I almost chuckled at the guard. He was assigned to guard the building and escort us to the designated room upon arrival, yet there he was lost with no idea of where he was or where he was going. Where there was a wall, I saw a hallway.. where there was a hallway, they saw a wall. I pondered upon how could that be as we progressed, but it all was clear after the Kazekage cancelled the genjutsu placed upon the building. Genjutsu was child’s play to me; comparable to a fly, illusions had little to no effect against one with the same blood as me.
We proceeded, and entered the meeting room. Already inside was the Hokage and his escort. One step, and then another.. and then like she was using some kind of space-time ninjutsu, The Kazekage seemingly disappeared from her position at a moment’s notice, reappearing in front of the leaf ninja. The words she spoke were unknown to me, but I could clearly hear the Jounin’s responses. I cared little for the idle chat, and was about to focus my attention toward the Hokage before the one known as Hara smiled in an almost sinister way. It only lasted a split-second, and further inspection would reveal a more playful smile. I smiled myself.. perhaps there would be some fun in the near future.
A number of scenarios played out in my head, interrupted by the arrival of the Tsuchikage and the Ame mediator. It seemed the Mizukage would be late, but they would begin without him. I made my way toward Demiyah, taking up position a little behind her to the right (few feet). Close enough to protect her if need be, but at a distance great enough where I could see the majority of the room. I was simply a spectator at this meeting, and would play my part.

i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY Demiyah settled back into her seat, watching the room with her one good eye. There was no point in hiding the fact that she was blind on her left side. It was her ability to fight and remain alert even without the use of a second eye that made her truly fearsome to most. She was mildly annoyed that she'd been seated next to someone on her left, but the Tsuchikage seemed content to come into the room and doze off, only giving a small hello before he sunk into his seat. She wouldn't have to worry about him, at least. In fact, Demiyah was quite sure that she didn't have to worry about any of the other Kage. There was only one thing really worrying her with the chuunin exams looming so close. Him. Kazama.
Sitting up straight, Demiyah cupped her hands in front of her on the table, her shoulders rolling back as she sat properly. Her gaze drifted around the room slowly, an eyebrow lifted when the Hokage spoke. She only glanced slightly in his direction, not turning her head for fear of losing sight of the room and the Tsuchikage next to her. Her first thought was that this man was full of hot air. No Kage would be so apt to let his own shinobi play tricks without consequence. Her second thought was about how young he looked. Demiyah wasn't exactly old, but she was sure she was one of the younger Kage in the group. Suddenly, she couldn't blame him for being so defensive about his ninja. After all, it wasn't but four years ago that she had been put in the same position. Just barely twenty then, she'd had to start shouldering the burden of the village at a rather young age.
Turning her head a little to face the Hokage, she gave a small smile in greeting. "Then I'll have to take your word for it, shan't I? After all, doubting you, Lord Hokage, wouldn't be a very great start to our first meeting, especially with us being allies," she said, her tone calm, collected after her small and rather open outburst with Hara. Demiyah was all but ignoring the woman at this point, not giving her the benefit of becoming angry or frustrated with her. There were bigger things to be discussed, and as far as Hara was concerned, she didn't exist.
The Kazekage let out a breath of relief when the mediator said that they would begin the meeting. Demiyah wished to speak first, if only to get it out of the way and to make sure that all the other Kage remained on their guard when traveling back to their homes when the Summit reached its completion. Raising her hand slowly toward the mediator, "Takuro Nakagawa, if I may, there is something that I would like to bring up first and foremost," she said lightly, swallowing a little bit. She launched right into her explaination without waiting for an okay, needing to be heard at that moment.
