Name: Shōkyaku
Classification: Ninjutsu
Rank: A-Rank
Type: Offensive
Element: Katon
Description: After performing the necessary handsigns the user must make contact with something by either placing their palms flat against it (e.g., the ground) or grabbing it (e.g., an object). After doing so flames will spew forth at an incredibly fast rate. When used on a flat surface the flames will travel outward from the point of origin in a ~100 degree cone. The same thing will happen when used on an object but the flames will travel along the length of the object until they either reach the end of it or get too far away from the point of origin. For small objects such as poles or swords, the entirety of it will be engulfed in flames. Constant contact with the user's hand has to be maintained for the fire to continue travelling along their respective paths.
The range on this technique varies from user to user and is based on the amount of chakra consumed. It can be used to burn an entire area or simply to force an opponent to back off a couple of meters.
Additional Information: This flame is incredibly hot, though it is relatively low to the ground, usually burning no higher than 4-6 feet high initially. For maximum effectiveness it should be used in a forested region to allow the flames to spread naturally and burn higher and hotter than they would if used on solid rock.
If it is used on a non-flammable surface, the fire will continue to burn for several minutes. However if used in an area with flammable materials such as a forest or an urban area the fire will continue to burn until it has run its course or is put out.
