424 | Mountains arched high around Hitomi, their great masses jutting into the sky as they bordered the Valley of Clouds. It was easy to get lost in the valley if you didn’t know where you were going. Littered with pools of water and covered in a constant haze of fog and cloud, travelers needed to be wary of where they were going when passing through. Some underestimated the great valley located near Kumogakure, claiming that it wasn’t deadly, not like the deserts of the Wind Country, they'd state. But they were wrong, so wrong.
Hitomi knew of the dangers the Valley of Clouds held and she respected the land greatly. As a child just learning how to fly in her bird form she would get lost in the mist, spending nights alone in the great forest till someone from her clan found her or she found her way back to the village. In a way, that was one of the first trainings Hitomi received when she was younger and the lessons learned then had stayed with her, ingrained into her mind.
Now that she was older, however, going out into the Valley of Clouds for a few days alone had become mandatory training from her father. No longer was she lost in the haze when she traveled, living off her supplies and checking out the borders of Kumogakure’s rule. Hitomi would gather as much information as she could, report back how many travelers where using the roads, count how many bodies she found if she found any at all, and, of course, turn in a list of every bird she encountered.
Tracking the bird population around Kumogakure fell to all in the Hane clan but the responsibility was even more important to the ruling family. If they lost their birds then they would lose their very nature, the very thing that made a Hane a Hane. Illegal poaching of Hane birds was not allowed (at least not on the clan’s watch) and if one species started to show signs of distress then they would take it in and protect it, letting it grow to a stable number.
Counting the birds was the Kumo genin’s favorite part of the training.
Smiling, Hitomi leaned back against the tree she was perched in, her legs swinging free below her. Sitting in the branches of the tree Hitomi had a good view of the path in front of her, waiting patiently for her mini break to be over. After this she would head further into the valley, but for now she enjoyed the rest.
((I hope this works for you!))

Sand punched into his face, heat burning down on him, and it was difficult to move in the whirlwind of more sand. His hues blinked twice with defining squint. Trying to lessen the amount of blows, edging him into small amount of turmoil. Why did he even come on this journey? This was special event in the end. Something even the Kazekage denied he would find loophole in, probably being one of her most loyal followers, but this was that goal he needed to get complete for his mother. As child he always did ponder why she never confessed anything beside few small words, though one time on his never stopping whys, ended up getting him somewhere. She told him of special location, with a special surprise, something he should reflect being apart of. Never did he understand until he was later a Genin, she was probably hinting toward group, family that he never got to meet. Knowing every single relative was something he wanted in the end, they were blood. Least wanting to meet them, always questioning why his mother left if his reasoning was correct. Where they horrible people, did his mother originate from a gang?
Everyone was equal through his vision, giving these people chance to see how they truly were was something he would do before labeling them. That didn't mean he wouldn't prepare if something went wrong. This was far from home in the end, respecting the lack of sand for a second, but now peaking mountain scanned the entire area. Was he lost, he didn't even know anymore, being completely unfamiliar with this area. Trickling of water came into his ear, the same river he only five minutes ago. Raising his foot to kick rock, that's when his vision showed someone staring at him. Not that he wanted to annoy this stranger or admit to being completely loss, he had too. Probably already seeing him from the clear path, even still loss. Most of all she was shinobi to this place, or he, unable to make it out instantly from the mask. Either way he came approaching with sucking in gulp. "Do you travel here often? I need help with directions. I'm looking for something or someone, I still don't really know." flashing cheeky smile with his hand now rubbing the back of his head, still himself trying to find out what he wanted, not knowing she was what he wanted.

411 | Her thoughts were so close to thinking about the birds, thinking about the population and different species, that Hitomi nearly missed the figure approaching her until he was halfway down the path. She knew he wasn’t from Kumo from his clothing and it pushed her to analyze him, her body leaning forward away from the tree trunk as she watched him. He was slender and well build, a stock of brown hair mussed up on his head, and he was easily a shinobi, that Hitomi could tell. What she couldn’t see, not yet anyhow, was what village he served as his forehead protector was concealed from Hitomi’s gaze. But he didn’t seem threatening, or rather, there was nothing about the stranger that made Hitomi uneasy. Truth be told, he appeared frazzled in the maze of fog and mist that nestled at the base of the valley. She watched him intensely from her perch in the tree, shifting her body so she was squatting in the branches instead of sitting down. He may appear friendly, but that didn’t mean Hitomi should let her guard down. No good shinobi ever did. "Do you travel here often? I need help with directions. I'm looking for something or someone, I still don't really know."So she’d been correct then, the stranger really wasn’t from Kumo.Smiling down at him, Hitomi jumped from the tree branch, landing on the ground with a soft thud. He seemed a bit sheepish about asking for directions, making her feel even more at ease with the other ninja. “I’m from here,” she answered him, taking another step forward. “Are you trying to find the main village? It’s not too far from here, probably about an hour to hike out of the valley.”Then, realizing he’d said more than just being lost, Hitomi tilted her head to the side, musing over what he said. The foreign shinobi seemed more than physically lost, especially since he didn’t know what or who he was exactly looking for. Was he on a mission? Probably not, not if he didn’t know the objective, Hitomi thought to herself, leaving the only other option as a personal reason. And while Hitomi didn’t want to pry into the boy’s personal life, she didn’t want him stranded in the valley either, not when she had the ability to help him. “Who or what are you looking for exactly? Perhaps I can help you out. It’s quite easy to get lost in here.”((Oh, don't worry about that! It's the words that matter, not the template )) |

