MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Ryoko pulled the hood further over his face. The cloak he'd brought may be waterproof but this countries excessive rain had started before they had even crossed the border and it was finding every single way possible to drip into his clothes below. Despite this though, they were finally here. Amegakure. Ryoko, Getsu and Hara all stood at the edge of the city looking in for a moment before he gestured with his hand towards a small inn very close to where they were.
"Once the summit is concluded we will be coming back here to rest, assuming everything goes as planned." With that, he began moving towards where the summit was actually being held. He was told they had been offered a large building with ceremonial value in the heart of the village. Based on information he'd received from his own shinobi though it seemed more like a regular old office building though. Hopefully if things got out of hand they could save their fighting until they were outside of the village, but he was more than happy to decimate a building to get away if he had to. Even if it had special value to the village.
---
Once they arrived he came to understand why they considered it a ceremonial building. It was tall, massive even. When compared to Konoha, he couldn't think of a single building that would be relative in height. Curiosity poked at him as he pondered what it would normally be used for. Perhaps to house the village leaders? Or maybe it was here simply to conduct meetings such as this. Without knowing the exact amount of floors Ryoko was able to guess that the room they were heading for was about half way up, unless the architecture inside was as unusual as the appearance of it outside.
As he stepped inside he was immediately greeted by a representative from Amegakure surrounded by an entourage of bodyguards. The representative flashed a cheerful grin and quickly made his way over to their group. "My name is Takuro Nakagawa. Welcome Hokage-sama. Beautiful day isn't it?" Ryoko was unsure if that was considered a joke in a village that never stopped raining, so he only offered a smile in return.
"Thank you for being so gracious as to offer us a space in which to conduct this meeting. The Leaf Village will not forget your hospitality." Ryoko removed his hood and placed his hat upon his head. He'd been informed that was what would be considered his formal attire for such an event so he didn't want to arrive in the room without it on. Takuro must have seen him looking around for the stairs because he snapped his fingers twice and one of the guards stepped forward. "My subordinate shall show you to the conference room. You're the first here Hokage-sama, so please make yourself comfortable."
First here huh? That will be advantageous. I can only hope that the Raikage isn't the second one to arrive. He cringed at the thought of having to share a quiet conference room alone with her for any length of time. Their last meeting had been so tense at points that he was unsure he'd personally be able to forge an alliance with her. They definitely wouldn't be sharing tea again any time soon.
As his train of thought continued he found himself and his colleagues being led up stairs and down various corridors. It was soon clear why this building had been chosen. It was very confusing to an outsider. Providing a socially acceptable way to force an Amegakure escort on every excursion outside of the room meant that they would be able to keep tabs on all the foreigners. Ryoko had expected something like this though and considered it perfectly acceptable. He'd in fact do the same thing in his own place of residence. Still, it was interesting to watch as such a small village do it's best to insert itself into the politics of the five great nations. He'd have to keep a mental note to have a spy in this area in the coming months, in the event someone else tried to take advantage of their eagerness.
"Here you are Sir." Finally they had arrived in the room. It had one large circular table on the outside of the room, presumably for the escorts and then a smaller one in the center for the Kage to use. The seats had been marked with their village flags so Ryoko quickly made his way over to where he would be sitting. He nodded at the escort as thanks and he quickly left the room. It looked like Takuro, the representative from Amegakure would sit at the head of the room then going counterclockwise would be the Raikage, Mizukage, Hokage, Kazekage and Tsuchikage, before arriving back at Takuro again. This arrangement set just find with Ryoko as both his allies would be close at hand should something go awry. He sat down and laid his hat in front of him, taking a moment to turn to Hara and Getsu before the others arrived.
"If either of you are going to cause trouble, please try to not make it obvious." He offered a half-hearted smile to his bodyguards before turning back around to wait for the others to arrive. |

Splish splash, the cold water parted under the trembling toes. Well, the sound wasn’t there, but Hara Kin could certainly feel every single step. Someone had completely forgotten the Land of Rain was so... wet. She had packed many things for the trip, but waterproof clothing hadn’t been among them. By now, the blonde kunoichi had been soaked several times over. Thus, she had spent the last stretches of the trip shivering and struggling to stay sharp. If only she had worn a cloak... And shoes or at least socks... But those were so uncomfortable! As the Hokage stopped to show their resting place for the night, the Kitsune voiced a quiet and shaky "Y-y-yay." At least she would eventually get somewhere dry and warm.
However, there was one other thought that warmed her playful heart...
When the Hokage and his wolf continued moving, Hara took the opportunity to start her personal mission. To prank every single attendee. Keeping a safe distance, she quickly made a simple and very familiar hand seal. Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Two clones appeared alongside her. Without a word, the three women nodded at each other in unison and each copy snatched something from the huge backpack. Right after, the real Kitsune picked up the pace and caught up to the Hokage, as if she had never left his side. Together with her kekkei genkai, constantly remaining near him was going to be her alibi. Finally, the plans were in motion.
