The Red Queen Leaves No Trace |
Suzu flexed her fingers and looked to the road ahead. Her red hair was pulled back in a ponytail today with her headband hanging around her neck. Her eyes were fierce and her attitude was fiercer. She had a grim smile that graced her face. A smile that only meant that she was excited. It had been awhile since she took on a mission. The mission was to hunt down some bandits on the outskirts of the Land of Fire. This couldn't have been too troublesome since they only sent two of them to take on this problem. The mission would give her time to stretch her legs, so to speak. Her jutsu would definitely come in handy and she was mentally prepared to handle whatever they faced. Today she was joined by the next head of her clan. The great Jiyuu Tsubasa even though she didn't necessarily see him as so great. She would gloat, now and then, about her passing the chuunin exams before him. It was just to jerk him around a little bit. She could tell that Ji was something special, but that wasn't due to her having sensory. It was due to their Kekkei Genkai. Even with the clan holding the bloodline limit, Jiyuu was obviously different from the rest of them. She could care less about how much power he possessed. It would just give her an excuse to fight him all out when they sparred. Out of anyone else in the clan, she was glad that both of them were chosen for this mission. Both of them liked to get into trouble and it was the perfect time to cause it. She stopped on the last tree branch that ended at the edge of a small village. It was there they would start. Looking back and yelling behind her, "Ji Ji, hurry up we're burning daylight! You're making Uncle Gouman look bad about how slow you're going!!!" She was too excited for her own good. The sooner they found bandits, the sooner she could burn some energy. The bandits wouldn't know what hit them. She assumed that they would be able to track the bandits once they talked to a couple of villages about how they attack and whatnot. Pillaging was looked down upon in most societies. The Tsubasa's would just have to remind them that the Hidden Leaf and more importantly the Tsubasa Clan wouldn't put up with their gutless antics. If anyone was to cause chaos, it would be the Tsubasa. |
