Every shinobi has the ability to learn and use jutsu. This post will go through all of the rules and guidelines surrounding creating, buying, learning, and using jutsu. Please make sure you read through this entire post before you start work on your custom jutsu.
The costs for the different ranks of jutsu will vary and will be evaluated based on the individual technique, but here is a key that shows the general expected cost for each rank.
E-Rank: You don't need to purchase E-Rank techniques. Most of the canon E-Rank jutsu will be known by all shinobi, and you aren't permitted to make custom E-Rank techniques.
D-Rank: 50-250 Ryo
C-Rank: 150-500 Ryo
B-Rank: 500-2500 Ryo
A-Rank: 2500-5000 Ryo
S-Rank: S-Rank techniques are going to be unique and incredibly powerful when compared to the others. Each technique will be independently evaluated for cost, but will not usually be cheaper than 5000 ryo and will more than likely be close to 10000.
- You may purchase any rank of jutsu, so long as it makes sense for your character. So nothing is off limits, so long as you have the ryo. However, if your character just learned how to control chakra then don't apply for an S-Rank technique because staff will not approve it until it is more reasonable for you to know it.
- You may purchase and use any category or subcategory of jutsu. Everything from ninjutsu to puppetry. Again, keep in mind what would make sense for your character to know and learn and use this as a guide for creating your jutsu. If you just learned how to use genjutsu, do not apply for a high ranked genjutsu technique.
- You can teach your custom jutsu to other members IC. This will allow them to use the technique and you will earn a portion of the ryo for your trouble. If you're learning from someone else you will receive the jutsu for a discounted price, but not for free.
- Canon jutsu will be approved on a case-by-case basis and you are not guaranteed an approval for a technique from the original source material. We will still provide a list of available canon jutsu but don't count on being able to definitely get approved for that A-Rank tech you want just because it is on our list. In this alternate universe some techniques just don't make sense and we will review each application individually for this.
- You do not need a special advanced nature transformation kekkei genkai to used unique/advanced elemental jutsu. For more information regarding this topic please refer to the kekkei genkai guidelines.
- For all you clan owners, you can create hiden or special jutsu that only members of your clan can know. These will not need to be purchased for the clan, but each individual member may have to purchase them. This will be based on their rank or the overall effectiveness of the skill. Staff will evaluate each hiden jutsu and provide guidance on how much it will cost for a clan member to learn the technique.
