the laziest people in the world but when it comes to business and duty that changes completely. The environement changed, which was a good thing , the desert can get very boring when all you see before you are dunes and sandstorms. This land seemed to be quite the opposite to the desert even if the two were neighbors. The weather here, compared to the always hot days and freezing nights of the desert , was mostly full of rain. Well the name says it all after all. The water drops on his skin were a welcomed touch but he knew this would be bad later and he could catch a cold. It's not the best of things to wear wet clothes. Keiji was somewhat lost at this point , forests weren't really familiar ground for him, he always preferred open grounds. He finally looked back at Ryouza "Oy, it's your time to shine. I have a habbit to lose myself in these forests." He raised his hand and made a sign forward slowing down with his pace "Lead the way..."

It all happened in an instant and something that seemed like the Grim Reaper appeared out of nowhere, it held its scythe which was covered with blood and it had a black cloak on. Ryuza was not sure what was happening but the scythe that the mythological legend was wielding pierced the spider’s large head and blood oozed all over the floor which made it look like the sand had become abstract paint. The spider’s black head was split open and after the spider stopped twitching which almost made Ryuza hurl, the legend poofed away. Right before it had poofed away though he managed to spot a transparent string that was attached to the grim reaper which symbolized some type of puppetry or witchcraft was in play here. The salamander did not know until this point his partner to be one that specialized in the rare art form of puppetry but he expected something like puppetry to be mastered by someone who had the same level of laziness as the puppeteer. Within seconds the pajama-wearing shinobi was right in front of Ryuza and his hand placed on his shoulder.
"What are you doing? We're not allowed to waste time on things like these, the more we wait or delay the slimmer the chances that we'll found our targets alive."
This is when people got on his nerves, accusing him of things that he never started. It wasn’t his fault that a fucking scorpion that was both oversized and overweight jumped out of nowhere and started charging towards his ass. Of course he was going to defend himself; he wasn’t going to die to in the middle of a desert and rot away in a couple hours. He felt like putting Keiji down and make him even more miserable like he did to everybody but he decided to keep his mouth shut for the timebeing. They had a mission to complete and Ryuza certainly did not want to mess it up. Hours and hours of walking consisted of no verbal communication and no friendly gestures to establish a friendship between the two; rather, it was more of a quiet trip until they reached an environment quite different from the desert surrounding Sunagakure. It was a forest of trees, each more than seventy feet in height and three meters in diameter. Insects of all sorts traveled on the floors of the forests while colourful butterflies painted the skies as they flew over top. At least it wasn’t like the giant spiders, scorpions and hawks that plagued the desert surrounding Sunagakure and due to that the young shinobi let out a sigh of relief. He did not have to deal with giant things other than humans for a while, hopefully. The temperature was much different in these parts, colder but not too cold, it was more on the mild side but it was very humid which made it sticky and that’s what Ryuza hated. Ryuza placed both arms on his hips and thought of what to do.
“Oy, it's your time to shine. I have a habit to lose myself in these forests."
Ryuza chuckled; the older puppeteer was asking him to lead the way. Everyone knew that Ryuza had only the worst sense of direction that the world had ever seen. For some reason he wasn’t gifted in that department like he was at battling with other shinobi. As they walked through the forest, Ryuza studied the various flora with even more intent. When he looked up at the trees they seemed to touch the clouds, shrubs and bushes littered the forest floor and everything was fresh, the ground was damp which symbolized a rainfall occurred within the past day or so. The scent that surrounded the area smelled like fresh flowers and a strange aura surrounded the duo which felt like again something or someone was stalking them. But the aura wasn’t as strong as the spider’s one was, if anything, it probably was just a normal sized spider waiting to strike, possibly a tarantula. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned into hours and it almost seemed as if time itself had stopped. The same trees, the same bugs, the same path, it was almost as if it was following them. Ryuza wondered how to get out of the forest, he looked around himself panting, his feet aching and with no prevail he looked towards Keiji in an attempt to see if he could lead the way.

And so they traveled... and traveled and traveled and tra-..
"Let's stop for a second" It was obvious already that they were walking in circles, lost into the entirety of this forest. Keiji even hoped that as they did so they at least managed to advance somewhat. "We need to think this trough" and with that he sat upon the ground , playing with his hair and staring at the boy. For a good few seconds he didn't say jack shit, he just inspected him closely. Maybe it would've been a better idea to let him take care of that insect back there, at least it would've given him the basics about this boy's ability. "What's your name?" he finally asked. All this time and he didn't know his name, it's not like the guy even bothered to give it anyway , but for some reason casual conversations would always clear Keiji's mind and help him come up with plans. This was always an odd thing to do whenever he was on the battlefield. While some of his "brothers" and "sisters" were dying left and right he was talking about ramen recipes.
"I see" he replied followed by a sigh.
Suddenly he got back to his feet interrupting the boy from whatever discussion he wanted to have with him. "I know what we must do!" he yelled then proceeded to take a kunai out of his vest. With the tip of one of his fingers he attached a chakra string to it and threw it forward with all his power until it hit a tree or a branch. "If we keep doing this and throwing it in the same direction it will be impossible to walk in circles, instead we will go in a straight line". Keiji was quite satisfied with the plan, he would see only later on that it has it's loopholes. And so the two ninjas continued to throw the kunai forward keeping a connection to it using Keiji's Chakra thread abilities.
"Alright, i think i see the forest's end" The sheer happiness of the moment soon vanished as he would set his sight upon Amegakure. There was something really wrong with how that village looked. The industrial design of it all made it look like even the air around it was sick. You could barely see the sky above it, only some rays of light being able to pass trough the clouds of smoke. Keiji sighed and looked over at Ryuza to check for a change in expression. They followed the trail up to the gates with no trouble though Keiji's clothes were mostly soaked, he had to do something about it once inside the village. The gates stood tall, few guard around them but they looked like sturdy men ready for anything. "Your name and business!" one of them demanded. Keiji kept his composure and replied in a respectfull yet somewhat bored tone "My name is Keiji Toshiro and this is Ryuza Koizumi, we are shinobi from the Sunagakure tracking a group of bandits that had kidnapped people from our village. We have strong leads that they are headed for Tagigakure. We request passage trough the village in order to hasten our trip and catch these criminals.". They stood at the gate for about ten minutes before one of the guard came back and approved the request. The gates opened for them and they entered the "great" village hidden under the rain... what a joke.

It seemed as if Keiji's simple plan involving his chakra threads had prevailed, it was not everyone that carried chakra threads with them everywhere they went but judging by the fact that the shinobi was a puppeteer it must have been quite useful and resourceful at the same time. Amegakure wasn't such a pleasant sight, its walls were bruised and battered by the scars that wars had left upon the war-stricken village. It seemed like anyone who chose to reside in the village would have to be ready for a battle at anytime. Hate must have been locked away in the deepest realms and dimensions of their shinobi's hearts. He did not even begin to comprehend how people even slept outside in this village when if they looked out the window at night all they would see was misery and evil complemented by the never pretty sight, darkness. Shifting from his current train of thoughts to the very fabric of reality he gazed at the guards who stood before the duo. They were quite sturdy and tough looking and exactly as he expected, they were armed and ready for a battle. The gates were tall and wooden which Ryuza thought was stupid, wood was not going to halt evil beings from intruding Amegakure, they needed something more durable and harder. Something that was more trustworthy in crisis times like these but judging by the appearance of the village, the economical status of the village must have been very poor and at the absolute bottom of the scale.
The guard demanded for their name's and their purpose of being near Amegakure in a rather rude fashion but the pink salamander could care less; if he became a guard in the future which he really did not plan on he would probably act the same. After about ten minutes of waiting patiently, the guard had come back and seemed to confirm their case. He positioned and then commanded his men to start opening the gate and they did so in quite a quick fashion. The gate opened with a sound that resembled one of an old wooden rocking chair that needed oil carefully applied to its joints. With a quick acceleration, Ryuza stopped when he entered the village, he took a quick glance and this just confirmed his suspicions. Everything was in a complete wreck, not a single soul was roaming the streets and whatever light that entered Amegakure was very little. But the thing that plagued the area the most was darkness.
"What the hell happened..?"
He walked very slowly through the streets, observing everything from the barred down shops to the lifeless sidewalks. Everything was in a complete mess, as they walked down the road in total he spotted one person and it was a small kid. He was sitting in his corner with crumbs of bread and a glass of water, he was sobbing and a portrait was perked up beside him. It was of an elderly woman, possibly of the kid's mother, but Ryuza was not going to do anything, they had a mission to complete and the mission always came before others. It was the way of the shinobi, little did they know as they walked down the streets there was a shinobi, or was he an assassin? Or was he just someone who stalked people for money? Everything was possible, he sat perched on the rooftops like a hawk waiting to go in for a kill and directly opposite of him was another that looked exactly like him. They seemed to be whispering through a walkie talkie to one another (yes there are walkie talkies in Naruto), every move that the duo made was followed by an exact copy by the two men.
What was going to happen next?

