We're looking to bring on several new staff members to help out around the site. On Elysium we have three distinct staff groups that you can be a member of. Each group handles different tasks while also acting as a general moderator for the site. Here are the positions we currently have available.
Storyteller - Responsible for creating, reviewing and approving missions for other players. Storytellers will also now be required to intervene in IC threads as narrators, npc characters or environmental changes. This will mostly apply to solo missions but can also translate to any role playing thread that needs to be shaken up. Finally, they will be responsible for handling site-wide plots or IC changes to the world.
Chronicler - Responsible for reviewing information, applications, and rules to make sure that everything is held to the same standard and works well together. They are also in charge of approving characters, pricing out jutsu and items and ensuring that everything stays balanced. They must make sure that profiles or clans don't conflict with the sites backstory or 'canon' information.
Public Relations - Responsible primarily for assisting members with issues they're having around the forum as well as handling advertisements. They will be required to actively advertise on other sites and respond to first links and link backs. Affiliation will also be handled by Public Relations, making sure that people who apply follow our rules for it while also applying for affiliation on other applicable sites.
These roles are for all intents and purposes exclusive. This means that a Storyteller will not be able to approve applications or handle affiliation. Similarly no other staff will be able to deal with missions. The only shared duties are enforcement duties and general member assistance. Answering questions members have about the forum is a duty we expect all staff members to fulfill. We also require that all staff members know how to properly handle difficult situations involving rule breaking/bending.
If you're interested in joining our staff team please contact any of the administrators (Unison Sign, Kurayami, Kuzashi Yamada) with some information about you (why you're interested in becoming staff, what your timezone/availability is, what position you would like to fill). Keep in mind that all staff will start on a trial period, essentially testing the waters for two weeks. If you don't like the position you're in and would like to try something else out or just go back to being a regular member after these two weeks are up, you can. Alternatively, if the administration feels that you aren't able to meet the standards we set for staff after these two weeks you'll be set back to a normal member.
Because we're right back in the infancy of Elysium 2.0's life cycle what we're looking for now more than anything are people who are friendly, active, and engaging. These are the traits that are most likely to bring in new members and encourage them to stay. Previous staffing experience, particularly on Proboards is considered an asset.
We look forward to hearing from those interested,
Elysium Administration
