A thick sheet of black clouds blanketed the sky as it cried cold tears of rain. A strong wind shifted the falling rain diagonally. The leaves on the trees rustled in the wind. Kazu was soaking wet from the rain. Pellets struck his kage's hat, breaking off into smaller droplets before they could hit the ground. The wind would grab the white cloak Kazu wore with the blue kanji written downwards on the back, reading "Godaime Mizukage", brushing it upwards and to his left.
The rain fell to the ground hard. The sound of the rain drowned out most of everything else, making it difficult for Kazu and his ANBU escort, Seiren, to have a proper conversation. Kazu pressed on forwards, walking at a casual pace through the rain. He didn't mind it, honestly. Kazu quite enjoyed the rain. Even if it meant he couldn't have a proper conversation. Kazu glanced back at Seiren, who was walking only a few paces behind him.
"How's it going back there?!" Kazu shouted over the sound of the terribly loud wind and rain. "Maybe we should hurry up! I don't want to be late! That damned Raikage wouldn't let me hear the end of it if I were! Let's go! Try to keep up!"
Kazu shot off like a bolt of lightning, headed straight for the trees. Perhaps if he ran through the trees, he could avoid some of the wind, and even some of the rain. Plus, running through the trees always made Kazu feel like he was on top of the world.
