GIVE ME MILES AND MILES OF MOUNTAINS AND I'LL ASK FOR THE SEA ❝ Fumiko felt bad for running off while Junichi, one of Umashi's bear summons, investigated a rustling bush in the forest on the outskirts of Kumogakure. But she'd grown bored with watching Hajime and Shi sleep, and the forest was nothing but trees for miles on end. It was horribly boring in comparison to the adventure she was having now as she walked through the streets of Kumogakure. The village had been built amongst the mountains, with the Raikage's residence nested in the tallest mountain in the village. Even from her spot on the flat ground she could make out the large blue building through the clouds. It was the only thing she could find, unfortunately. The further she wandered in, the more lost she became. The mountain range within the village was nothing more than a maze to an outsider like her. Perhaps she'd spent enough time outdoors. Finding the nearest building, Fumiko slipped inside, unaware that she'd just entered the Kumogakure prison through a side door that had been carelessly left ajar. There wasn't a soul in sight, but she wasn't naive enough to think that meant the building was empty. Especially with all the traces of chakra she could sense around the building. Walking up a metal staircase she made sure to steer clear of hallways with the heaviest amount of traffic. This clearly wasn't a building just anyone was allowed inside, but that made it all the more thrilling! She'd left Iwagakure wanting to see the world, and she intended to see more than just trees. The good, the bad, and the ugly. She'd look upon all of it with unbiased, inquisitive eyes. "High security?" she read the engraving above a door aloud, and with every bit of intrigue and fearlessness she always acted upon, she pushed the metal door open. It creaked as it swung closed behind her, slamming in the door jam and echoing throughout the cold, cement walls of the building. "...Black?" her eyes went wide as she stared into a cell in front of her. On the bars were slips of paper sealing a man inside, but that wasn't what alarmed her. It was his unusually colored chakra that burned black. ooc: This is so bad, I'm sorry. .-. tags: Tatsu MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

In a cell, time can lose its meaning. By now, Tatsu could not begin to know what day of the week it was, nor what the hour could possibly be. Without a window or a decent conversation that went beyond accusing glares and unintelligent grunts, he couldn't even know what month it was right now. Though, he had some kind of idea. Sitting a cell with nothing else to pass the time with but count the cracks in the wall or talk circles around himself gave him little else to do but keep a loose track. Occasionally one of his better babysitters would cave under his relentless questioning to tell him whether it was raining or not, but otherwise, silence was his punishment and his companion. How long had he been in prison? Had to be more than six months by now. By the way things went down after being caught, he supposed he should have been lucky that the Raikage didn't just gut him right then and there. As far as he was concerned, he got off easy. And despite his situation he didn't complain once. He got caught and that was that, and all he could really say was that it was fun while it lasted. If anything, he just wished the company was better. Today, a tune was stuck in his head. It wasn't anything spectacular or readily familiar to anyone but himself, but he felt inclined to hum it to the silence of his cell. His brass tone echoed back to himself, and he would chuckle back before repeating it again on a continuous loop. The fact that he hadn't gone completely mental by now must be some sort of feat. His psychiatrist had said he was doing well for someone in his position. A little too well, and Tatsu would just grin as he always would, maybe complain about the lack of a window. A loud slam of metal on metal disrupted his humming, sending him into an almost startled silence. Curious, he thought, tilting his head in the direction of the door to his cell. Tatsu never got visitors. After his parents had all but wrote him off their lives, and his friends threw away their friendship, the only people that ever walked into his cell were few indeed. It wasn't time to eat. His psychiatrist came and went hours ago. So who was it that decided to throw a twist in his boring daily routine? The synthetic wiring that kept his arms bound to the wall behind him clinked and sprang where he moved, his long unkempt hair falling into his eyes, but his candy amber irises could see well enough. Binding him with anything metallic couldn't be trusted given his special abilities. The wires weren't as comfortable as iron would have been. Then again, Tatsu didn't think the Raikage had comfort on the mind when she threw him in here. His unexpected visitor came into view with little curiosity glinting in her eyes, not much reaction other than a whisper than sounded too loud in the quiet. "Well," he started, lips curling into a smile that reached into his eyes. "Either Raikage has cut back in my security, or I'm in for a treat. Are you lost, princess?"