"It seems one of Sunagakure's ninja have... disappeared. Normally I wouldn't bring this sort of thing at a Kage Summit if it weren't for the fact that this shinobi has been in prison for quite some time. He's been classified as an SS-Rank Missing Ninja, and I fear that all of us might be in trouble because of it. Kazama is an extremist and a murderer, and I wouldn't put it past him to start coming after any of us. As leaders of your villages, I thought it only fitting to bring it up when we were all together before it was too late. He's incredibly dangerous, and you have Sunagakure's permission to kill on sight. No holds barred. I want him dead," she said, her gaze intense as it drifted from Mei to Ryoko and then the mediator. "This goes for Amegakure and any of the minor countries, as well. Kill on sight or risk casualties."

A black sheet of clouds extended across the sky, blocking off the very light emitting from the sun itself, trapping it beyond the clouds and preventing its reach to the ground. Rain continued to fall from the sky, as though a great deity were weeping about a tragedy. A tragedy that had already passed? Or perhaps this deity caught a glimpse of the near future? An eerie feeling could be felt deep within Kazu's bones. His bones began to shake beneath his skin. Kazu had a bad feeling. His intuition was something that he could always rely on. A large bulding began to emerge from the heavy rain in the distance as Kazu and his trusted ANBU escort, Seiren, had approached. Kazu was in no rush now. He was already late for the meeting. The other Kage were bound to have started without him. This just meant he'd have to ask the Hokage, Ryoko, or Sunagakure's Kazekage, Demiyah, what he had missed at the end of the meeting. Casually moving forward towards the building, Kazu twisted his head to the side, catching a glimpse of Seiren at the corner of his eye, who was trailing behind him only a few feet. " Keep your eyes peeled." he ordered the ANBU Jounin. " Watch the other escorts. The other Kage are bound to have them. Leave the Kage to me. I don't suspect they'd try anything, but if they do, I'll handle it. You just worry about the escorts." His orders were clear. It wasn't as though Kazu didn't trust the other Kage. There were no wars. No feuds. No hostility. But when Kazu had a bad feeling, he wanted to be prepared for the worst. Being prepared meant keeping an eye on everybody, even those who you trust the most. A loud thunder rolled, and a bolt of lightning shed light across the village. Each of the tall, oddly shaped buildings in the distance became black silhouettes for a brief second as the lighting lit up, and then faded away. Directly in front of Kazu stood one building in particular. His destination. The designated meeting spot for the Five Kage Summit. Kazu stopped, and let out a deep sigh. He gazed up the tall building, wondering to himself just how tall it really was. It suited the village of Amegakure. It was oddly shaped. Perhaps deformed, in a word. It appeared incredibly eerie, much like the rest of Amegakure. Kazu shifted his gaze down again, looking into the guard's eyes. " Welcome, Mizukage-sama." the guard spoke, greeting Kazu as he bowed. " The others have begun. Please, if you'd be so kind as to follow me." Kazu nodded, not saying anything. He glanced back at Seiren, signalling her to follow, and then began to follow the guard into the building. Another guard shut the door as they passed through it, and onward they moved through the maze of hallways. As the guard led them through, Kazu observed the territory, occasionally glancing back at his escort, Seiren, to ensure that she was still following closely behind him. The hallways were incredibly confusing. It was clear that it was designed this way, in order to prevent intruders. Or at least to prevent them from reaching any high value targets. Anybody who was not escorted by a guard would probably get incredibly lost in this building. The only solution would be to smash your way through. " Mizukage-sama. We have arrived." The guard came to a halt, standing beside the door into the conference room. He opened the door, and Kazu walked through. Kazu's assumption was correct. It seemed the other Kage had already begun. Kazu entered the room, with a large, friendly smile on his face. He stopped for a moment, taking note as to where the other escorts were sitting. He signaled Seiren to join them before gazing upon all of the faces of the Kage. Everybody had already arrived. One seat remained empty. It was a seat in between his ally, the Hokage, and his rival, the Raikage. " My apologies!" Kazu stated with a smile, still