Ryuunosuke is a tall man, though he wasn't always. For the longest time he was one of the shortest Suoh clan members around, but a growth spurt in the last two years has put him towering over many of the clan members that used to tower over him when he was younger. He keeps a hard, toned body, as he is a primarily close combat ninja. Over the years his body has grown more bulky and muscular, not leaving too much to the imagination when walking around without his shirt on. He's got broad shoulders and toned abs. Ryuunosuke, however, has two prosthetic limbs. His left leg and right arm are both made out of the same black steel that his clan forges. The prosthetic on his right arm replaces the entire shoulder which was too heavily damaged as a child to save. His leg cuts off at the knee and everything below it is metal. Both arm and leg work without a hitch, and Ryuunosuke is even able to channel his chakra through both, thanks to the help of some very famous puppeteers in his clan. He has a tattoo of his clans symbol on the right side of his chest.
The young man has the same golden locks that his father, grandfather, and every other clan member before him paraded around when they were shinobi. He keeps his golden locks tied back in a long braid that reaches half a ways down his back. His bangs are hopeless, however, and always fall out of the braid if he tries to pull them back as well, so he just leaves them be. He has golden eyes that just about match the color of his hair. They're slightly darker in color, though, making them stand out a little more. His skin is just a little pale, though you are able to tell that he spends a lot of time out in the sunlight.
Ryuunosuke wears the same thing whenever he goes up to the surface of Iwagakure. Jet black pants, a black muscle shirt, and a black jacket are the first few layers. He wears black boots trimmed with red accents around the edges. The boots reach up just above the ankle and clasp tightly around, keeping his footwear from slipping or sliding in any way while he fights. The jacket it only clasped at the neck with a single metal plate, protecting his neck from any form of frontal attack. Over everything else he wears a long, red, leather jacket that reaches down almost to his ankles. There are many buttons to keep the jacket closed, and he uses almost every one of them, accept the ones around the neckline of the jacket. This allows people to see his face. However, when on missions, he buttons the jacket up the rest of the way to cover his face. He wears black gloves to cover his hands and hide the fact that he has a prosthetic arm. The gloves are have metal plates on the back of them to protect his knuckles. He keeps his fathers old pocket watch in his pocket and clipped to his belt. He only has one tool pouch and it's attached to his belt, hidden from view by his leather coat.
When in the underworld, Ryuunosuke wears nothing but the jet black pants and the boots. He also keeps his hair down and out of it's braid, preferring to let his hair fly when he's in a place as familiar as his home.

Ryuunosuke, first of all, is a stubborn cookie, though he's incredibly levelheaded and is a clear thinker. He's not one to back down from trying to win a fight. If he's knocked down, he'll always try his hardest to get back up. It's hard to get him to stop when he's set his mind to something, so he always seems to get himself into some sort of trouble. He's as hardheaded as they come, and he likely won't change anytime soon. Because of his hardheadedness, it also makes him seem incredibly arrogant and self centered, though that couldn't be any further from the truth.
The young Suoh tends to show incredible loyalty to all of his friends and teammates, standing up for them even in the most dire of situations. While it's reckless, he's more likely to jump in the way of an enemy attack than he is to let his teammate get hurt, or worse, die. While he's careful enough to avoid putting himself in the way of a fatal attack, the urge is there in the most dire of situations. If there's one thing that he hates more than anything, it's seeing his friends hurt. He can't stand seeing them suffer and he grows rather excitable whenever someone close to him is in any time of physical or emotional pain. While stubborn and sometimes unable to see past his little bubble of "I'm going to do this no matter what", he's incredibly kind, though at times he has a really odd way of showing that kindness.
Ryuu is very much a team player, however. He does take risks, yes, but he spends more time working with his team than doing something stupid on his own. He tries his best to make sure that each missions goes off without a hitch, and he's always happy when things go as planned. He's a stickler for being early and hates when others are late or cause him to be late himself. While he is incredibly loving and loyal toward his family, he lives by the motto "Blood makes you relatives, but loyalty makes you family." He considers all of his friends and his teammates his family and tends to show them the same kindness that he would a brother or sister.
This Suoh man, as stated before, is very hard working. He tries to take as much time as he can to train both his body, but also his mind. He loves reading and poetry, and when not training himself he's usually got his nose in a book. He doesn't care what he reads, as long as it's something that catches and keeps his attention. He's tried to write his own stories and poems, but to him, the words never come out as they should and he keeps all of his own work hidden away to spare himself the embarrassment of someone finding it. He doesn't have the heart to burn it, however.
Ryuunosuke is an incredible blacksmith, and since his first set of metal limbs, he's been making his own. He creates some of the most intracate and beautiful weapons and armor that you can find in the Suoh clan, and you can bet that if he's not on a mission, training, or reading, he's at one of the many forges. He enjoys teaching the younger generation how to smith whenever he has the chance, but you best not horseplay by one of the forges. You can bet that you'll either be punished severely by Ryuunosuke, or banned from them completely. He doesn't tolerate screwing around when it comes to the dangerous forges.
Ryuu is shy when it comes to women. Especially women that he may like. He's a terrible flirt and will come off as clumsy more often than not. He stutters and sputters and can't get his words out straight, no matter how hard that he may try.