Upon reaching the massive building, Hara whistled in awe. It was... perfect! There would be so much room to run around and play tricks. Since the Hokage seemed to be awkward as ever, the trickster chimed back with a joke as well. "Hah, yeah, I bet Sunakagure is so jealous~" And they were the first to arrive too. Lady Luck was smiling. One of her clone remained outside, finding a nice, shady and relatively dry spot just beneath the roof, while the other tailed the group inside. The Kitsune herself tiptoed right behind the Hokage, keeping a close eye on their escorts. Even with personal agendas in the works, she wouldn’t let anything happen to the Boss.
At the same time, the shadow clone crawled along the ceiling, drawing tiny arrows here and there to mark the route back to the exit. Not only would it come in handy while sneaking around, but if something backfired, she needed to get her allies out quickly. And hopefully without having to blast any walls open... That would’ve been just rude and not very sneaky at all. Those thoughts were pushed aside when they reached the destination. As the escorts left, Hara hid her backpack in a remote corner before returning to the Hokage’s side. Having to just sit around while stubborn fools argued politics would be incredibly boring, but... She would certainly find ways to entertain herself.
While the real kunoichi followed the Hokage into the meeting room, her kage bunshin turned around and snuck back a few corners. After confirming there were no guards around, she performed few hand seals and activated a genjutsu. Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu. A mischievous giggle echoed through the empty hallways. In an illusory swirl, the hallway turned into a dead end, like there had never even been a route there. Anyone walking in here would see it that way. Funny how big of a difference one fake wall could make. This would certainly have the guides scratching their heads for a while. And the trickster was just getting started.
Meanwhile, the clone hiding outside spied someone approaching. A devilish smile crept on her lips. It was time for some classic misdirection. With a quick set of hand seals, she dragged the arrivals into another genjutsu. Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu. It didn’t matter how well the guides knew the route. They would be walking in circles through the building until exhaustion. Or until someone figured out what was going on. That might take a while though. The confusing layout of the building really worked to her advantage here. Many of the routes looked the same already and outsiders couldn’t tell the difference anyway. From the shadows, she watched the hilarity ensue.
Back in the conference room, the real Hara smiled innocently. "Oh, don’t worry, Boss~ I promise today we will be on our... heh~ best behavior~" She glanced at the wolf and reached out to scratch him behind the ears. A dog was a dog, even when he was actually a huge wolf. "Isn’t that right, buddy~?" Even if these two had their suspicions about her, she would play innocent until proven otherwise. Smiling as always.

OH, SHOULD MY PEOPLE FALL THEN SURELY I'LL DO THE SAME ❝ "Rain," she reached her hand out as if to catch the clear drops of liquid. At least this meant they were nearing their destination. Their trip thus far had been painfully uneventful. Leaving Aoi silent and bored, occasionally gripping at Gekido, anticipating - one might even say hoping for - a fight. A safe trip meant a quiet trip, and Mei retired into her thoughts for most of it. Tirelessly running through her previous meetings with the Hokage and Kazekage. And then, her never ending feud with that god damn dragon. Kazu, her amber eyes glared forward, hand curling in a clenched fist. He would inevitably doing something to unnerve her today, and she needed to be prepared for that. Just stay in your seat, Mei. Whatever you do, do not draw your sword! she chided herself, recalling far too many meetings that had quickly gone loud and violent. So this was Amegakure, huh? "Aoi," she said, voice hushed but as firm as usual. "We're here." she tilted the white and gold Kage hat up, reading the engraving on the gates to Amegakure. This would be her first time visiting the village, and she wasn't quite sure if that was a bad thing or not. The Hokage himself had unintentionally pointed out how narrow her vision had become. Having eyes only for Kumogakure had proved incredibly beneficial to the village. But she'd been too blind to focus on other countries... or on herself. "What an idiot." she groaned, thinking back to the letter and bouquet she found on her desk one afternoon after Yuzu had forced her into leaving her office. The missing-nin had been foolish enough to infiltrate the office of the Raikage, just to leave her a gift! It was baffling to Mei, and she'd spent the rest of her evening incredibly flustered, agitated, and confused. This was why she avoided men and focused on work. They were either confusing idiots like this 'Umashi', or irritating like Kazu. Pulling away from her thoughts, she hadn't noticed that her legs had gone on auto-pilot. Advancing forward through the village without ever uttering a word to Aoi. She turned her head slightly, catching a glimpse of blue. Good, he was still following. "Aoi, I trust that you will cause me no grief during this summit. Even