standing by the door. He raised his hand into the air, as though he were embarrassed for interrupting the meeting. " I ran into a little bit of trouble on my way here." As Kazu stated those words, he glanced, only for a second, towards the Tsuchikage. The smile never left his face. He then began to walk towards his empty seat beside Ryoko and Mei, the Hokage and Raikage. " Ryoko, it's been a while." Kazu stated as he took his seat beside the Hokoage. He then switched his gaze to the opposite side of him, where the Raikage was sitting. " You as well, hag." That stupid shit eating grin on Kazu's face topped it all off. He knew this would piss off the Raikage. And he looked forward to it. All jokes aside, Kazu observed the room once more. Taking notice of each individual's facial expression. His smile disappeared. " It seems as though we're discussing something serious. Care to fill me in?" Tagged:@meitachibana Ryoko Demiyah Akiyama Seiren TachibanaOOC: Notes CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

OH, SHOULD MY PEOPLE FALL THEN SURELY I'LL DO THE SAME ❝ Amber eyes narrowed into a glare that suggested she was far from pleased with the Hokage's explanation. "How convenient," she muttered, dropping the matter, at least for the moment. It would not bode well to make an enemy of Konohagakure before the meeting had even officially started. Despite his escorts best efforts, Mei would not fall to such trickery. She had come as the face of all of Kumogakure, and it was best she remind herself of that in times like these. Lest she decapitate the escort Ryoko had brought along, inciting a war and presenting an awful display of diplomacy. Their mediator, Takuro Nakagawa, ushered the summit forward. No doubt sensing that the tension in the room would only increase if left alone. They had a mediator for a reason, after all. But just as quickly as he'd commanded the attention of the meeting, one of the five Kage was quick to steal the spotlight once again. She recognized the voice to be that of the Kazekage, Demiyah Akiyama, and straightened in her seat. The woman had her respect, but more importantly, her tone was commanding. Laced with a thin layer of worry that Mei's ears picked up on fast. Whatever she had to say, was not only important enough to interrupt the summit before it had even begun, but bad news. And just as she'd predicted, it was yet another missing-nin. The words tasted bitter in her mouth, and she frowned. The image of any empty cell flashing in her mind momentarily. Tatsu...bastard. she scowled at the thought, but brought her attention back to this man: Kazama. Yet another bounty to write upon her return to Kumogakure. The Raikage heaved a sigh, it just never ends. Really, is it that hard to obey the rules of your village?
"If he steps even one foot into the Land of Lightning, I'll bring you his head." she declared, clearly angered by the word of yet another missing-nin in one of the five shinobi villages. But there was something else there. A hint of motherly aggression that showed how protective she was of her people. Mei never took threats lightly, and she didn't intend to start now. Her men would be instructed not to attempt to fight with Kazama. She'd rather they send word of the pest to her personally, than die trying to claim glory.
"My apologies!" the voice pulled the attention of the table to the door, where a white fox stood, grinning despite his tardiness. "I ran into a little bit of trouble on my way here." A little? She raised a brow, her eyes slowly widening as she looked over his person. His formal Kage cloak that should have been as white as his hair was sullied. Covered in a mixture of mud and what appeared to be blood. It couldn't be...Kazama?! Her eyes raked his body for any sign of wounds, but he appeared unharmed. Standing up slowly from her seat, she addressed him, "Kazu, are you-"
"Ryoko, it's been a while.... You as well, hag."
She barely heard the following sentence as her hand immediately swung forward, snatching him by his collar. As she stood over him, their small height difference allowed the two to see eye to eye. One piercing glare to another. His grin challenging her scowl. "Read the situation better, asshole." she growled, watching as their mediator shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He seemed unsure as to whether or not he should separate the two, as this wasn't the first time the two Kage had clashed. Thankfully Aoi had followed his orders from earlier, and remained seated. Her relationship with Kazu could only remain personal if it remained between the two of them. The second a third party stepped in, it could lead to a war.
