In this post you will find all the information you'll need regarding the summoning jutsu (kuchiyose no jutsu) as well as the creatures that are summoned using it and the contracts that bind them. Let's start off with the actual guidelines:
Before you can summon anything, you'll need the summoning jutsu. Here is the application for it:
You will apply for this technique like any other. Once you're approved to use it, you can start to work on your summons.
- Before you can summon anything you will need to purchase Kuchiyose no Jutsu. This technique alone will cost 2500 ryo and will be available to anyone that wants it. It needs to be applied for just like every other jutsu. A completed template for this jutsu will be located at the bottom of this post.
- There are three different kinds of summons that Kuchiyose can do by default. The first is the summoning of an individual creature. This can be completed by making an agreement with the creature in question and then using the jutsu to bring them forward to assist you. The second is the summoning of another person's contracted animal. If someone has agreed to allow you to summon their allies you will be able to call forth any creatures that they have given you "access" to. The third requires the aforementioned contract. If you yourself are a contract holder then you are permitted to summon any creatures that are tied to that contract. Similarly they are able to summon you if they so choose.
- If you are creating a contract with a species then you will be required to apply for that specific contract. The cost of this contract will vary depending on how many creatures it allows you to summon.
- No more than one person can be contracted with a specific species at a time. Keep in mind that there are a variety of different species of animals out there. If someone has a contract with a specific type of snake, that doesn't necessarily mean you can't make a contract with another kind if you want to. You can also be creative, as the species you're tied to does not need to be a real animal.
- As a contract holder, you can choose to allow as many people as you want access to your summons. This will not cost you anything, though that person will also need the Kuchiyose technique and will need to pay a small fee to gain access. A portion of this ryo will be paid to the contract holder.
- If a contract owner dies then the next person to acquire that contract and sign it will become the new contract holder. All individuals who formerly had access to those summons by proxy will lose their ability to summon unless they make an agreement with the new contract holder.
- If your intention is to only summon one creature with the jutsu, that creature will have to be applied for and purchased in the same way as the contract.
- Clans can have access to a contract scroll, allowing all their members to summon anyone from that species so long as they know the summoning jutsu.
