brief description; 4’5’’, 77 lbs, dark skin, black short hair, magenta eyes.
visual description; although she may be a female, a child that may or may not enjoy to look good, the growth that young children on the road to becoming shinobi/kunoichi don’t get the chance to think about things majority of the time. as of such, she isn’t a person whom fully cares about her appearance, opting for comfort rather than cuteness/beauty when it comes to the way she looks. that doesn’t stop her from spouting a naturally adorable, or so people would say, appearance which is certainly a result of her still being a child. a lithe body build that is rather small in height and in weight. however she’s not completely thin, a proper eye can spot that her structure is slightly on the muscular side but subtly certainly showing that her body is built for physical combat as much as possible. her dark skin clouds most signs of miniscule scars and light burns likely made during days of training, other than that her skin practically lacks any imperfections. upon her left shoulder seems to be a marking, floral in design and certainly permanent along with piercing on both earlobes made for earring though she never had worn one in a year or so ever since graduating from academy. A scent almost scentless smell lingers from her body as she isn’t the type to use any kind of special body wash, practically making her scent usually based off her sweat.
kaoru has almost raven hair, however upon a closer inspection with a source of light it is possible to see that her hair is just a very pitch dark tone of brown. the hair is parted at the front, having two bangs. the left bang happens to be extraordinary long and tied to a hoop shaped trinket seeming to be made out of a bone of some kind. the trinket looks almost untouched, showing that she likely takes care of it even more than her own body meaning it holds some sentimental value. at most, her dark strands only cascade down to the length of her neck. Just as her body, it’s latching any unusual non-natural scents showing a lack of scented shampoo being used to clean it. she is a holder of two pairs of eyes reminiscent of magenta gems, having nothing that would be seen as strange about them. slightly thin eyes along with thin lashes, the only oddity about them is that upon some days bags may be seen under them at time as signs of fatigue as work related tasks may require lack of sleep. this occurrence is typically most of the days that she works as a shinobi. thin brows, small browns, slightly resembling a certain canine’s but thinner and shaped like a triangle, other than that her face is particularly normal and common.
as she is working as a genin, she isn't required to weak anything specific other than a simple headband which she wears as a bracelet rather than on her head. In terms of clothing she prefers to keep light as to not hinder her movement somewhat, always carrying the bare minimal in equipment. a plain short dress would normally be worn with tight shorts and nothing else other than a pair of shinobi shoes. though said to be impractical she finds it more easier to move in this rather than a simple tank top. the dress does seem to have side pockets however, commonly for storing kunai as well as any small items, padded in a way that rips wouldn’t be made if small blade were placed in there. at home or simply when not on the job, she is simply wearing a similar dress however more decorative with patterns and such and lacking the tight shorts. she opts to either wear sandals or simply nothing depending on where she is as freedom is her motto. if needed, her common choice for a swimming assemble would be a one piece of a chosen colour. typically her clothes colour differ from a few colours in which being beige, black, grey or simply a sand-like yellow. though she likely wouldn’t ever say it, she’s particularly fond of these plain colours rather than anything that may be described as flashy.
knacks/mannerism; being a girl whom rarely ever talks, people may assume her to be someone who is weak, shy and scared person. but this is quite far from the truth, one of the proofs is that her body language is one of an open and confident person. though her chin kept high, not to a ridiculous point while her arms are simply kept to her side. her posture doesn’t seem awkward in any way whatsoever and she certain seems to stand quite straight. the same going for when she sits, only hunched slightly when something of interest pops up. one of her knacks is to subconsciously bring up a her curl ring finger and place it upon her bottom lip when thinking. as for another, she slowly wags her leg from time to time, such as laying down or standing up by having her weight supported upon one leg which is a slight sign of either her impatience or excitement. as she is a fluent user of sign language having learned majority of the gestures herself in her own time, it’s common to see her utilizing her hands to make different signs in order to communicate with people despite having the ability to talk herself. other than that there isn’t anything else that she may do subconsciously, other than postures and styles for combat.
vocal description; the child has a flat, monotonous voice of a feminine pitch. it's quite rare that her voice goes higher or lower in pitch even when surprised sometimes causing people to believe that she has problems with her voice, it doesn't help with the fact that she barely ever speaks. persona description; kaoru is a child whom although she doesn’t seem like she may particularly care for anything with the fact that her face commonly bears a monotonous look, she certainly does have a friendly and kind attitude towards others. under what may seem to be a strong and durable shell is actually just a warm heart. she’s the kind of person whom would wave to everyone whom had entered a room if allowed and would listen to all the woes of others without any complaint. she may even go out of her way in order to help people without any qualms herself however this is not only one of her good traits but perhaps one of her worse as her kindness can often lead to her being manipulated by someone well intent to manipulate her. kaoru is still a child, although she is a shinobi it hasn't been that long since she became one and hasn't experienced the true hardships of the world. sure she was certainly abandoned as a child but she doesn't certainly remember a thing about that nor did that experience change anything about her. if anything it made her more trusting to the ones around her as she believes that this village is the sole reason to why she is alive. this is the reason why it’s quite problematic for her to be kind, fortunately most of her weak heart is unintentionally hidden by her typical behaviour.
known to have eyes as watchful as an owl in the night, Kaoru is certainly a girl whom can notice the smallest of things no one can't. say she's in a group travelling in the forest, it would likely be her to notice a glint of a blade and immediately spring into action first. her keen behaviour is certainly an asset to the fact that she has to go into danger and can and has helped her with multiple things in the past. this trait of hers is more or less here simply due to the fact that she's silent all of the time. though it may be seen as a good trait to others as it's general a trait of a great shinobi, the girl is quiet to an extent where it can be seen as explicitly unhealthy. she would never speak to a person nor would ever suggest something. it's almost as if she cannot speak at all, the only times that she does speak is if someone asks her something. otherwise she'd communicate purely with gestures of sign language which she had fully learned off her own accord, why she has done so isn’t fully known but it was probably because she had a lot of time upon her hands due to living alone with only silence as her company.
she's completely loyal to the village and loyal to anyone she knows, it's gotten to the point where she has even gotten compared to a canine as that's sometimes used as a way to mock her not that she's a girl that can get easily offended. is it out of fear? no, her actions are simply either out of respect or love towards a person but of course this can lead her into many pickles due to her naivety. but this trait of hers certainly does make things easier when she’s within a team and likely the best person to follow orders no matter what they are, however this also may cause a problem as she would never go against an order even if her mind thinks it’s not the best course of action. the girl possess a warped sense of values where she views others as the priority before herself no matter the situation. whether it’s a subconscious belief or not she doesn’t think that her life is of any value and is only used as a means to pay back the people important to her for protecting her and keeping her alive rather than discarding her. this strange belief was created upon the day that her father had left her and her mother which was probably the day that broke most of her mind and strayed her away from being a typical child. either way, she’s certainly a danger to herself if someone else happens to be in trouble, even more so if it’s someone she particularly cares about.
trivial information; though she rarely ever talks, she does have a knack for her speech, commonly ending all her words with "コウ" aka "kō". she commonly hold her hair ornament and talks to it, calling it "mama" at times, it seems to be her way of communicating to her deceased mother and a way she copes with tough times. |
