After crossing the unforgiving waters of Mizu no Kuni, you arrive at the docks sitting outside the mouth of a cave. It appears to be your only entrance into the Unknown Island, forcing you to proceed into it's depths after docking your boat. The water leads in the mouth of the cave, and any misstep may spell a swim for you if you do not tread carefully. The interior of the cave is dark, humid, and porous in appearance. With gapes in the rock letting small streams of light into the cave. It's difficult to see more than five feet in front of you, and the air is heavy despite the occasional breeze that whistles through the cave. There are no visible signs of life, with any vegetation easily withering away from the heat. Sitting atop a rock several feet into the cave is a scroll with very simple instructions: Make it out of the cave alive.

This is your first test. Many dangers will pose themselves to you and your team, some will be life threatening and others, simple fears you must overcome. Do not forget that you are not the only village navigating through this cave, and that the shinobi next to you may not be your ally.
Navigating the cave should take your characters at least half a day, if not longer. It is likely the heat trapped within the cave will make heat exhaustion a very real threat to those not accustomed to it, and lack of food and water may also pose an issue the longer you take. You are free to be as creative with the cave and its dangers as you'd like. Upon successful completion of the cave, you should arrive at a large forest for the second test.
