Name: Chiyo
Species: Hummingbird
Rank: B-Rank
Description: Chiyo is one of the many hummingbirds that frequented Keiko's flower shop as a child. But unlike the other hummingbirds, she sensed a great deal of chakra radiating from Chiyo and was able to domesticate the small bird, training her to be a combat pet. Chiyo is a feisty little thing; fiercely protective of her owner despite her size, Chiyo has the personality of an incredibly animated and stubborn child. When the hummingbird isn't flying around in search of food, she's generally perched on Keiko's shoulder or head. And Keiko is careful to always keep a small vial of nectar around to prevent her small companion from starving.
Techniques:
- Sticky Nectar: Chiyo spews a stream of nectar from her bill that coats the ground in a small puddle of sticky nectar. This serves to slow down an opponent, and the nectar can even be shot out in a stream directly at someone. However, due to the hummingbird's small size she doesn't hold a ton of nectar, and can only perform this technique once a day. This empties the hummingbird's stomach, putting her at risk of starvation, which is why Keiko always has nectar on hand. Though she prefers that the hummingbird never use the technique, Chiyo has been known to use it of her own volition to protect her master.
- Illusory Humming: The humming sound produced by Chiyo's wings is amplified, disorienting those within a short radius and causing them to hear nothing but humming as the sound progressive slows, causing the world around them to move in slow motion so long as Chiyo remains in the short-range.
- A Dusting of Pollen: Chiyo flies above the victim's head, shaking the pollen off her wings, causing the person to start sneezing and coughing uncontrollably. Their eyes will also start to water as the pollen assaults their senses, much like an allergic reaction. The effect starts to fade after five minutes, and is completely gone after twenty minutes.
