Welcome to Unison Sign! We are a reimagined Naruto site taking place in an alternate world to the one from the canon. The continent we live on has greatly destabilized since the emergence of chakra. Bijuu now roam the earth and secrets from centuries ago are being discovered. To protect themselves and to better prepare for the road ahead, clans of shinobi have started to band together in groups and are setting up villages in which they can reside free of discrimination. OUT OF CHARACTER! Unison Sign is officially open! We've completely overhauled the site giving it a new look, new backstory, and new role playing system. We're still rolling out information posts and making changes to the board but feel free to get started on your characters and jump into the role play whenever you're ready. IN CHARACTER With the release of the bijuu and chakra reappearing in humans, the world has become incredibly unstable. To protect themselves from discrimination and prepare for the trials ahead clans of shinobi have started to gather together to form villages. Two villages already exist and this has put pressure on other clans to start to come together under their own banners. Will you help create these villages or do everything you can to stop them?

[Mission]
"I should've been sleeping..." . Sand was blowing at the duo from all sides, nature's assault for those who dared to pass trough the wild desert and even more upon those who were stubborn enough to make their home here. At this point Keiji didn't know if nature just hates the people of Sunagakure or it just wants to test their strength. Either way it was all very troublesome. His partner that was suffering trough this sandstorm along him was Haruna Koizumi, a very talented chuunin ninja from Keiji's own team. So what were they doing in the middle of the desert?
[2 hours earlier] 
Clanks and clicks were coming from the arm of "death" as Keiji was working on it, making the necessary adjustments in order to prepare for the hunt to come. It was already pretty late outside and he was almost finished. He had to wait for his partner before taking their leave anyway so he had all the time in the world to make sure everything is in order. Their target? A puppeteer ninja from Sunagakure who thought it was a good idea to just leave and go Rogue, like anybody in the village would allow that.
As soon as she arrived in front of his house they left to look for a information broker that seemed to know something that may help with their mission. They met inside the market place which was now emptied out, only a person beside the ninjas there. The looks of the broker surprised Keiji somewhat, but he didn't let it show. He looked nothing like what he expected, more like a normal citizen of Sunagakure, mostly a countryman rather then a secretive information broker. Keiji shrugged and made the deal with him. He asked nothing in return since apparently this ninja took refuge in his town, and was threatening people to keep his arrival a secret, even dared to hurt his wife. However Keiji did give him something back. The promise that he'll capture the asshole and get him out of the man's town.

And so the two ninjas managed to get past the sandstorm and apparently found themselves right in front of the town the broker described , just one hundred feet away from it. It seemed somewhat suspicious for the sandstorm to disperse just as they arrived to the spot, but Keiji let it go as he was more focused forward rather then backwards. He started walking towards the town keeping a fast pace so that he'll be in front of Haruna and protect her in case a trap's due. "Be careful, this man uses puppets for combat just as i do" just as he muttered that he rested his palm on the scroll tied to his vest. "Which means even the slightest cut or hit can turn out to be deadly by the end of the fight, even if you manage to kill him... Right, about killing him, it's highly suggested we don't". With that they arrived at the gates of the small town.

The sand was everywhere. Haruna could feel it bouncing off her skin. But living in Sunagakure, one would have gotten used to the nasty weather presented by the desert. Even the unbearable heat didn't affect those within her village. So here she was, walking over dune after dune of sand trying to get to some town where Keiji and Haruna were supposed to find some rogue ninja or whatever. Haruna couldn't concentrate with all the sand in her eyes, nose, pretty much every orifice. Finally, she took off her scarf and placed it around her mouth and nose to protect them from the harsh weather.
She woke up this morning with the same headache she got every day. It's as though every day the pain would spread, the intensity increasing with it. Some mornings she didn't even want to wake up to avoid having to feel like this. But she did, cause she knew she had a job to do. Since Ryuza wouldn't be joining the mission with her and Keiji, she didn't bother him and let him sleep in. She knew how hard he'd been working and thought it was right to let him sleep in. Her headache had put her in a bad mood, so she didn't feel like making breakfast, instead just taking an apple to go.
It didn't take long for Haruna to reach the entrance to Sunagakure. She spotted Keiji who waved her over and they didn't waste time, starting their journey immediately. She noticed that he was keeping a brisk pace ahead of her and she could only guess that it was to assert his superiority as her sensei or to be able to protect her, not that she needed. The pink haired kunoichi's head had stopped banging right before they entered the sandstorm only to be replaced by another annoyance. She was so happy when they finally reached the town in question where she breathed out, "Finally..." | 324 WORDS MADE BY ★MEULK

