biography Kuro grew up never knowing his mother and father. His mother was killed in labour, while his father was killed on a mission months before his birth. He was their first and last child together. Growing up, Kuro had heard stories about his father. His father was a great Konoha shinobi. He was one who would do anything to protect those around him, and even moreso the ones close to him. Since Kuro's parents had passed away, Kuro was raised by an old shinobi of the village. He had long since retired from the life of a shinobi, and no longer took on missions himself. However, Kuro needed somebody to teach him the ways of the shinobi. He needed somebody to begin teaching him the basics before he could enter the shinobi academy. And so this elderly shinobi did. Every single day, from the day he could walk, run, and speak, to the day he graduated from the shinobi academy and became a genin, the old man tutored him. As a result, Kuro graduated with exceptional scores and praise. It was surprising, considering he had a particular interest in socializing and making friends. Throughout Kuro's years, he made few enemies, aside from the obvious opposing forces. He found it particularly easy to make friends, and got along great with all of the other residents of Konoha. Teamwork came naturally to him because of this, and it was easy to stick him into another team without sacrificing any chemistry between the teammates. Soon enough, the chuunin exams came around. Many of the competitors were tough, and gave Kuro a run for his money. He worked hard, and trained hard with the man who took him in as his own, each and every day in preparation for the exams. Kuro passed the written exam like flying colours. Part two to the examination wasn't overly challenging for Kuro and his team either. The real challenge came with part three, which was a tournament style fight. Many of the fighters gave Kuro a tough time. He was quite disappointed to have lost the second of his battles. As a result, this was not the year he became a chuunin. However, the follwing year, he more then made up for it. Over the course of that year, he trained harder than ever before, taking on every mission that he could. It paid off, as he passed every part of the examination the next year, and successfully became a chuunin. Two short years later, the man who took Kuro into his care had passed away. It was a peaceful death, and he died in his sleep. Kuro knew this day would come, and as sad as he was to see the man who raised him go, he was prepared. Another four years had passed, and Kuro had been promoted to Jounin. It was an incredible milestone for him, and he was very proud. Kuro worked hard to reach this stage, and only wanted to continue to rise up and become as strong as he possibly could. Even if this meant one day taking the Hokage's seat. Kuro had eventually been assigned his own team of Genin to look after and train. Each team consisted of three Genin fresh out of the academy, and a Jounin. These same Genin had been under Kuro's supervision over the next year. They had gone out on mission after mission, honing their skills, and Kuro was their to guide them along the way. One day, Kuro and his team were sent out on a mission. It started out as a D-Rank mission. Everything seemed normal as they ventured into the Water Country's territory. Unforunately, things were not as they seemed. Kuro had sent the Genin a little further ahead, while he scouted out the surrounding area, trying to track down their target. He had no idea that he sent his three genin straight into a mist ambush. Kuro heard the screams of his genin, so he rushed ahead. Once he reached them, one was already laying on the ground, dead. Kuro had made it just in time to watch the other two die right in front of his very eyes. He stood there, in disbelief, for a moment, before charging in and slaying each of the mist shinobi that had ambushed his team of genin. The mission wasn't the only failure in Kuro's eyes now. Five years have passed since Kuro had led his team of Genin into a fatal trap. Over the years, he has only blamed himself for such a mistake. A man who was once kind, generous, and proud, changed completely. If he's not on a mission, he's at the local tavern drinking himself stupid. He's taken up the nasty habit of smoking as well. Kuro refuses to work with a team of young genin. He is extremely afraid that he'll make another mistake just as costly, and get them killed once again. Kuro is even hesitant on teaming with seasoned shinobi, but as a shinobi himself, he still has a duty to fulfill. | ooc info ☆ NAME kurayami ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ FACE CLAIM Fate/Zero Emiya, Kiritsugu THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO kurayami.
