Mission Name: Don't Look Directly at the Sun

Issuing Agency: Kaigangakure
Suggested Shinobi: 2-3 shinobi, tokujo ranking or equivalent.
Location: Village Hidden by the Sun Construction Site - Land of Heat
OOC Information: This is a relatively simple spying mission. Several shinobi from Kaigan will infiltrate the Land of Heat to gather intel on the clans that are working on the new shinobi village, what their progress is like and how many people they've rallied to their cause. There is no reason to engage the locals or be hostile towards them in any way, however if it is necessary that you defend yourself then you can. This is not a relationship building mission but it is possible to damage future relationships by conducting yourself poorly or getting caught investigating something that they think you shouldn't be.
Mission Description: We have received reports that several powerful clans from Netsu no Kuni are planning to create their own shinobi village. It is likely that the process to accomplish this is already underway. We need you to head out into the field and gather intel on each of the clans involved and what the current status of their village is. It would also be helpful to determine the relationship that the village has with the government in that country. Bring back any intel that you think is important and do not reveal yourselves as Kaigan shinobi.
Objective:
- Identify the major players behind the creation of the Village Hidden by the Sun and find out who their current leaders are
- Gather intelligence on the location of the village and how complete it is
- Determine the relationship between the country's government and the leadership of the new shinobi village
This mission will be considered failed if:
- You are revealed as a Kaigangakure spy
- You fail to accomplish the primary objective (listed first under objectives)
- You are killed or do not return to Kaigangakure for whatever reason