They walked into the town and everybody kept their gazes away from them, "minding their own business". It was starting to get suspicious since they were completely ignoring the two even when Keiji tried to address them. He turned over to Haruna "It seems he's still here and terrorizing this town. Keep your eyes opened" he said loud enough for everyone to hear, maybe by chance somebody will give him away, or he'll just try to make a run for it. And so he did. Out of one of the houses a cloaked man walked by casually towards the exit of the town and Keiji noticed him right away. He nodded his head at him for Haruna to take notice since he was behind her. "You there! Stop!" though just as the other villagers in the town he didn't, he continued to walk not even raising the pace. "Bothersome..." muttered Keiji before running over to him. As soon as he got in range he put the hand on the man's shoulder and turned him over to face him. CLANK CLANK. It was a trap, this was actually a puppet. It opened it's mouth , it's body moving chaotically and Keiji jumped backwards in a second. The puppet exploded , multiple senbons being blown away in all directions. Toshiro quickly took out his kunai and blocked the ones that were heading for his face and also made sure none of them scratched him as they may have been poisoned.
The moment he looked back he realized the senbons that got past him were heading for Haruna. He trusted her to dodge them but at the same time another puppet came launching from a nearby building at the girl from the side, revealing it's blade arm which was about cut her in half. "Blast it!". In the short time he had he took out the scroll from his jacket and opened it. POOF, his body was surrounded by white smoke and out of that smoke a huge scythe came flying in Haruna's direction, more to her right side. It caught the other puppet right in the torso making it dissemble into parts and the scythe falling on the ground. As soon as the smoke dispersed Keiji would be standing by the Grim Reaper, twitching his finger slowly to give commands to the puppet. He got closer to Haruna and sent his doll to get the scythe laying on the ground. When "death" grabbed the scythe off the ground black sand started surrounding the puppet soon providing a cage for it. "Oyyy, they sent another puppeteer for me? And a girl? That's disgusting... Don't they know who i am?". The guy was sitting on top of a building all cocky looking down on Keiji. "What are you going to do now without your puppet huh? Throw kunais at me? HAH! I bet you can't protect the girl anymore.".
Keiji stopped in his tracks and looked up really tired of his shit. The black around his eyes got more obvious as he stared him down "She can take care of herself, as a matter of fact i bet she'll be the one to kick your ass". The man snickered at the comment "Well, she has better chances then you do now, idiot". Keiji never liked rude people, not because of the insults, but because of their arrogance. He thought a little a bit about the fact that the reward isn't worth the effort of not killing the asshole, but then he remembered he has a partner who may be looking forward to some cash. He wasn't kidding when he said she was the one who'll kick his ass, since she has more chances to capture the guy alive rather then kill him. He'll trust her with this.

