Item: Gekimetsu - Scythe
Appearance:
Pure black in colour, it blends in very well with the shadows and the darkness. The scythe is made of a strong, yet incredibly light metal. It's light enough to swing around quickly, and allow the wielder to move swiftly while holding it. Every inch of the scythe is pitch black, including the blade. The pole of the scythe is about as tall as Kuro himself, and the top of the blade is almost flush with the top of his head when he stands it straight up. On the bottom of the pole is a small spike that can also be used to puncture enemies. While the pole is perfectly straight, the blade extends outwards at a curve, typical of a scythe. The pole and the scythe were forged as one piece. The blade was not attached afterwards, which increases the durability of the blade, and allows for it to be a little lighter.

Description:
Gekimetsu is a scythe that Kuro had forged for himself by a legendary blacksmith. This blacksmith does not reside in Konoha, and Kuro had to travel far to have this weapon specially crafted for him. Kuro had it forged shortly after becoming a Chuunin. He had heard of this blacksmith from a client he had completed a mission for, and made his way to this blacksmith before travelling back to Konoha. Originally, the weapon did not have a name. Kuro quickly became attached to the weapon, and soon his entire fighting style began to revolve around it. Kuro decided it required a name if it were to be this important to him, and so he called it Gekimetsu. It is a blade that is used not to give hope to others, or to shed light where there is darkness. Gekimetsu is a blade meant for death and destruction. A blade Kuro only uses when he means to slay his target, no matter the cost. Many have been slain by this scythe, particularly in recent years. Some shinobi with a great sense of smell even claim that it reeks of blood.
