Welcome to Unison Sign! We are a reimagined Naruto site taking place in an alternate world to the one from the canon. The continent we live on has greatly destabilized since the emergence of chakra. Bijuu now roam the earth and secrets from centuries ago are being discovered. To protect themselves and to better prepare for the road ahead, clans of shinobi have started to band together in groups and are setting up villages in which they can reside free of discrimination. Join us as we build this world from the ground up.

OUT OF CHARACTER! Unison Sign is officially open! We've completely overhauled the site giving it a new look, new backstory, and new role playing system. We're still rolling out information posts and making changes to the board but feel free to get started on your characters and jump into the role play whenever you're ready. Make sure you are familiar with all of our new threads before you do though!
IN CHARACTER With the release of the bijuu and chakra reappearing in humans, the world has become incredibly unstable. To protect themselves from discrimination and prepare for the trials ahead clans of shinobi have started to gather together to form villages. Two villages already exist and this has put pressure on other clans to start to come together under their own banners. Will you help create these villages or do everything you can to stop them?

'You've gotten into my bloodstream' Residential District? Really? Well, it's no lie that people really lived in this place, but... Very few, if anybody at all, would consider a dump like this an actual 'living residence' street. Looked a lot more like a black market, in all truth.
The reason Kaede would give this place a visit is simply to see some old friends, people she grew up with who stayed in the neighborhood. Having grown into the slums' customaries, the girl learned how to enjoy the stupid things this rundown district has to offer, even nowadays taking some joy in it, along with her childhood pals. Those people were suspicious no matter how you look at it, and some of them were even criminals by that point, which makes it quite ironic for a law-keeper in the village to hang out with them. Nobody would trust a Chuunin walking around those guys; but Kaede didn't need strangers' trust. All she needed to know is who really has her back, and who she considers real 'friends' and 'allies'.
By the time Kaede finished with her small reunion, the sun was already past setting; though a tint of dark orange could still be seen in the horizon, through the mountains. Practically, it was evening; something around 8 PM. Great time to go grab some dinner. With that in mind, and with how she had not eaten in enough time, the hunger affecting her mood, Kaede decided to raid a booth, shop or restaurant on her way back. She wasn't really picky about what she could eat now; but it needed to taste good. No cravings for anything, but certainly disgust at anything bad. Well, that's natural, no? If you're treating yourself, might as well make it worthwhile. "There was that Takoyaki booth not far from here... But the owners got caught up in some heavy deals. Hope they're still running..." Making her decision, Kaede hastened her pace, walking towards the familiar Takoyaki booth. |

~Choose the Hard Word Path, Choose to be successful!~
It was another normal day for Gaiken, but it had something special, something that didn't ever happen before. During this day, full of training and a lot of sweat, tears and blood, Gaiken didn't get the chance to grab something to eat. It was really awful, it was terrifying as he didn't get the time to do the thing that he enjoyed doing everyday. He could've send his crows to get him some food, but that was canceled once he ran out of chakra and dropped it out. He lay there, on the ground, thinking about the moment when he would finally get the chance to prove himself worth his name and become the Iwagakure's Tsuchikage or, just to get his revenge on his brother. Some people told him that you cannot achieve both goals at the same time, but that was just a different way of looking at the things. If it was to choose, Gaiken would take the revenge path, completely ignoring the Tsuchikage one though. After he stood some time down there, he took a little nap and woke up at 7 PM. Now, that he stood in the sun all day long, he felt like he was about to colapse. He needed food and water, so he decided to take a walk in the Residential District, hoping that he'll find a restaurant or something like that from where he could grab something to eat. Suddenly, he saw a girl, somewhere around the age of 17-19, she was pretty. Gaiken was easily falling in love, so he decided to try his luck out with this mysterious girl. He transformed a crow into a feather and then wrote on it "Would you go on a date with me?". Then, by transforming the feather back into a crow, Gaiken send it right to the girl, waiting for her reaction. |

MY GIRLFRIEND | NO DOUBT ABOUT IT SHE'S A BAD, BAD GIRLFRIEND |
Much to her misfortune, Kaede never got around to arriving at the Takoyaki stand as she remembered. It was either moved, closed, or she just got lost, much to her irritation. She was hungry, darn it. Wouldn't it be logical for a booth to conveniently stand there, waiting for her arrival when she's in such a state? Annoyed with her inability to find her destination, the girl started randomly wandering around the residential district in search for really, any place that's open that can serve her some food. Depending on how much she'd pay or tip, is all a matter of how well the service is or how good the food would be. She clicked her tongue, trying her best to remain with a relatively calm attitude and not just snap at thin air.
Just then, a crow descended towards her. That was odd. Crows? What would an ugly bird like that want with someone like her? She didn't remember ever attracting crows before, or birds in general for that matter. Must be someone's servant, familiar, or technique, whatever. She'd just have to avoid it, or capture the creature and make it spill the beans; who sent it after her. Though, it stopped on the ground in-front of the woman, handing her very politely (for a crow of course) a single feather. Kaede did not understand a thing of what was going on. She frowned, clearly irritated further with the confusion. However, she only noticed the white handwriting on the feather as she came in closer to kick the darn bird. "What's this?" The crow was saved from an angry Kaede's kick. That is because she held herself from doing so.
The words that read on the feather were as follows: "Would you go on a date with me?" No address, no name given, no lead on who the person is, no nothing at all. Needless to say, Kaede couldn't figure out who this 'mysterious worshiper' of hers was, besides the fact he could send crows to deliver messages, which was pretty cool, but disgusting. She found amusement in that message, in this whole situation, and couldn't help but crack a smile. And then laugh a bit. "Hahaha! What's this supposed to be!?" Flipping over the feather, Kaede prepared to write her own message on the back, thinking to herself how could she play with this thing. Whoever it was that sent her the message, had guts; she'd give him that. Jumping the trigger without even getting to know the girl was a very bold tactic, often frowned upon by women. For several reasons. But Kaede found it pretty nice, it meant the guy knew exactly what he wanted and how.
Too bad he sent it through a letter and not directly came to confront her. That would have made her opinion of him much better. "Okay Romeo, let's play your game." She flung the feather back at the crow and continued to walk. The message she brought to the back of the feather was as follows:
