The sun had started to burn the cloud over the skies of Iwagakure. Beams of light peered through the dulcet grey, the ever so gentle wavering of blue managing to show itself for the first time in the day. It was early morning and the majority of the civilians in the village would be resting in their humble abode's, before starting their work for the day ahead. Today had been much anticipated by Hazado. It was the Kage Summit, where the leaders of the five nations would come together on a tense day of diplomatic discussion and reasoning. That was just a modest pretence. Not that he was one to prejudge but from what he had heard of the other leaders, none of them were even near his age. They were all young, perhaps even naive in their leadership. The young shinobi were often overconfident and brash, their lack of experience often overcompensating for their need of dominance. No such thing would happen so long as he was there. Though it would have been regrettable if this was like looking after bickering academy students.
Silver eyes beamed from the window of the Tsuchikage office. Leaving the village behind churned his stomach. There was a part of him that just didn't trust it could be run efficiently without him. With recent events and the death of a few shinobi within his own village, it was upsetting to have to go and even more so that he could not protect the fallen. His lips pursed and popped as he let a cloud of smoke out from beneath his pipe, turned to face the councilman and woman whom he had brought to his office.
"Be sure you keep this place running smoothly."Hazado noted, "Continue the ANBU patrols and watches. You are in no way to allow any missions to be engaged involving the lands of the other nations and setting foot near Amegakure is absolutely out of the question. Clear?" They both nodded in agreement. The Tsuchikage could be a firm man when he had to, despite his rather silly mannerisms and joking persona at times. Without a moments notice the two had left him and Hazado had started to prepare himself for the journey. His armour was put on first, followed by the iron helmet with his famous yellow crescent adorning its front, his Tsuchikage hat attached onto his back.
It was only then did he make for the gate. Upon his walk, many had paid their respects to him as he left the village, some wishing good luck and other shinobi simply showing face. After all, anything could have happened. While the summit was merely for talks, there were always ones who wanted to ruffle a few feathers.
The Jounin had been gathered at the gate, some had heard that there was already a chosen and others were still in wonder. An escort was necessary, it acted as a deterrent for the rest of the Kage whom had also brought theirs. Politics was so boring. If he could manage to stay awake during the entire thing, he'd definitely consider that an achievement in itself. He wasn't there to win the hearts of anyone, though he did plan on bringing up many subjects that simply had to be discussed whether they liked it or not.
"Suoh, Ryuujin." Hazado called, the other Jounin looking around, some of them clearly disappointed they didn't make the cut. "The rest of you, dismissed. I shall return shortly." Without a second thought, Hazado had turned and boosted off into the rocky wilderness outside the village, swiftly making his way towards Amegakure. The excitement was now gripping.
"Let's go, last one there is a rotten egg, eh?"