Who was this woman exactly, mystifying over his mind over the few seconds of studying her posture, and looks. Naturally his second nature awareness kicked in, all because of her mask, sending him into defensive mindset. His luck was worst of them all and it seemed true, he ran into Anbu member of this village. Or least someone highly skilled from the looks of its, but then again she wasn't looking at him, far from it. Whatever trance she was in, only seemed in his benefit. Keita would of marched right there and then, but something about her captivated him. Believing his gut to be correct in most situations, before he knew it words flowed out of his mouth automatically. Even though he asked, within the spilt second his heart skipped a beat still, his muscles contracting in his throat, not even knowing what to say or do. Death was odd thing to think about and certainly he couldn't take her on.
“Are you trying to find the main village?"
Without notice she descended down from her perch, landing on the ground in front of him. Fastening backward in a fail like manner as he tried to push himself back in time. It took him second to speak, "I'm her on unofficial business, nothing associated with Kaminari no Kuni." he tried locking his gaze with her in stern manner. To show some strength instead of looking like a coward in front of her, he was looking for his family to protect them ultimately. "Eye's are the true way to see into someone else soul." his mother always told him, he couldn't see them at all. Still for that fact he ended up coughing everything basic of him, "Chunin of Sunagakure no Sato, Renta, Keita. May I ask who you are yourself?" he was quite fond of honorable introducing himself in formal manners, trying to let everyone see him in the highest expectations.
“Who or what are you looking for exactly? Perhaps I can help you out. It’s quite easy to get lost in here.”
Everything his instincts declared were wrong, taking note to not trust his gut in every situation. She actually was going to help him, someone she didn't know and probably figuring he wasn't from this village. Plus her voice was far from any state of anger, actually having sweet swirl coming off of it. "Don't laugh at me okay, promise?" even to a enemy he kept his word, so when he heard her promise, he was going to hold her to it (if she did). "I'm chasing after someone who has the ability to control animals, guardians of the forest. Able to speak with birds, ride lions. They're sort of my childhood hero and when I do find them, I'll pledge my loyalty in protecting every member from harm." stating with quirky curve of his lips, waiting to see if she had any idea, of course his story had little exaggeration.

477 | Hitomi’s posture relaxed as she stared at the stranger. She could feel no ill intentsions on the other shinobi and he did, truly, seemed lost in the valley, which made Hitomi’s empathetic heart bleed out for him. She’d been lost before in foreign lands, though she usually had her team or family with her while this lone soul seemed to be travelling on his own. Hitomi smiled again as a genuine desire to help the stranger flooded her systems. She couldn’t pinpoint the reasons why, but she really wanted to help him, to assist the boy in finding whatever his heart was looking for as best she could. Needless to say, Hitomi would be in for a shock when he would finally reveal that objective.
When his stern gaze fell to Hitomi, her smile faltered. Perhaps she had been wrong about her intial judgment of the boy? Behind her mask, the girl’s eyes fell to the side and she was quite thankful that he couldn’t see her wayward eyes. Hadn’t her father said to always meet someone with a firm look? Eyes were important to the Hane.
“Hane, Hitomi,” she finally replied, looking back up at him. “Genin of Kumogakure no Sato.” And from just that brief of an exchange, Hitomi learned more about the stranger, Keita, than she had known only seconds ago. That he ranked higher than her; he came from the land of sand; and he should be treated with all respect Hitomi could muster- not, of course, that she would have treated him any differently had he been a different rank or from a different village. But these things were good to know. She would probably have to report his travels in her mission when she did get back and, if it went well, who knows, it could boost Kumogakure’s and Sunagakure’s relationship.
So when Keita spoke next, Hitomi found her smile once again returning. That intense gaze was gone and replaced by more casual words. “I promise,” she nodded, all of her attention turned to the Suna chunin. Not even the birds could distract Hitomi now.
After Keita finished, the girl was true to her vow- she did not laugh. Instead, Hitomi looked astonished, almost stunned by what he had said. “I-I,” she stuttered, shaking her head as she pulled herself together. “I know of no clan or person that can do all of that in Kumogakure, but there is such a clan who can speak to birds, who can transform into them and are bound to them.”
Suddenly very sheepish, it was now Hitomi’s turn to feel slightly embarrassed. She didn’t think Keita would be the type to joke her around and he had said he wanted to…wanted to pledge his loyalty to them. “If it is that clan you are looking for, Keita-sama, then that Clan would be the Hane clan.” Hitomi paused. “My clan.”