if you feel I've been threatened, especially so by the Mizukage, stand down. I did not come here to make enemies. Only interfere if it seems my life is in danger. I trust your judgement on this." she said firmly, her gaze drifting over the large blade on his back. Though she was certain the other four Kage were of the same mindset as she, Kazu was always an unknown factor. He invoked an anger within her that no one else could. But it was personal. And the last thing she wanted was for Aoi to draw Gekido and point his blade at the Mizukage, or anyone else for that matter. "Ah, Lady Kazekage-sama. Hello," she said, giving the woman a respectful bow. The redhead stood just outside the skyscraper that would house their meeting. And Mei found her gaze drifting upwards, taking in the massive structure. "I hope your travels were safe," she said, smiling at the woman she'd grown to respect during their previous meeting. Despite this, her sentences were still very generic formalities, perhaps betraying the genuine smile that lit up her features. tags: Demiyah Akiyama, Aoi InoueMADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY The young Kazekage pulled the hood of her rain coat up and over her head, red eyes watching the world in front of her. She glanced back to ensure that Kouketsu was still with her, relieved that they had evaded the sand storm. If they hadn't, it could have put them back a countless number of hours or even days. Other than that, the only other thing that had happened on their journey was them running into the sand spiders. They'd made quick work of them, however, continuing without any other hang-ups. It was easy passing through the gates of Amegakure and into the village, but she noticed that people tailed behind her and her escort the entire way, keeping their eyes the two foreign ninja that had passed into their home.
Demiyah's gaze drifted along each building, noting each escape, each anomaly, each guard that she could physically see and potentially two to three more at each outpost that she couldn't. She wasn't paranoid, she simply liked to be prepared for the worst. It was likely that something could happen, and Demiyah couldn't be grasping at straws. Her goal would be to get her and her escort out of Amegakure before they could be pulled into the fight, as long as the fight wasn't aimed directly at her. You never could predict what would happen at these kinds of meetings, after all.
Once she made it to the large building that the Summit was to be held at, she paused, speaking briefly to the guide waiting there. He explained that the Hokage was already inside. Nodding to herself, she crossed her arms over her chest, "I am going to wait for the Raikage if you don't mind," she noted calmly, her gaze drifting to Kouketsu to make sure that he understood. Demiyah didn't mind the rain. It wasn't bad as the wind could be in Sunagakure, and the cool water was just what she needed to relax a little bit. She'd been more than a little tense in the past few weeks. Now that it was time for the Summit, she couldn't let herself relax at all. This was going to be a tiring day or negotiations and conversations if they expected the coming chuunin exams to go smoothly.
Her mind drifted as she waited, her eyes adverted toward the ground and she ran through everything that she knew she wanted to say today. There might be a few surprises, so she made sure to prepare herself in that regard as well. In the meantime, she pulled the hood of her cloak off, unclasping her Kage's hat from her belt underneath the tan fabric. She placed it slowly onto her head, sighing heavily. "Kouketsu, remember what I said. You're my eyes and ears for everything that I won't be able to catch. If someone tries to cause trouble, leave them be. They'll be dealt with one way or another. Unless I'm in immediate danger, you will remain at your post. Both you and Obelisk," Demiyah noted, red eyes watching her escort from under the emerald and white of her hat. "I trust you to follow my direction," she added with an heir of finality, straightening up as she caught sight of the gold and white hat of the Raikage. A smirk spread across her lips. "Just the person we've been waiting for," she noted, turning to face Mei and her escort. She caught a glimpse of blue hair and a familiar marking around the eye, but she didn't think anything of it at first. Lifting her head, tipping her hat up, she greeting Mei with a now warm smile.
"Lady Raikage," Demiyah started, "My journey was easy, but quick. Sungakure isn't very far from Amegakure, after all. The only thing we had to avoid was a sand storm," she said with a chuckle. "I hope your journey was easy as well, for both you and your-" her gaze had drifted back toward Mei's escort, her mind putting the memories together. A name to a face. A man injured in the forest, poison spreading quickly through his body. The mere hours before she'd become the Kazekage in title. Days before it was official. The lie she'd told him. She hadn't been a jounin when he'd asked. Aoi. "...escort." She played the pause off easily, pressing a lock of her red hair from in front of her blind eye. "Shall we enter? The Hokage is already inside. I thought it best that I wasn't in there alone with him, lest I lose my temper with the man," she admitted, not too worried about letting that fault in her character show.

