biography Shozo Hazado was born into a loving family in Iwagakure and is the youngest of three brothers. His father was a well respected Jounin and his mother a talented kunoichi in medical jutsu. As such, the upbringing of the three brothers was pleasant one, as they were well taken care of by their family and generally sought to follow in the footsteps of their parents. With his brothers already at the rank of Genin and Chuunin respectfully, Hazado sought to succeed them in order to become the favoured child. As such when Hazado entered the academy, he did everything within his capabilities to challenge himself to be the best. Day and night he trained and his nose was always in the books, which lead to a rather anti-social lifestyle for that period of his life. While he struggled to make friends, he did not struggle to pass his classes. Inevitable progression led him to become a Genin and thus, he felt the sense of achievement he had craved so much in the shadow of his brothers. Initially Hazado was very quiet and reserved, he tried not to speak much as he didn't truly understand the social ettiquite between ninja. Though it was only through his Genin years that Hazado truly changed, as a ninja and as a person. There had been rumours that many merchants along the road were suffering from a disease and dying on their travels and the team were sent to investigate and bring back a potential infected for diagnosis. When the Genin team arrived at the scene of the road, it had turned out to be something much more horrific than any disease. The bodies of the merchants were bloodied, some decapitated and others verging on death. It was the first time Hazado had seen so many dead and it was an image not easily forgotten. Naturally they traced the criminals and a long fight ensued, with Hazado losing an eye early on. The poorly organised assault managed a victory for the shinobi but at the cost of the life of one of Hazado's Genin comrades. From that moment on, he knew he had to strive to be a leader, to protect the lives of those he cherished most in situations such as that. When the Chuunin Exams came, Hazado displayed just that. Authoritive, confident and tactile; the perfect prospect. The tests were passed with ease and when it came to the final one on one fights, Hazado triumphed. While he was reprimanded for trying to kill his opponent with no intent of stopping, he was made a Chuunin purely on his leadership skills and drive that he demonstrated. It was then he was approached by the Tsuchikage, Yasu Miyake. Impressed by his qualities during the exams, she could see that there was potential in the young Shozo that his brothers did not have. She offered to train him privately, in order to maximize this potential, though only if it remained completely unspoken of. Naturally Hazado agreed. Many qualities were learned from the Lady Tsuchikage. It was obvious she was very aware of how to run a village and how to keep it in balance, all the while being a diplomatic figure in times of peril. Hazado studied these traits carefully, though it was clear they both had different definitions of leadership. While the Tsuchikage was in control and built upon restoration, Hazado was more about taking advantage of other villages state and putting Iwagakure first and that the Kage the people see and that the shinobi see should have been two different people entirely. Regardless he was not outspoken and simply took the wisdom for what it was. At the age of twenty-two he was promoted to Jounin and was considered a specialist in shinobi tactics, intelligence and the analysing of war. Hazado had accomplished his mission of outshining his brothers, though he still hungered for more than just acknowledgement. Even as one of the Tsuchikage's favoured Jounin, he wanted to be remembered for something than just a name. Thus, with the permission of the Tsuchikage, he left the village to embark on a journey of knowledge. With him, a pile of scrolls and supplies but Hazado was not to be seen again, except briefly to check in, for another four years. When he returned from his pilgrim as it were, he came back with the knowledge of a powerful kekkei tota. Jinton. The knowledge had been passed to him from the Tsuchikage, as it had been hidden away within the vaults of the village for some time. A long tenure was endured to learn the technique but it gave him the power he so craved. Within a few years of his return, the Tsuchikage passed away. Before her death however, she insisted that Hazado be chosen as her replacement to continue on her restoration of Iwagakure. While Hazado was at first skeptical of acceptance of the position, he accepted it due to the close relationship and admiration he had for her. He continues to oversee the running of Iwagakure in his position as Yondaime Tsuchikage, while always seeking to make them the feared and respected nation of all five. | ooc info ☆ NAME Zuri ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Yato Katsu ☆ FACE CLAIM Sengoku Basara Date Masamune, Shozo Hazado THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Zuri.