While he does have a few quirks here and there, once you put him into a battle, he's a well oiled machine. All of the shyness and faux arrogance disappears and he fights his hardest to make sure that the outcome is always in his favor. He may be knocked down a few times here and there, but he's always one to pick himself back up and try again. He doesn't like to let himself fail because he feels that he will let his team down if he does.
Ryuu has a very happy go luck demeanor. He's always smiling and he's always friendly with everyone that he meets. He has a great sense of humor. He's always cracking jokes when he can, and always telling the sticklers and those with no sense of humor to lighten up. If he ever gets put with genin who have horrid tempers or mentalities, he'll more than likely spend quite a bit of time mocking them just because he finds that they're amusing when they're angry or frustrated with him. Ryuunosuke is a friendly dualist, and tends to challenge people to duals whenever he's in the mood, especially his big brothers best friend, Ryuujin.

Ryuunosuke Suoh was born to the family within the clan that was charged with protecting the clan vaults. The family was rather large and filled with some of the strongest members that the Suoh had to offer. His fathers name was also Ryuunosuke, and his mothers name was Kami. His mother had married into the clan from another clan in Iwagakure, and had already bore Ryuunosuke's father another son before he himself was born. Ryuu's bother was named Riku, and he was about six years older than him. The two were very close and enjoyed each others company very much. Riku was a kind and gentle soul, much preferring the arts to battle, though he was one of the more skilled children in the clan, especially in his age group.
Ryuunosuke loved his brother more than anyone else he'd ever known in the clan, and he spent every waking moment with the older boy whenever he wasn't busy with his studies or out on missions as a genin. He actually annoyed his brother quite often with all of the questions that he would ask, or all the pranks that he would try to play on Riku. Yet, the two were thicker than thieves and it seemed as if Riku loved his brother in return. Ryuunosuke watched his brother climb through the ranks as a shinobi, going from being a genin to a jounin in only four years. Any time that Riku was home would be spent with his brother and his brothers best friend, Ryuujin, either watching them play with instruments or listening to his brother recite poetry and various pieces of literature. It was actually Riku who taught Ryuunosuke how to read and write himself. Their father was always busy, and by this time their mother was deep in grief after the loss of a baby girl who had been born still.
Around the time that Ryuunosuke was to become a genin, something terrible happened to his family. His mother, father, and most of his direct cousins, aunts, and uncles were slaughtered, and the Suoh clan's treasured relic, the first Clan leader Ryuu Suoh's armor, was stolen. Ryuunosuke and Riku were the only two left alive from the carnage, and without even checking to see if his little brother was alright, Riku chased after the traitor, but was never seen or heard from again. Ryuunosuke didn't lose his life, but he was badly mutilated, and he had no memory of the event of the slaughter. A boy of eight at this time, he had to have his right arm and left leg amputated. Utterly crushed by the fact that he wouldn't be able to enter the ninja academy, Ryuunosuke fell into a deep depression and nothing and no one was able to pull him out of it.
Finally, the leaders of the Suoh clan made a decision regarding their crippled clan member. They requested the assistance of the greatest puppet master in the entire clan, as well as the best medic in the entire village of Iwagakure. The puppet master created two limbs out of black steel that were lined with tiny chakra reactive strings that would allow Ryuunosuke to perform jutsu. The medic performed a surgery that implanted two different mechanical apparatuses that would allow Ryuunosuke to move his limbs with ease, almost as if they were his true arms and legs. It took a while, but Ryuunosuke soon recovered, and by the age of ten, he'd entered into the ninja academy. Before that, however, Ryuunosuke had his Rite of Passage in which he created his own take on his prosthetic arm, complete with a weapons shooter, and steam compartment. It was intricate and well thought out, and Ryuunosuke was happy and prayed that his parents had been watching him.
He kept himself bundled up and his artificial limbs hidden from his classmates for fear of being mocked, and focused mostly on his studies. He made a few friends during his short time at the academy, but he graduated before all of them after passing the genin exam the first time with the higher level students. Soon after becoming a genin around eleven, he began to set his mind on working with his new body to use it to his advantage. He had just recently unlocked his kekkei genkai, and started to experiment with his metal limbs and his capabilities with his power over steel. Working tirelessly for days at a time, he finally discovered that he could shape and reshape the metal of his arm and leg into various weapons. Ecstatic that he'd discovered a way to be a little more useful in battle, Ryuunosuke started to train himself to fight with said weapons.
When it came time for his first chuunin exams, he failed miserably, his entire team being beaten during the preliminary examinations for the one on one combat section of the exams. He tried the next year and the year after that. On his fourth try, he completely annihilated the competition, wiping the floor in almost every single one of his matches. He came out on top, winning the entire tournament, and by the age of fifteen he'd become a chuunin. From there it was smooth sailing for the Suoh teenager. He worked tirelessly on new jutsu and bettering himself and his broken body. He had a rather uneventful few years until he was promoted to jounin and put in charge of a genin team. Now he spends much of his time training his team, but word of a the missing ninja that slaughtered his family is surfacing, and boy, is he a man with a score to settle. | ooc info