"If you had bothered to arrive on time like the rest of us, you would know that Sunagakure has a problem. An SS-Rank missing-nin by the name of Kazama, kill on sight or be killed. Got it?" she hissed, giving him the cliffnotes version while her hand still remained tight around his collar, her glare never wavering from his stare.

Just as Ryoko had guessed, the trickster was already busy setting traps, with two pairs of hands no less. After spying the final arrival, none other than the Mizukage, the clone stationed outside snuck after him, just barely making it through the closing door. She took note of the masked escort, an ANBU, a walking mystery basically. How fitting for that man... While the last leader disappeared inside the meeting room, the shadow clones met up and nodded at each other, with mirroring, mischievous smiles. Words weren’t necessary. Now that all the leaders were present, the guards took their posts and the hallways would be empty for a good while.
It was time to get to work~
For starters, the clone duo went to the nearest staircase, the one everyone had gone through. While one kept watch, the other dug a spool of steel wire from her pocket. Few moments and twenty feet of wire later a beautiful little mess was crisscrossing between the walls, suspended just over the top of the stairs. Without troublesome sunlight to make it gleam, the net of wire was practically invisible. One step inside that and the poor victim would learn the real meaning of tangled feet. Anyone going up or down the stairs was in for a painful tumble. Grinning, the pranksters vanished into the shadows to set even more traps.
In the meantime, the real trickster was enjoying the chaos brewing inside the meeting room. The Kage group was doing a marvelous job getting sidetracked even without her help. Now this was the true form of politics, childish bickering between oh so important figures. First the Raikage jumped the chance to complain, followed by the Boss taking the blame for the suspicions, clearly just to spite the uptight woman. As much as Hara wanted to chime in, she didn’t say anything one way or another. It was not yet time for open mockery, especially not when Ryoko had so graciously covered for her. Instead, she simply settled for smiling innocently.
And then the Kazekage dropped the first real bomb.
For a brief moment, Hara lost her usual smirk. An SS-rank Missing Nin? This was news even to her. How very fascinating... Even better, a mere moment later the Mizukage walked in blissfully oblivious. Apparently that had been the last straw for the lady of thunder. Hara’s smirk returned. She truly enjoyed watching the sparks fly. But... While the Raikage and Mizukage were, heh, discussing the situation, the Kitsune gently nudged the Hokage and whispered. "Come on, Boss... This is your chance to one up these bickering dummies... Say something cool..." She just couldn’t let the other leaders steal the show like that.

This was the only word that came to Ryoko's mind as the meeting got underway. In seconds flat they had learned of an SS-Rank missing nin and the Mizukage -his ally and only real friend in the room- and the Raikage -the woman who seemed to hate his guts more than anyone else here- were already going at each other, moments after Kazu had arrived. Unfortunately Kazu had thrown the first stone, but Ryoko wasn't inclined to continue to let this woman threaten his allies and comrades. Only Hara, and perhaps Kazu would have been able to sense his anger, knowing him well enough. His signature eye twitch began as the bickering started. Perhaps he would have been able to ride it out had a small voice not come from behind him; Hara had oh-so tactfully suggested that he take control of the situation. Was it really a good idea to be listening to her? Emotions running high, he decided to throw caution and political correctness to the wind and speak what was on his mind, since out of those present from the start he had been the only one who'd refrained from doing so.
He kept his composure but his tone of voice was deeper and more honest, not willing to mask his frustration at the news.
"Lady Raikage, I think your anger is misplaced." He sent her a look that could be clearly read as a threat. Getsu, familiar with this tone of voice finally perked his ears up. He saw that his master was still seated and calm in appearance though and quickly went back to a more relaxed mode.
"How is it that an SS-Rank shinobi from your village goes rogue and this is the first we hear about it?" Ryoko had several missing nin come from his own village but never one that needed to be classified as SS-Rank. Anyone with that power could pose a threat to even a room fully of Kage. Had he known about this information prior to arriving he would have taken more precautions for the meeting, possibly chosen a safer location or opted for more security. "I hope you have more information about him than that he is a murderer. Konohagakure will actively assist you in dispatching this man should you be willing to provide us with the information to tactically approach the situation."
