biography Amaterasu was born an orphan. Her father had died on a mission before she was born and her mother, her birth mother, died before she could give birth to her child. The doctors and nurses, knowing that there was a chance that the child inside of her mother could be saved, performed an emergency delivery and brought Amaterasu into this world by force. She was born a month premature, but she showed no signs of weakness whatsoever. Hanae Tachibana, one of the doctors who had delivered Amaterasu from her deceased mother fell in love with her from the moment she laid eyes on the girl. Hanae was the one who gave her her name, and even adopted her as her own, even though she already had a one year old little girl of her own to look after. The child was a wonder from the very moment that she was born. She had bright, sea foam green hair and beautiful amber eyes. She was very bright and full of life, and even as she grew into a toddler she was curious and playful. She and her sister, Mei, were incredibly close as little girls, as there was only about a year between them in age. Ama, however, was never so focused on logic or what was going on the world. She was more likely to daydream and lose herself in fantasy than worry about things or strive to do hard and efficient work. When doing chores, she was often the one to laze around and let her big sister do all the work. She'd nap in the sun, or just stare up at the sky whenever she pleased. She grew quickly, and at the age of nine, she entered the academy with her older sister, Mei. Though she was a year younger than her sibling, their mother thought it was the perfect time for Amaterasu to enter the academy as well. She had hopped for Amaterasu to follow in her footsteps as well, but Ama wasn't as motivated as the other students in her class. While she enjoyed the work and having something to do during the long days, it was hard for her to grasp many of the concepts that she was learning. It took her training privately with her sister on multiple occasions for her to actually make any progress with her studies. Though, it can be said that much of her time was spent day dreaming during class, so the main cause of her falling behind in school was because she wasn't paying the teacher much mind. After multitudes of missions and Ama's complete failure at most of them, the chuunin exams finally came around. The only reason that Amaterasu had gotten this far was because of her sister, so, in an effort not to let her sibling down, she entered the chuunin exams, making their team complete. In the final rounds, Ama was beaten in her first match, only 30 seconds into the match. Needless to say, she failed her first time in the exams. She failed the next exam as well as the exam after that, never seeming to advance her skills much further than the years previous. On her fourth try at the chuunin exams, she passed, but just barely. By this time she was about fourteen years old. Disappointed in herself for her lack of improvement, Amaterasu was ready to give up life as a shinobi. She really didn't know if it was going to be worth the trouble and heartbreak that came with trying to improve herself and failing each time. That was when she met Gorou, the man who would become her master and her teacher. Gorou was a simple man. He was older and he'd never had any kids of his own. His lover had died during childbirth, and his own daughter hadn't lived through the night. He was a retired Kumogakure ninja who'd taken to traveling as his form of entertainment. He enjoyed seeing the world, traveling to this land and that, though he usually stuck to the minor countries, knowing that it wasn't the best idea to enter into another major country without permission. He ran into Amaterasu on the streets of Kumogakure, quite literally, to be honest. He apologized by buying her a ramen lunch and he got to know the young chuunin. It was decided then that he would take her on as his student. After speaking with Amaterasu's mother, the man obtained her permission, and much to the excitement of Amaterasu, the two set out on their journey. Over the first few years, Gorou trained Amaterasu relentlessly, training her body and soul using different methods. Meditation, hand to hand combat, bukijutsu training, genjutsu training, ninjutsu training. Everything that Gorou could possibly think of, he put her through training. Only when he thought that she was ready did he reveal that he was a Sage and explained to her what senjutsu was. However, he refused to train her in the arts, insisting that she needed quite a bit more training before she took up senjutsu as a skill. Accepting the fact, she worked harder and harder than before, powering through each training session with a newfound determination that she'd never had before. She was finally understanding things, and it was around this time that Gorou realized that she was only able to learn from a teacher. A kinesthetic learner. Her lack of improvement wasn't because she wasn't skilled, but simply because she could only learn by doing and by being physically taught everything that she knew. When Amaterasu turned sixteen, she learned that her mother had died on a mission. She was crushed by this fact, but that didn't stop her from training her hardest to improve herself. She started to take after her mother, training with a few medic ninja that she could find on their travels. She learned the basics as best as she could, working her hardest to follow in her mothers medical ninja footsteps. It was around this same time that she discovered her kekkei genkai. Wood release. Training with both that and her medical ninjutsu, Amaterasu started to shape up to be a great and formidable ninja. A few more extensive years of training brought her to the age of twenty-one. It was at this point in her life that she met Ares, her best friend. The little baby ram was in the same family as a few other, much older rams. The eldest of this flock was cruel, a little insane, and was constantly beating Ares and the rest of the flock up up. Amaterasu visited the flock every day that they were camped out on the plateaus, watching the way that they interacted with each other. One day, in a fit of rage, the eldest ram started to really beat on Ares. Flying into her own fit of rage, Amaterasu fought and killed the very large ram, taking his skull as her trophy. She now wears it upon her head as a kind of helmet and as a show for the lengths that she will go to to protect someone in need. Fearing that Ares would have to endure even more torture from his flock mates, Amaterasu plucked him up from their midst and left with him and Gorou. Gorou only stated that she had a kind heart and that killing the old ram for the sake of the others was one of the kindest things that could have been done for the entire flock to live in peace again. When one of the bunch grew to be out of hand, it was best to put it down before things got worse and everything was thrown into disrepair. Four more years of traveling with Gorou only made her stronger and more skilled. She trained with Ares, helping him to become a formidable combat pet. Finally, Gorou decided that it was finally time for them to return to the village. He was growing even older, and was starting to suffer from old injuries and wanted to be home for the rest of her life. Happy that she'd gotten to spend so much time training with her beloved master, she accepted the fact that it was time for them to return to Kumogakure. Excited to see her sister, she was met with the surprise of an instant promotion to tokubetsu jounin as soon as she arrived to the village. She was also put in charge of a genin team, though she was unsure if she was really ready for the burden. However, with as much as Gorou had taught Amaterasu over the years, she wasn't going to let her students fail. | ooc info ☆ NAME Dee ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Demiyah Akiyama Ryuunosuke Suoh Ronin ☆ FACE CLAIM BLEACH Neliel Tu Oderschvank, AMATERASU TACHIBANA THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO DEE.
