Ienori has long blue-black hair that he wears in a neat ponytail, leaving his fringe and two locks of hair free to frame his face and bright blue eyes. Standing at 5'8", he's not exactly short, but he wouldn't say he was tall either. He has a deceptively slender build that hides how lightly muscled he is, and he weighs about 139 lb. On an extra note, he has the symbol of an om in an open circle tattooed to his chest. [1]
As a civilian, Nori likes to wear thicker clothes, and though it's not unheard of, rarely wears t-shirts. This might have to do with his village's colder climate. When he's not in combat uniform, he tends towards beige cargo pants a comfortable jacket with lots of pockets, underneath which lies normal elbow-length sleeve tops. Some have interesting patterns, while others are plainer; it all depends on what sort of day it is and the mood he's in. At times, he'll wear a scarf around his neck. He seems to be fond of button-ups and ties.
When it comes to his usual ninja attire, Nori prefers thinner, looser clothes in spite of the weather, though his clothing is standard uniform for Kirigakure shinobi: a dark flak jacket over a long-sleeved dark shirt and loose gray pants cut to mid-calf, leading to bandaged calves and ninja boots. These are accompanied by the usual equipment pouches. Last but not least, the Kirigakure forehead protector tied around his left upper arm, turned to point away from his body.
To disguise himself, Nori will sometimes dress as a woman, something that he learned from his sensei while he was a genin. Amazingly enough, with a little makeup, he looks extremely feminine and can easily pass as a pretty girl with his wide voice range. Though he'll usually wear loose dresses that leave enough room for imagination for curves and cleavage, sometimes he'll take on a more "ninja" approach and wear a turtleneck black t-shirt and loose black pants. In this case, he has ways to make it seem like he has a chest without using any jutsu. As a "girl", he usually leaves his hair down and may sometimes wear hair accessories, and his forehead protector, if he wears one, goes around his neck like a choker.

To put it simply, Ienori's a little rough around the edges. He's not the most sociable and it might take a few meetings for him to be completely comfortable with someone, though that's already much better than how cold he was when he was younger. Pessimistic by nature, Nori's rather good at keeping his emotions separate from his actions. Logic and reasoning take precedence when he makes decisions, especially when it comes to missions, and because of this, he may come off as somewhat cold and heartless. Despite this, he isn't one to really care about rules; so long as something is logical and will get things done with the least amount of consequences, the law could go to hell for all he cared.
Above all, the teen is hardworking. He prefers order to chaos and likes being in control of the situation (or at least being in the know), so there are times when he can be a bit oppressive or domineering. With a will as strong as his own, he also persevering and isn't one to quit at something he's started, and being a born perfectionist, he'll try and make things as best as he can even if it kills him. Though he'll grumble and complain about something he's not entirely happy about, he's more than willing to shoulder others' burdens if he needs to.
Though Nori can take most things in a stride, he isn't the best at dealing with stress. Often called a work-a-holic, keeping himself busy with things is just his way of blowing off steam. This however, can sometimes be counterproductive when he ends up overworking himself and collapsing, which has happened from time to time. The more stressed Nori is, the more irritable he gets, and the more won't have as good of a grasp on his emotions as he normally does. When this occurs, his hidden insecurity usually comes to light, and though he claims he's always a little OCD, he gets more more impulsive the more anxious he is.
Despite living near so close to the sea, Nori has an inexplicable fear of fish. Over the last few years, he's been able to conquer it for the most part, and though he's still a little prone to freaking out when in the presence of those "dreaded finny things" and he still has trouble eating fish if he knows what it is, his fear seems to have mellowed out into something more comedic than anything. He's a little bad at being honest with his feelings, though it's gotten better now that he's older and more mature.

Born during a time of great conflict, Ienori led a childhood colored by war. He wouldn't really know what it was until he was old enough to become an Academy student, but even at a young age, he hadn't liked it. As far as he was concerned, "war" was anything he hadn't liked. Sometimes it was a person. Sometimes it was an action. Unable to fully understand this what this "war" thing was, he named a stuffed dog "War" and blamed it for all the things war had done to him. War made his mother cry even though she tried to hide it. War wouldn't let him see his father. War made him fall off the playground swing. War made fish exist.
By the time Nori entered the Academy, his stuffed dog was falling apart at the seams and riddled with new stitches that did nothing to help. Even after he realized he realized what exactly "war" was and meant, he kept the hated toy. He used it for target practice sometimes when he was feeling upset and displaced his negative feelings onto the stuffed creature. Refusing to throw it out or let it fall completely apart, he stitched it back up when it looked too beaten up. Sure he didn't really know how the first few times, but the stitching got better as time went on.
With war came a need for more ninja, and Nori and his class graduated a little earlier than most. Fortunately for them, the war was coming to an end. What followed were happy genin team days interspersed with bits and pieces of conflict that hadn't entirely died out and off days with his mother, who had survived and needed help with her restaurant. Life after the war wasn't so bad even as Kirigakure tried to nurse its wounds and restore itself to its former glory. Save for a mishap with his team that ended tragically in the deaths of his sensei and a team member, things weren't so bad. Life went on, he and his other team member, one Himawari Hirameku, stuck together, and he was mostly okay with how his life was turning out. It really could have been worse, after all.
After all these years, Nori has come far, doing his best to rise through the ranks and reach where he is now. He still has War stashed away somewhere, though he's long since stopped picking at it. He still hangs out with Ahowari, even now that they are tokubetsu jounin. His mother's restaurant is flourishing, and the woman herself will likely die of old age. Things are alright they way they are now, he thinks, and perhaps they'll be okay for a little longer. | ooc info