Ryoko knew of Demiyah's reputation and normally he himself would have gone into this discussion with more tact but she was a fool if she thought he would send his shinobi to die at the hands of such a powerful opponent from her village unless they had every bit of information about the threat. As his mind raced about this potential state of emergency he came upon the idea of an issue at the chuunin exams, which was one of the topics they were to discuss later in the day. He kept his mouth shut for the time being, having said more than enough on this round, but he made a mental note to bring it up later. Because of this news however he decided to make use of one of the surprising tactical advantages he had that the others probably did not. Choosing a trouble maker as a guard turned out to have a pay-off after all.
He leaned back to Hara and made sure to speak quiet enough so no one but her would hear. "If your sixth sense tells you that anyone but those who are supposed to be here arrives, let me know immediately." His emphasis on sixth sense would tell her that he was aware of her clones and that he actually wanted her to use them.

SS rank shinobi? Rogue? Sunagakure? Kazama?
A plethora of questions was birthed from this new discovery. This was my first time hearing about such a shinobi. To say this ninja peaked my interest would be an understatement. It only confirmed my suspicion of there being powerful ninja and techniques that only few knew about. On the inside, I was bubbling with excitement and curiousity, impatiently waiting to hear more. I wondered how he'd managed to reach such a rank, what crimes he'd commited.. but moreso than anything, I wished to probe his mind.. to dip deepest to understand him, his motivations, his power.
What I couldn't gather from this meeting, I would hope to get from the Kazekage after we returned home. Or perhaps I would consult the historians of the village-- yet, surely information would be highly classified and only issued to those worthy. I was a talented shinobi, but I was also still a child. Surely, somebody in power would have a problem divulging the information to one so young. If that were the case, however, I would take matters into my own hands.
The small bickering throughout the room was noted; I could tell which kages had it in for one another, and who were on friendly terms. The Tsuchikage had more or less taken a backseat in the meeting, sleep, and hadn't awaken even as the fumes of the flames were fueled. Even as a kage, I couldn't help but think how easily it would've been to kill the earth shadow and break the stone.
That wasn't the mission though; I remained at my post, watching, listening, ready to absorb more information about the people I was in the room with, as well as Kazama.

One comment. That was all it had taken to throw the Raikage into her usual fit. Kazu was too good at it. Far too good. And he enjoyed it far too much. The color of his filthy robe had been grasped by the Raikage as she tugged, pulling him towards her. His smile never diminished. That obnoxiously proud, and friendly smile. Kazu gazed deep into Mei's eyes as his grin overpowered the rest of his facial features. Water continued to drip from his dirty, wet robe. The bottom was caked in layers of dirt and mud. The wood floor beneath him began to darken as it absorbed the water dripping from the bottom of his robe. Just before Kazu could speak, Ryoko had taken it upon himself to speak up first. " Lady Raikage, I think your anger is misplaced." Kazu's gaze shifted for a brief second as the Hokage spoke his mind. Immediately after, Kazu's focus shifted back to the woman who had him by the collar. Kazu examined her. Her long, navy hair. And the white and yellow hat she wore to symbolize her power as the Raikage that hid part of it. Kazu listened intently as Mei explained to him the situation. It was a rather quick update, and she spoke in a tone that Kazu found less than desirable, but Kazu understood the situation. A dangerous man had gone missing. A man who could probably go toe-to-toe with even those who were praised to be the strongest among shinobi. Kazu raised his right hand, slapping the wrist of Mei from beneath. His facial expression had changed by now. The typical cold, emotionless stare of the Mizukage had risen. Kazu had used enough force to forcibly remove Mei's hold from his collar, freeing him from her angry grasp. " You anger far too easily, Mei." Kazu boldly stated. " It's unbecoming for a woman of your stature. " Taking a seat, Kazu continued to listen to the conversation of the Kage unravel. Was this it? Could this really be why Kazu had such a bad feeling before entering the hall? Or was there something else? Could something else be coming? Kazu took his seat. He let out a light sigh. " Yes." Kazu spoke out. " What other information could you give us about this dangerous shinobi? What makes him so dangerous?" Kazu spoke with not just a genuine concern for the well being of his own village, but a hint of curiosity as well. Tagged:@meitachibana Ryoko Demiyah AkiyamaOOC: Notes CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY The arrival of the Mizukage didn't serve to defuse any of the tension that Demiyah was feeling, and the altercation between her new ally and her old only served to put her even more on edge. She rest back into her chair, both her elbows settling against the arm rests of the chair, her fingers twined in front of her and rested against her lips, effectively covering her mouth from view. If any had seen the snarl that had formed on her lips, it'd be a dead giveaway as to how furious these people were making her.
