appearance

most people have never seen izaya's face, as it is always hidden behind a white mask with red designs which make it seem like a fox's face front he ears, down to the slim eyes and then the smile. izaya has jet black, neck length hair, which comes down into his face in multiple bangs, obscure his eyes, most of the time. he has red eyes, a resultant of his kekkei genkai, and a jagged chin.

he stands at 5' 11", which is not particularly tall. his body is slender and slim, weighing on 131 lbs, in spite of his great physical capabilities. to most he would seem like a simple average teenager if it wasn't for his katana at his side and mask on his face.

he's typically seen donned in a black kimono, with red linings at the edge, then around his waist her wears a yellow belt tied to the side. over his shoulders he wears a purple robe with flower and other designs. lastly, he wears a pair of socks and simple pair of sandals. he's always seen with his katana, ichimon, which is held to him by his yellow belt.

personality

Izaya though is in truth and fact a kind and jovial man. He speaks with a air of charisma which makes most people drawn to him for his kind and elegant tone. even though most people can't see his face, they can tell by his voice and body stature that he's smiling and being polite even when saying something serious. he is very blunt though. he never says something he doesn't mean, and as the saying that people hate hearing the truth goes, most people would take offense to his honesty.

while his jovial nature may most times suggest otherwise, izaya is a extremely intelligent individual. he had graduated the ninja academy top of his class, and in fact with one of the best grades in the academies history. he has a very analytic and thoughtful approach to things, always considering the negatives and positives of a situation even if that situation may not demand it—such as a simple visit to a restaurant. in spite of his great consideration over situation though, he tends to ignore his warnings anyway as above all els,e he enjoys nothing more than the thrills of life. he can try something for the very first time and excel at it in little time, and his strategy skills are superb.

izaya is quite cold and heartless when need be though. one can tell by the the way which he constantly brings up grotesque subjects in even the lightest of conversations, which usually puts off others. he has no qualms to killing in cold blood, doing such with his usual smile and without a hint of hesitation. that doesn't mean that he necessarily enjoys it even though he may talk life if he did. he has literary no fears, why he is so easily cold.

besides his cold hearted ways, izaya has many habits, good and bad. the first would be his consistent need to be challenged, whether that is in combat, or even in simple matters such as eating. he also has a rather perverted mindset, which tends to cause him to touch people without their permission, regardless of that person's position, gender, age, etc.
