biography Umashi was born in the village of Konohagakure no Sato to a young woman by the name of Aoi and his father, a traveling samurai who had finally found his way home. He was not an only child, as his parents always sired a brother and a sister, the brother a year younger and the sister a few years Umashi's elder. Growing up Umashi had two goals and aspirations in life, the first was to be the most handsome man in the entire village, and the second was to become a very strong shinobi. His brother and he both entered into the academy at the respective ages of seven and eight. His sister had no intention of becoming a shinobi and instead learned from her mother on how to be a seamstress. Learning in the academy was hard for both boys, as their chakra pools were much smaller than the other kids who had full fledged shinobi for both parents, to supplement this weakness, they asked their father to teach them the ways of the sword to which he obliged. At the ages of nine and eight he gave them both their first swords, made of wood and told them that in order to be master swordsmen they needed to know two things, how to be as still as a blade of grass, and how to attack with the speed of a hawk. Of course the boys didn't understand these lessons at first and preferred to use the swords to play "pirates" with the other children, but as time went on and they matured they slowly began to understand what it was they needed to do. At the ages of twelve and eleven, the young men finally had learned how to increase their chakra pools as well as begin to have a basic grasp of swordplay and the technical aspect of it, they also worked hard on mastering their basic Ninjutsu and that same year both boys graduated as Genin in the village. At their family graduation ceremony, their father handed the boys actual swords with the kanji's for "Truth" and "Harmony" engraved on the base of the blade. The swords were ancient samurai relics passed down throughout the family, the two boys bickered as brothers would over who would get each sword but it was finally decided that Harmony would go to Umashi and Truth to his brother. With actual swords, their father took them out and gave them each individualized training. Umashi loved the special applications of the weapon, while his brother loved the raw power of the steel. As the boys aged and grew together and finally reached puberty, they began to butt heads more and more over who was a better shinobi, a more attractive man, etc. They fought to the point that their mother didn't even know what to do with them anymore. But the brothers still loved each other very dearly. They continued to mature until they were both fine young men and newly recruited Chunin of the village. With smiles they put on their Chunin vests at the same time and promised that they would always keep each other safe. . . Until that fateful night. . . Umashi had been promoted to Jounin by his superiors for his combat prowess and his recognitions during a skirmish that occurred during an A-Rank mission. On top of that Umashi had always taken a woman that his brother had yearned for since they were teenagers. Deep jealousy filled the younger brother and for months he let it fester inside of him until he could hold it no more. One night on the eve of Umashi's twenty-sixth birthday his brother attempted to assassinate him with his father's blade, a swordfight ensued and during the battle Umashi slayed his brother with a powerful slash across his midriff. As his brother lay on the ground, bleeding into the streets a heavy rain began to fall on the village. The last words the younger brother ever said was. I'm sorry. . . Filled with grief and knowing that he had committed murder, Umashi knew it was no longer safe for him in the village. He approached his father and told him what he had done, the old man grasped him on the shoulder and told him the only thing he could do was leave the village, and learn to forgive himself. That very same night Umashi left the village of Konohagakure under the guise of a mission and never returned. He has been considered a missing-nin for a year now, and he travels the shinobi world with the blade known only as Harmony at his side. Promising that he would perhaps return to the village and live out the dreams that he had made as a child. But for now, life was a grand old adventure and he had much to learn. . . | ooc info ☆ NAME Umashi / Emmett ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS nah ☆ FACE CLAIM ONE PIECE Sir Crocodile, Umashi Hirozen THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Umashi.