"Alright we're in" . You could call this progress , they were in Amegakure already and taking a shortcut trough the village even if not a pleasant one. This place looked ridiculous , only shades of gray pruple and black visible around the streets, even the people's skin was dirty with dust and mud. Keiji eyed every single spot in their road to built up to an impression. He didn't hate, or judged it. Places like these are due to appear in the world, without it , this place would get boring fast. Why would he care about how some other leaders rule their countries anyway? As the two ninjas walked towards the gate on the other side of the village Toshiro noticed there were two men following them, and by the looks of it Ryuza did as well. He sighed but didn't want to give themselves away. "Just a sec Ryuza-kun" he said with a smile on his face. He came back to him with two dango sticks handing one over to the boy "Here, we deserve it" keeping the same stupid smile he eyed Ryuza intently and then made a swift motion with his eyes at the men on the rooftops then back at him. He seemed to also have bought a notebook and a pen from the shop.
As they walked he acted as if he was gathering information about the village, writing things down on the notebook and saying outloud what he was supposed to be writing "Apparently that factory is used for making ninja weapons. Did you know that Ryuza-kun?". The kun at the end was started to get annoying for him to repeat but it was a good act nonetheless. The first things he wrote on the notebook were "We'll spread out" and he made it so that Ryuza could be able to read it without having to move his head yet not too obvious for the two on the rooftops to notice. "Try finding a dark spot" was the next one. He kept smiling at the boy, starting to get a little creepy considering his past behavior on this trip. Scribble Scribble. "We don't want to cause a commotion, take him down fast". With that he put the notebook back in his vest pocket and scratched the back of his head "Ah right Ryuza-kun, i forgot, since we are here i should really do something about my clothes, it's getting pretty weird to walk around in wet pajamas heh heh.. We'll meet at the gates". With that he went on the first street on the left into a long dark alley presumingly looking for a place to buy new clothes or borrow some.
The two "assassins" on the rooftops stopped for a second until there was a good distance between the two ninjas and then spread out as well, one of them following Keiji, and the other following Ryuza. Toshiro walked on the dark alley until he was sure the only people there were his stalker and himself then stopped suddenly and so did the man. He turned his head and stared directly at him making sure it was obvious he spotted him out "Shit!" the guy on rooftops muttered under his breath and without any ado he launched himself at Keiji trying to take his head off clean with a sword. While he was the air Keiji performed two seals staring the assassin in the eyes then with a delay another five. At first sight the attacker seemed to have won, his blade making Keiji's head flow in the air as blood burst out of his neck but with a poof his body turned into a log. "Bullshit!" his attacker screamed in frustration but that annoyance soon turned to horror as people from his past that he killed started to appear out of the walls in the dark alley shouting out his name. He lost focus and tried to make a run for it by turning backwards but as soon as he did Keiji was already there crawled and raised into his feet catching the man, pushing his fingers into his eyeballs slowly. "Hi there..." he said in a casual tone. His grip was tight and slowly pushing into the man's orbits to make sure he won't try anything. The genjutsu behind them dispersed as well. "Now let's play a little game i like call Squash". He pushed even more with his fingers to make it more threatening "If you don't answer my question, one eyeball goes. If you try anything funny, both eyeballs vanish. If you're good and cooperate... well... we'll see about that". The guy was crapping his pants from the shock earlier and from the new level of terror some fingers pushing into his skull brought. "P-p-please! I'll tell you anything!".
Keiji didn't even flinch, he kept the same bored expression even though the man couldn't his face. "Arigato! Now how many *teammates* do you have beside the other one that was with you earlier". "F-f-five! There are five of us. We left two behind to take care of any trackers..." "I see, what about the hiding spot? Where would we be able to find the actors?". The man heistated... bad play. One eyeball was squished and he cried in pain trying to move Keiji's hands away. "Calm down now... you're not following the rules. Don't make me ask again". "A CAVE! GOD DAMN IT! A CAVE! PLEASE STOP! IT HURTS!". "And where may this cave be?". It's a cruel way to see someone keep his composure like this when performing such acts but it never seemed cruel to Toshiro. "Where exactly?" "JUST AS YOU ENTER TAKIGAURE MOVE TOWARDS THE MOUNTAINS ON THE RIGHT! THE CAVE IT"S PRETTY EASY TO TAKE NOTICE OF! NOW PLEASE LET ME GO!" . A moment of silence went between the two men, well, not considering the man's sobs and shivering. "I see, thank you for the information" CLANK and his head turned around while his body fell on his knees then on the torso, somehow his face of horror still facing upward towards the sky. Dusting off his palms Keiji crouched down to pick up the walkie talkie "Ryuza, if you're there meet me at the gates on the other side, we got what we were looking for." With a sigh he actually left to look for a place to replace his wet pajamas and then he would be heading for the gates.
