Standing at 5'8'' and weighing 126 lbs, Hara has the physical build of a well-toned woman with moderate curves and fair skin. Her features are soft and petite, giving her some natural cuteness. While the rest of her blonde hair spikes, she keeps two long strands on the sides of her face that entwine below her neck. Her eyes, though rarely seen due to her usual, fox-like expression, are golden with black, slit pupils. She almost always smiles in some way, ranging from warm smiles to eerie smirks and playful grins, even when she’s scared, surprised, bored or sleeping. Other expressions from her are rare, but when the need arises, she can fake anything very believably.

Kin’s outfit rarely changes regardless of whether she’s on duty or not. She usually dons a black, sleeveless jumpsuit that reaches below her knees and has a hood with white eye symbols on the sides. Her forehead protector is always wrapped around her waist like a belt. Below the hips, she has a wide strip of cloth hanging like a tail, with countless hidden and secure pockets that hold her equipment. For personal flair, she has black, dotted tattoos that resemble snakes twisting down her arms and two silver bracelets on her both wrists. Instead of wearing any sort of shoes or socks, she prefers to go barefoot whenever possible.

Hara is a living proof that some people never grow up. This light-hearted trickster absolutely loves playing games, causing chaos and generally poking fun at anything that catches her eye. If things get dull or depressing, she’s the first one to try and stir up something fun. Free-spirited and playful by nature, it’s uncommon for her to take anything or anyone truly seriously. She is friendly, energetic and quite informal around anyone, regardless of rank or affiliation. Only the most universally respected ninja can demand and get more formal and respectful treatment, though even then she prefers to remain laid-back.

However, while she is undeniably carefree and sometimes seems fairly childish, she isn’t naive or slow by any means. Beneath the smiles and laughter, she is an intelligent, devious and resourceful infiltrator who always keeps her eyes and ears open. She enjoys snooping around and gathering information on anything, especially the personal secrets of other people, including her dear comrades. This passion extends to her work as well. When she is given a mission or a job to do, she always gets results, by any means necessary. Large part of the success can be attributed to the simple fact that the Kitsune doesn’t play by the rules.

Her cheating habits are especially prominent in combat. What others call fighting dirty, she calls fighting smart. Low blows, psychological warfare and exhaustion tactics are important parts of her arsenal. She regards honor and fair play as amusing little notions invented by sore losers. Her style, if one could call it that, is all about causing chaos until no one knows what will happen next. However, she deeply dislikes bloodshed and prefers to take her enemies alive if at all possible. It’s like a game to her, seeing how much madness her opponent can handle before surrendering.

On personal level, Hara is rather secretive and doesn’t talk much about her life. She prefers to direct and derail conversations towards other people or the funny stories she knows. When she is pressed to tell about herself, she weaves such intricate and confusing lies that no listener can figure out if she’s being serious or not. These tales change every time she tells them to create further confusion. Only the rare few who have gained her personal admiration or utmost respect can get the devious Kitsune to speak without riddles, though just for a little while at a time.

All in all, Hara Kin is a gleeful agent of chaos.

biography

Born in a rather unremarkable family of farmers, Hara is a black sheep in more ways than one. Kin family is known for being strict and traditional, humorless even, never overstepping their boundaries or striving for too much. However, their young girl proved from very young age to be different. Where her siblings had natural knack for hard work, she was more interested in devising ways to amuse herself. Despite her parent’s scolding, the little girl was always devising a new prank. In a way, she was a dreamer, bored of being a mere farmer kid and trying to reach for the stars.

She also had the one talent no one else in the humble family possessed, the innate potential for chakra control. Her family knew this, but they didn’t want to admit it. Instead, they tried to convince the girl that being a farmer was the right way for her. However, when her potential to become a ninja could no longer be denied or ignored, thanks to ever craftier tricks she kept pulling off, the elders of the family finally agreed to let her join the Ninja Academy. Evil rumors claim the family was glad to get rid of her, but then again, Hara herself was absolutely exhilarated to go to the Academy, so perhaps the truth doesn’t matter.

In the Academy, Hara quickly became known and somewhat disliked as a troublemaker who had traded her common sense for raw talent. More than once she impressed her teachers with her quick learning, only to draw their ire with the next stunt that left the classroom a mess. Many say it’s a small miracle she didn’t get kicked out. However, no one could argue with her grades, as she passed each exam with excellent marks and graduated from the Academy at the top of her class, much to the irritation of her classmates. They couldn’t believe someone like her, a childish joker, could actually amount to anything. As such, the little Kitsune didn’t have very many friends upon becoming a Genin.

The next phase didn’t go quite as smoothly. Every time Hara entered the Chunin Exams, she ended up getting so absorbed on observing other people and messing with them that she never got further than the survival phase due to running out of time. This repeated time and time again, with the rest of her squad managing to move on while she remained behind, sometimes even on purpose. However, that time was far from wasted. From every exam, she gained new skills and techniques, first learning genjutsu to slip past problems, then training rigorously in taijutsu to beat those she couldn’t elude.

After the fifth failed exam, Hara grew bored with the ordeal and decided to just try her hand at regular missions. Over the years, she turned a valuable asset to the village. After she aced some of her low-profile missions, her superiors realized her potential and started giving her bit more demanding missions. Hara embraced the amusing challenge and improved with each mission, getting results well beyond what was expected. Little by little, her superiors let her in on even more demanding cases, bending a rule here and another there to allow her to keep working.

However, during this time, she was also a constant headache to her superiors. On one hand, her skills were invaluable during many missions that would’ve been problematic for anyone else, but on the other hand, each time she caused havoc, they had to come up with an excuse why a lowly Genin was involved in high-ranking matters. Due to Hara’s chaotic nature, that happened quite often and trying to hide the tracks became harder each time. Eventually it just became a commonly known secret among the village’s high-ranking officials that a Genin was working beyond her level.

This little special case continued for nearly ten years, until the few friends Hara had gained managed to pressure her into trying the Chunin Exam once more. Rumors claim that it was the old Hokage who personally convinced her to actually take it seriously this time and she actually took the advice. With years of advantage in experience and abilities, she absolutely crushed the competition. It was also the first and the last time the now famous Kitsune was seen fighting seriously.

Hara barely got to hold her new rank for a week when her superiors called her in again. She was appointed the rank of a Jounin on the basis of an excellent mission record and skill display at the Chunin Exams. This surprised practically no one in the village. With her experience and well-known skills, the promotion was simply a formality at that point. Many even breathed in relief because this made her officially someone else’s problem. And that someone was the Hokage, one of the few people Hara truly respects. If anyone could keep the Kitsune in check, it was the leader of the village. Well, for the most part anyway. At least she now listened to the scolding.

Presently, Hara spends her days gathering intel, carrying out stealth missions when needed and generally driving people up the walls with her antics whenever she has too much free time on her hands. It has been rumored that she will be assigned a team of students to keep her busy. Only time will tell who, if anyone, can put up with the tricks of the Kitsune.
