Mission Name: Take Two! Assassinate the Lord Hokage!

Location: Konoha/Fire Country
OOC Information: This mission will require at least two members of ANBU to accompany you. The story is set so that Masuka may have been one of few elders who supported Ryoko, though I tried to leave it open for you to manipulate it to your needs. The assassin is a Ninjutsu primary with an affinity for Katon. Where he is from and his intentions are completely up to you. Is he from one of Konoha's own clans? Or from outside your walls? As this could vary, the location will either be Konohagakure or the Fire Country.
Mission Description: Like an awful blast from the past, yet another attempt on the Lord Hokage's life resulted in one of the elder's and a member of ANBU being gravely wounded yesterday morning. The elder, Masuka Oda, isn't expected to make it through the night. As the injuries she sustained jumping in front of the Lord Hokage to protect him are proving too much for her old body. An ANBU by the name of Genbu immediately pursued the perpetrator, but was found with horrible burns on a roof top near the edge of the village. The attack has the elders in an uproar, and most are insistent that the Lord Hokage be hidden away for his own safety. An elite team of ANBU would be dispatched in his place. But as the attempt was on his life, some have argued the Lord Hokage has every right to find the perpetrator and bring him to justice.
Objective:
- Visit Elder Masuka and Genbu at the Konohagakure Hospital and collect any information the two might have on the perpetrator that you do not already have.
- Using the clues you've gathered, begin tracking the perpetrator back to their hideout.
- Once you have found the perpetrator, either detain or kill them.
