biography In his early years, Devro had a pleasant life. His parents always spoiled him with gifts and other showings of affection. They always made life seem easy. There wasn't a dull moment for him. Even when he started training at the age of six, it was fun and enjoyable. His father would push him past his limits and was the only thing that really discouraged him. Though, he would quickly get over it and find ways to distract himself. At the age of nine, he entered the academy. He wasn't at the top of his class, but he was pretty darn close. When other kids would mingle with each other, he would sit on a bench and read. His favorite stories included those about the pre village days. The times where clans were abundant. The times in which people found honor in battle. He was teased a lot for not playing with others kids. The bullying continued well throughout his academy years. Until he graduated the academy, he was teased about not being able to communicate well with the other kids. It wasn't his fault he enjoyed being alone, but that didn't stop others from toying with him. His multiple piercings didn't help the case either. Eventually, the bullying changed him. He became depressed and distanced himself from both his classmates and his parents. His parents, having been shinobi, helped him get over his depression some by making sure he kept training. Though his attitude got better there was still the underlying hurt that he felt. This didn't stop him though from making his grades. He did better than most of his classmates that bullied him, which made a lot of them enraged. The day came for his graduation test. As of the old tradition, potential graduates had to spar as the last graduation requirement. Devro had to fight against one of the main antagonist that bullied him. The tension in him slightly increased and caused him to start shaking violently with hate. He wanted this guy to die. After four years of persecution, only so much a thirteen year old could keep bottled up. The match started pretty intensely with both of them fighting with their all. The match ended with Devro using a well timed dodge with a high kick to his opponent's face. Even after rendering his opponent unconscious, he continued to beat his opponent bloody. The only thing that stopping him was one of the academy instructors that pulled him off of the guy. His former classmates never crossed him again. His parents were proud of their son. He had now accomplished many missions and showed highly prospective sights to be a chuunin. After having spent three years as a genin, it was time for the chuunin exams. The exams were the hardest thing he had ever experienced in his life. He was fifteen and a bit young for the exams. They were challenging in both body and mind. The exam itself lasted four days on one of the small islands that surrounded Kiri. The exams helped him rebuild his self confidence and forge a new determination for being a shinobi. It had been a milestone that his mother was glad that he succeeded. Unfortunately, his father was out on war related missions and wasn't even aware that his son received his chuunin vest and gear. Upon his father's arrival home, a month after Devro's exams, he knew that something wasn't right. His usually overly excited dad had a look of gloom on his face for the next few weeks. Even his usual training sessions with his parents were different. His father had already set out on another mission. Devro realized that his father had left some of his ninja tools and rations on the dinner table. He quickly grabbed the supplies to hopefully catch up to him. When he got near his father, his eyes swelled up with tears as his father fell on his knees at the village gate. He tried to go near his father, but the village guards restrained him. His father had slit his own throat in front of his comrades. Not many knew how to face the death of a parent, but to actually witness their parent take their own life was even more traumatic. From that point on, Devro couldn't remove the image from his thoughts. Not only that, his father's service as a shinobi wasn't honored. There was no honor for shinobi who committed suicide. Devro had to bear this burden with his mother, but couldn't didn't have a lot of time to grieve. Less than a week from his father's death, Devro had been sent out with other units to combat Konoha's forces in the war. Many conflicts ended in mass bloodshed. Devro watched as his comrades died and likewise killed opposing shinobi from various villages. It was a lot for him to go through, but he coped with the scene. The effects of war finally hit him mentally. He came to the realization of why his father took his own life. War was a living nightmare. His unit joined with some Iwagakure shinobi had wiped out small and large villages of innocent people. His unit leader promoted the innocents' death. It was a part of war that was almost unavoidable. He kept telling himself that enemies could have been aided by these villagers. Though, every time they would take out a village there was no proof of enemy activity. The images of his victims young and old became implanted into his mind. He knew that if he survived that he would never be the same. Devro's mind became battle hardened. Each death started to make little to no difference to him. He became content in his hellish situation. When the conflicts had ended with the peace treaty by the new Mizukage, his unit only compromised of a jounin leader and five chuunin including himself. His unit started off as a group of twenty that dwindled with each battle. It seemed like even when they joined up with other units that his took the most casualties. Due to his fire ninjutsu and fighting style, he was even given the title Dragon of the Mist. He was glad that the war was over, but then again wished that the fighting would continue. There was something that wanted him to keep pushing forward, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He was clueless of the true reason why they were fighting. He even turned sixteen on the battlefield in a strange land. The experience of war was daunting, but he survived. He hated to think of what his other comrades had gone through. The comrades that actually survived since the beginning of the war. He only fought for a period of eight months, but he tried not to let the thoughts get to him. After the war had ended, he continued for the next seven years as a chuunin. The effects of the war had still rested on his mind. One couldn't forget the sights he had seen in his short life, but he was grateful. Now twenty three, he had just passed his trials as a jonin. Though, he was glad he was able to push through everything that this life had thrown at him. His past years as a chuunin didn't go unmerited. He had become a stronger and smarter shinobi. Over the last few years, Devro was strictly doing missions and proctoring for the chuunin exams. He refused taking on students, but has now opened up the possibility of taking on his own team. He hopes that he'll be able to train his future students for what it takes to survive in the shinobi world. | ooc info ☆ NAME Devro ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ FACE CLAIM Fairy tail Gajeel Redfox Yukimura Devro THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Devro.