All the while, her gaze took on a darker, more angered look. The expression that she took when she was about to take someones life. The one that many people only saw a glimpse of before they were struck and gone. Normally a patient woman, Demiyah's was certainly wearing thin. First Hara, and now this. It was going to end now or Demiyah would end up loosing a couple of arrows on the bickering kage, if only to pin them down to their seats and make them listen. Her attention was taken by the Hokage first, however, forcing her to listen to his concerns. She said nothing in response, anger and frustration continuing to radiate off of her as her gaze trailed back toward the Mizukage and the Raikage. She leaned slowly forward, shifting her position and resting her elbows on the table, one of her hands resting against her forehead, and the other clenched into a trembling fist in front of her. A position of intimidation. Danger was ahead. Demiyah was starting to feel something in the pit of her stomach that was only adding to her anger and uneasiness. Luckily the Mizukage found a moment to detach himself from the Raikage and sit down, though Mei wasn't as lucky, as she now bore the brunt of Demiyah's anger.
"If you would be so kind as to sit down, Lady Raikage," the Lady Kazekage noted calmly, her voice dangerously calm for as infuriated as she appeared. "You may deal with your personal feelings when you are outside of this building and not in the company of the other Kage. I'm sure that our host would appreciate that very much, after all," she continued, motioning to Takuro Nakagawa. "As for your concerns, Lord Hokage, I was getting to that," she noted, staring pointedly in the direction of the Mizukage and the Raikage, as if daring them to start something. "If I may have the floor once more," she said with an heir of finality. This time, she rose to her feet, brushing her own green and white Kage robes off, her eyes adverted down as she thought of where she wanted to start with all of this. The warning was out already, but as to why he'd been ranked an SS criminal, that was an entirely different story.
Before she spoke again, Demiyah composed herself, looking up at the other kage with a level expression. She had half a mind to give the Tsuchikage's chair a kick to wake him up, but she ignored the man, figuring if he wasn't interested, then he deserved to die. "Kazama has been out of prison for quite some time. It seems to be something that the last Kazekage kept hidden until my assistant found the files during our task of organizing everything that that man had left behind. The files were coded, and it wasn't until one of the elders read through it that he caught it, having been very familiar with the Thirds code. In fact, all the files that related in any way to Kazama were coded. What I'm going to tell you is all we know from what we've been able to translate," she noted, her expression turning rather apprehensive as she continued on. "When Kazama was younger, his parents... joined an order that attempted to assassinate the last Kazekage. The Akiyama Clan, though it is a Clan no longer, was slated to protect the Kazekage. The entire order was slaughtered, and Kazama wasn't found afterward, though they did search. It seems that he'd left the village, and later returned under the pretense of revenge. He alone slaughtered the majority of the Akiyama clan," she started, her arms crossed over her chest. "Thankfully he was caught at some point, and he was imprisoned, if only for a single night," she hissed lightly.