Haruna followed her sensei as he made his way around town. It was as though he knew exactly where he was going. Had he been here before? Before she could even finish the thought, Keiji ran towards a cloaked figure. She thought that it was already over, that they'd captured their man when the cloaked figure turned out to a puppet. Before Haruna could react, it exploded, sending senbons everywhere. Keiji seemed to be able to deflect them pretty easily, but now it was her turn. In a quick succession, she made a set of handseals. A large burst of wind blasted in front of her, sending the senbons back and into a nearby wall. Haruna then saw Keiji launch a scythe in her direction. She turned her head to see another puppet poised to attack her, but was destroyed by her sensei, to whom she thanked with a nod of her head. The young kunoichi turned her attention to the man that had attacked them. It seemed both his puppets had been taken down, one by its own technique. She wondered what he'd do next when Keiji sent a puppet to attack, but was trapped in some black sand. The pink haired girl listened to their conversation and was surprised that her sensei thought so highly of her. With this in mind, she took out a kunai and began running up the wall of the building their target was on. She knew he'd be able to counterattack her due to the distance between them. She glanced down and saw another wave of black sand traveling up the wall she was on, ready to take her down. Jumping off the wall, she sent her kunai towards the enemy and made a set of hand seals rapidly. She used the same jutsu as before, but this time as a blast to send her into the air. She overshot a bit, but landed safely on to the roof, just a few feet away from Akira. He looked at her, seeming to size her up, a vicious smile appearing on his face.

She was good, she moved fast, efficient and with grace. Keiji trusted her to do a good job she also did a good job impressing him. As he went up the building he realized the asshole is distracted, he underestimated Keiji the moment his puppet got trapped, like that's all he could do play with dolls. At the same time with Haruna he launched himself up the building waiting for a moment for him to have all his attention on the girl and she did a good job to provide with a distraction. As she landed on top of the building the idiot was checking her out and it was at this moment Keiji made his way behind him "You shouldn't be so oblivious to others jackass" he muttered in a soft voice to scare him. Before he could pin him down the man was already turned holding a kunai and slashing at him. With swift dodging motions the white-haired boy managed to deliver a kick to the stomach crouched down sending him flying backwards. This annoyed the man, he was even less skilled with Taijutsu then Toshiro. In a moment of rage he jumped up to attack him from air and Keiji took advantage. With swift handseals he sent a fire bullet flying from his mouth at the man which would surely make him fall down in pain and pass out eventually but he managed to block it raising a wave of sand in front of him.
Even so the impact of the flame bullet sent him flying towards Haruna at high speed with his back turned, and arms covering his face "Now! Take him down!" Keiji yelled taking a moment to rest. Right at that point the cage trapping his puppet vanished, the grim reaper was now free to do whatever it's master commanded it to. He pulled the puppet back next to him, the people in the small town terrified at the sight of "death" flying around. He then concentrated on Haruna, if she wouldn't be able to take the bastard down now Keiji was more then ready to take him out with his next move. As he stared at her he noticed something... she was pretty. He shook his head and covered his face with his palm "What the hell was that?...". Keiji was never used to interact with people let alone women or girls. Of course , during his lifetime he met some nice looking women and the sensation it came from gazing at them was always new to him "Now it's not the time for this bullshit" he muttered staring up at his puppet which from some reason looked as if it was snickering at him "Shut up..."

Haruna felt a chill go down her spine. It was as though she could feel the criminal's eyes on her. She was trying to think of her next move when Keiji began an assault. She knew that simply trapping his puppet wouldn't stop him, he was just giving the young kunoichi a chance to distract their opponent. She watched as Keiji strategically fought Akira. She was caught off-guard when she saw him flying towards her at high speed, not expecting to intervene in their fight, but now it was her turn once more. She got into a stance as she readied herself. She made a set of hand seals in a rapid succession. In a puff, her clone appeared beside her, but ran forward to face Akira. With this, Haruna had made another set of seals, a vortex of wind blasting from her mouth, slamming into the back of her opponent. The pink haired girl's clone grabbed the target in mid-air, spinning to side, bringing him down to the ground with great force. Once this was done, Haruna got rid of her double, thinking she had taken down her opponent. Suddenly, a puppet appeared over the side of the building, and made it's way down to the young Koizumi girl. Luckily, all it did was barrel into her, sending her to the ground. When she looked back over to Akira, he was already on his feet, his chakra tethered to his puppet. Haruna was amazed that he hadn't been knocked unconscious by her attack, but remembered that he was superior to her. But this only added to her determination. For a moment, she stared at the man before her, thinking up a plan of action. She moved her gaze over to Keiji who seemed to be already looking at her. She gave him a look that this was going to be harder than they thought.