GIVE ME MILES AND MILES OF MOUNTAINS AND I'LL ASK FOR THE SEA ❝ Humming? The blonde lifted a brow ever so slightly at the playful tune that betrayed the assumptions she'd made based on his black chara. Pulling her gaze away from him momentarily, she took in her surroundings. The room was dark, cool and gray. The lack of windows made her feel trapped and small. She wanted to run back outside where she could see that beautiful blue sky. It was a wonder how she could even find such a dark chakra in the darkness. But even the darkness, it seemed, could glow in the night. Something about that was comforting, and she brought her attention back to the man behind the bars. "No," she answered in a hushed whisper, taking a few steps closer. He wasn't very tall when compared to Umashi, but even seated she could tell he'd tower over her small frame. Long black hair to match his chakra, and an all too happy smirk that said he was thrilled to see her. Curious. He seemed far too... childish? Mm, even that wasn't quite the right word. But regardless, she didn't feel as though she was in danger being in such close proximity to the chained man. "Are you stuck?" she asked, pitying the man who reminded her so much of her time in Iwagakure. Only she'd at least had the luxury of seeing the sun. Her fingers gently reached up to smooth over the seals on his iron prison. But she made no motion to remove them. "Hey!" the harsh, angry yell of a man startled her. Though her eyes abruptly widening was the only sign she'd even been phased. Keeping her fingers flat on the seal, she turned to meet the gaze of a guard. He remained firm with her as two men followed in behind him. One of which appeared to be someone of a higher rank. At least, that's what his scars and chakra told her. "Hello, darlin'" he said, softening as he studied her. He clearly didn't perceive her as a threat, though a lifted brow revealed how perplexed he was at the discovery of a child. The older man took slow, tentative steps towards her. As if moving closer towards a frightened kitten. And then, quite suddenly - rip - his eyes widened, and he drew a kunai. Charging towards her with the intent to kill her before she could remove the second seal. But it was already far too late. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

If Tatsu wasn't in such a, well, restricted position, he would be squirming with how incredibly adorable her quiet and utterly honest answer was. Just a small little 'no' that he might have missed entirely if there was any other noise to compete against her petite tone. Who was this little angel obviously sent from the heavens to at least entertain him if nothing else? Her presence felt so randomized, yet so perfect. If she was planning to be a regular visitor, he most certainly would not object. But visiting was not on the menu today, for her curious fingers brushed over the tags marking his seals, and Tatsu could all but feel the shiver of sudden anticipation rake down his spine. He tilted his head, his smile broadening, a light gathering in his irises as he took in this small growing revelation of just who this girl was about to become for him. His savior-- rescuer-- answered prayer from the gods-- was he really going to get out today? Right now? Just like that? It wasn't even his birthday! The abrupt and sharply toned "Hey," broke whatever fantastical fantasy this was about to become and the corners of his smile drooped ever so slightly. There came a moment's hesitation in which his guards filed into the room one by one, and his guest's fingers hooked under the first tag. Then there was a rip. A long satisfying rip that fell into a second. The seals broke, and chakra, black as night, flooded the room in a torrent. The shinobi guard who dared to draw a weapon on the girl found the kunai torn from his fingers and reversed to his own throat before he could take another step further. The two behind him, lackeys at best, collided into one another by a force of a nature that caught itself up in their forehead protectors. The metal in those plates made it easy for the Jiton user to drag their noggins together with enough startling force to knock them to the floor in a groaning mess. As for the shinobi with an unfortunate seemingly possessed blade pressed against his adam's apple, he remained stopped where he stood for fear of death if he should do anything else. The poor lout knew what was happening, because this was exactly what the Raikage had warned them about. Don't enter the cell with weapons, and do not release those chakra seals. Quite frankly, no one should have entered the cell at all; save for his psychiatrist. With his chakra back as his own, Tatsu closed his eyes and relished in the reunion, enjoying the way it filled his entire being as it should. His Jiton abilities put a vibration to the room, rattling the bars to his cell, his trademarked Magnetic Field the cause for all the metal suddenly taking a life of its own. While one kunai kept the remaining conscious guard on his toes, a second slipped out of his pocket, hovered for a second, before striking off at throwing speed to cut through Tatsu's binds, freeing his arms from their prison with easy snaps. "Ah yeah," he groaned, his arms falling to his sides as he rolled his shoulders. Tatsu could feel his joints popping as he rose, the tattoos decorating the right most side of his bare torso twisting and dancing with his movements. "Feels good," he sang. Feels amazing, downright dirty-- oh to move again-- "Y-You!" The shinobi guard found his voice, his panicked gaze snapping from the young woman at the cell bars, to the prisoner quite on his way to escaping. "S-stay where you are! By the order of the Raika--" His words stopped, the kunai point digging into his throat pressing harder for silence. Good thing he was smart enough to obey the slight, otherwise he'd be a choking on his own blood by now. Tatsu moved his way forward, nothing but a few cylinder bars blocking his path to complete freedom. "My, so it is a treat," the infamous Kumogakure shinobi had eyes only for his savior, to which he beamed at, easily using his manipulation abilities within his ranged field to bend the bars enough to allow him to slip free. To think, all it took to get him free was a simple lift of a few chakra seals. Yet no one dreamed anyone would ever want to free him. Yet here they are. Now standing before the girl-- such a strange, curious, delightful girl-- I want to keep her-- he judged her again in this new light, face to face, with no barrier between them. "You are something special, aren't you, princess?" He grinned wider, and threw an arm out in a flourish, bowing low, his dark hair slipping over one shoulder in the gesture. "For my freedom, I, Tatsu, owe you my life. What say you and I get out of this musky old dungeon, aye?"He held a hand out to Fumiko, his amber irises bright and thankful, smile curving into his eyes. Perhaps she would never know what she had just released, but, then again, Tatsu would never quite know just who released him either. Fumiko | A super long reply for a super awesome escape! Hope I did okay. His abilities are hard to write out without sounding overpowered~ MARI @ GS!