"However," Demiyah sighed, "One of his victims survived. We haven't ever been able to get information out of her. She's been permanently hospitalized, and is constantly being sedated so that she may sleep. Whatever he did to her, it was strong enough to destroy her mind and put her into the mental wing of the Sunagakure hospital. There have been others who've come in and been hospitalized just as she has, more so as of late than any time in the past twelve years. We didn't connect these incidents together until this last week, but based on the timing of these occurrences, I can only speculate that something is going to happen soon. Coming up toward the chuunin exams, I thought it would be best to present these concerns before it was too late." The Kazekage was staring at the table once again, one of her fists trembling, "It's taken us four years to fully sort the mess that the Third Kazekage left behind, if we had caught it sooner, maybe it would have been something that could have been taken care of by now."

OH, SHOULD MY PEOPLE FALL THEN SURELY I'LL DO THE SAME ❝ Enraged she turned, slow and controlled in the direction of the voice that had dare intrude on her oh-so passionate conversation with Kazu. An amber glare met the the teal eyed gaze of the Lord Hokage. Ally to Kirigakure and presumed friend of Kazu. She kept her glare trained on him, her hand still wrapped tightly around the wet collar of the Mizukage. It was taking a considerable amount of willpower for her to stand down. Bite her tongue and avoid making an unnecessary enemy out of Konoha. But if he had thrown all caution to the wind, then just what was keeping her in line? "Misplaced?" she said, the word coming out in a tone all too calm and laced with a murderous undertone. "Lord Hokage, you-" she started, dangerously close to escalating. But a hard hit to her wrist brought her attention back to the man in front of her. He was clearly done with the altercation. Even going as far as to scold her. But rather than biting back, she heaved a heavy sigh, collecting herself. As much as she hated to admit it, he was right. Had he not snapped her attention away from the Godaime Hokage at that very moment, she without a doubt would've caused a war. "Kazu," she breathed when she finally felt she could calmly address him. "Your word choice was ill placed within our current topic of conversation. I...apologize for getting rough with you, however, please understand that certain...frustrations have left me on edge. And to our mediator, you have my deepest apologies." she huffed, careful to make her tone convincing despite how forced the apology was. He was an ass. And she regretted worrying over his wellbeing for even a second. It was a miracle in and of itself that she'd stopped at his collar. "If you would be so kind as to sit down, Lady Raikage,"Ah, so even the lady in red had lost her temper. Already on edge, reflex called for biting back. But that was childish. A foolish move that would only make her one more enemy in the room. Besides, the topic had already found it's way back to this 'Kazama', and Mei was very interested in hearing more about this man who was endangering them all. "Please, continue." she nodded, slinking back into her chair with a sigh. Releasing the last bit of tension before straightening her back, resting one leg over the other and giving the Kazekage her full attention. And by the time Demiyah had finished, the lithe frame of the Raikage had grown tense once more. Her fingers linked together and pressed against her lips as her amber eyes burned holes into the table. "Concerning the Chunin exams," she started, taking the floor first. "Despite the danger, I believe we should continue them. Now, hear me out please, as I'm sure the thought of endangering our children shakes you every bit as much as it does me. However, what message are we sending the world if we cower in fear at the very thought of him appearing? We've gathered here today to show solidarity between the villages. And despite our...rocky start, I believe we could be much worse off. I propose all five Kage attend the exams. We will proctor it ourselves, ensuring the safety of every Genin there. And in doing so ensure the public that we will not run from this man. SS-Rank or not, one man doesn't stand a chance against five Kage. Though again, I do recognize the danger here. So I would like the input of the four of you. Where do you stand? Do we go through with the exams, or postpone them?" she said, refusing to stand down to some missing-nin who clearly thought he could do whatever he wanted. Though she cared deeply for the lives of her shinobi, it would do them just as much harm to see their Kage stand down in fear. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS
