Tatsu is definitely a popular one with the ladies. And with the men too if they would ever be honest with themselves. What with all that long silky black hair, that ever present smirk, and those deep candy apple amber irises that can give a new meaning to "bedroom eyes." He stands at roughly six feet tall, with a lazy posture that could very well give away his no-care-attitude to anyone looking. His expressions can range anywhere between seductive and downright ridiculous given the situation, but most often they're full of cheeky grins and bouts of laughter. The man is not afraid to gush like a little girl, or act like the sexiest man alive if it gets him what he wants. He knows how to work it, yo.
Down his back, over his shoulders and around his left leg below the knee are an array of complex tattoos. Most of them are black and white, tribal in nature and littered with many elemental kanji and of the like, with a few reds and pinks to brighten up the artistic visage in the form of roses and flowers. He is quite proud of these expressions of art, and usually flaunts them about for people to stare at-- which means he's often shirtless. He doesn't have much jewelry to speak of, other than a few pins and bands to tie his hair back with, but he does have an impressive scar that travels horizontally across the bridge of his nose; which is really only one of many. Its worn, and faded from the sun, giving his image a rough look despite everything else.
His attire is pretty consistent. Tatsu is always seen in his red floral rimmed custom kimono; the design a bit of a trademark of his. With the kimono, he wears your typical shinobi pants from that of a Jounin rank, boots, and an array of taijutsu bandages that he may feel inclined to wrap over his hands or around his torso on one day over another. He usually keeps his torso bared, and doesn't deal in any types of armor simply because keeping himself light weight makes it easier to ramp up his speed in dire situations. Speed is important to his battle techniques.

It is indeed very hard to wipe the smirk or smiles off this particular shinobi's face, and anyone who has attempted before had always been faced with disappointment. Tatsu rarely takes anything very seriously-- at least unbeknownst to anyone around him. He would rather lay back and drink some sake with an enemy than physically fight. Using mind tricks or words to solve a situation is usually his first go-to.
Tatsu is a man that takes things as they are and is considerably easily adaptable. And while his attitude about things might appear idiotically or childish to others, do not mistake him for being unintelligent. He can be very observant and quick on his feet making it difficult to really predict his next move. He deflects most things with humor or banter as he considers his own silver tongue the deadliest of his weapons. His shield. His guard. He can make a pile of dirt seem like the most valuable object around to any simpleton with the right set of words and a whole lot of intuition. Laugh it off, as they say. Convincing a man that the sky is purple can be a deadly weapon if used in the right context.
Surprisingly enough, as animated he is with his expressions, most of them are not from the heart. Tatsu wears a mask upon a mask upon a mask. He purposely makes it difficult to understand what triggers his likes and dislikes. All that anyone can confirm for sure is that this shinobi enjoys breaking fortifications-- rules, laws. Anything that is heavily guarded and considered impossible to breach gets him unbelievably excited. The challenge of it and the risk of being caught is like Tatsu's personal drug, and yes he is painstakingly addicted to it. Telling him "no" or "he can't" will just entice him to try harder.

They say war changes a man. It can make him bitter, frustrated, confused, or even lost in the aftermath of it all. War meant damage, causalities and blood. But not all suffered in such a tragic way. That's right. There are no tragic back stories or depressing tales as far as Tatsu is concerned, so if you are here for a sob fest, better find some other history to dig up on. He grew up as a normal kid with a normal life with normal shinobi parents. As far as the records show, he is an only child and was not always called "Tatsu," or even by his rather more infamous tagline, "Doboro." He had a full given name once up on a time. Tatsuya Hayato.
Before Tatsuya had even graduated from Kumogakure's shinobi Academy at the young age of twelve, he had shown promise as a rare kekkei genkai user. Born with two chakra affinities that created another-- Jiton-- the Hayato's expected a lot from their son. But that had been expected. What parent didn't want the best and everything for their child? Tatsuya grew through the ranks with a reputation as an intelligent, talented and rather popular shinobi. He made a name for himself as a shinobi that could get you anything. Recon, intelligence, rumors-- with his abilities he moved like a shadow in the night, a whisper on the wind. If a client wanted it, Tatsuya could get it. It was simple as that.
Before he was fourteen, he sailed himself right into the ranks of a chuunin.
Then war happened.
All the norms that should have been expected from his new rank had been cast aside in favor of keeping a stance in the war. Secrets needed to be cracked. Supplies had to be gathered. Intelligence was a must. So, naturally, Tatsu's ability became an asset. His skills in recon in effort for the war got him promoted to jounin . But Kumogakure had not been the only village that took notice of him. Other villages began contracting him behind Kumogakure's back to steal and sabotage. Within the first year of the war, Tatsuya had quickly become known as Doboro in the criminal world. A thief.
Eventually, the war settled and ended, but Tatsu's new darker life did not.
And without the war to keep Kumogakure distracted, inevitably Tatsu had been caught, cornered in the process of a well planned heist gone supposedly wrong. He had surrendered suspiciously without a fight, claiming he was smart enough to know when he was caught. There had been suspicions of Tatsu covering for another, but as to whom, the man refused to give up. But the consequences of his actions had not been something to laugh about. After risking the integrity and the secrets of the village, Tatsu was sentenced to life imprisonment.
After coming out as the man he truly is, his parents then discarded him from the family in recognition and name. Burned him off the map. As of that day, Tatsuya Hayato no longer existed.
However, Tatsu would not stay imprisoned for long. Six months after his sentencing, he escaped with the aid of another. Speculations claimed it was the 'someone' Tatsu got caught for in the beginning. And they would be right. With Tsukiya Tsubasa's help, Tatsu escaped his punishment.
His current whereabouts are unknown.