Our entrance into Amegakure was a subtle one; the dryness of the desert seamlessly shifted into free falls of cold and dampened raindrops. It was a welcome change for me. I’d take anything over the heat of the sands. For Obelisk however, the rain wasn’t his thing. This was evident by his descent from the skies once the rain got too intense for him. It wasn’t that he couldn’t fly in the rain—it was more so his desire to avoid it. Talons gripped onto my right shoulder before the marvelous eagle performed a metamorphism of sorts, transforming into a rather ordinary katana of average length and girth via the transformation technique. I fastened him diagonally across my back as we continued. Whereas I had to be the eyes and ears of the Kage for what she couldn’t see, Obelisk would be the eyes and ears in my blind spots.
We arrived at the meeting place, a large structure located deeper in the village, and I took note of the layout of the village as we progressed. I wondered what type of services this country provided, and if the land of Rain produced its own shinobi. The Kazekage wished to remain outside a little while longer to wait for the Raikage, and while I was anxious to enter I had no objections.
I took up post a few feet from the Kazekage, leaning up against the wall of the building we would be entering soon. It wasn’t long before the Raikage would arrive with her escort. I scanned over their countenance thoroughly, taking note of the lightning shadow’s navy blue hair and her escort’s strange markings. He was a shinobi no doubt, probably a powerful and skilled one at that. I, however, remained stoic in my disposition. Onyx oculi peered out amongst the unfolding scenery, watching and noting all that they could see. I waited patiently until the Kazekage was ready, and upon her advancement into the building I would follow suit.
I prepared myself for what was to come.

The trip to Amegakure had finally neared it's end. It was a long and boring journey. Aoi didn't mind that at all, though. As long as he had a job to do, Aoi was satisfied. His job was to safely escort Lady Raikage to and from Amegakure so that she could meet with the four other kage. At this point, half of his job had been completed successfully. Now it was a matter of ensuring that she wasn't harmed at the meeting, and that he could return her home unharmed. It rained non-stop. The rain continued to fall from the thick sea of clouds that floated overhead. Aoi wondered what it would have been like to live in such a place where they saw little to no sunlight. It just rained all of the time. Always drenched in rain water. Clothes always caked in mud. Though, as disgusting as the mud might have been, Aoi enjoyed the cool rain drops rolling down the skin of his face. In a way, it felt soothing. Like the world around Aoi didn't exist. As if ripped from a wonderful dream, Aoi snapped back once Lady Raikage's voice struck his ears. " Aoi, we're here." Aoi silently followed Lady Raikage through the gates at the front of Amegakure. The sight was one to behold. It was truly a sight that needed to be experienced at least once in the life of any shinobi. The oddly shaped, gray buildings stood tall in the distance. Buildings of all shapes and sized. As the Raikage and her loyal follower made their way through the streets of Amegakure, the Raikage made her final statements to Aoi before approaching the designated building for the meeting. " Yes, my lady." Aoi replied instinctively. " I will use my best judgement." Standing in the distance by the building designated for the meeting was a familiar face. One Aoi hadn't seen in a long time. One that he hadn't imagined he'd ever see again. Aoi's body froze for a moment as the familiar flowing, red hair had forced his gaze. Aoi approached, and his heart beat began to rise a small amount. A single bead of sweat ran down his face, blending in with the rain water, making it invisible. It's her...
The two lady Kage greeted one another, Demiyah seemingly just as shocked to see Aoi's face as he was to see hers. But, wasting little time, the four of them entered the building and made their way towards the meeting room.

i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY The Kazekage took the lead at this point, turning quickly on her heel in an attempt to compose herself. Why, of all people, did the Raikage choose him as her escort? She would have thought that it was a coincidence if it weren't for the fact that Demiyah was sure Aoi had never known that she was the Kazekage. The names of the Kages weren't widely known outside of their own villages, unless you were another Kage. On the off chance that he'd found out by some other means, she needed to be prepared. She had lied to him, after all. In the mean time, however, she moved toward their Amegakure escort. "We're ready to enter," she noted calmly, her voice holding it's normal commanding tone.
The group of four shinobi was promptly herded into the tall building. All the while, Demiyah kept her gaze moving, noting each and every exit and escape that she possibly could. She noted tiny details that might help her distinguish her location later on, putting them back in her memory to attempt to use them when required. She needed to be prepared lest something went horribly wrong at this Summit. The last thing she needed was to get lost in a building such as this, without any sense of direction. She remained next to her escort, turning her head to look behind her, her gaze moving past both the Raikage and Aoi, trying to note the direction they were going and the way they had come in. Her expression held a great level of concentration that was only seen in times such as this; when she would actually need it.
Demiyah paused after a while, watching as the Amegakure escort stopped where their hall way should have been. He scratched his head, looking incredibly dumbfounded. Where there was once a hallway, there was now a wall. Lifting an eyebrow, Demiyah turned to look at the hallway they were standing in, her gaze moving along each wall. She took a few moments to put her hand out, feeling for anything remotely different. The escort seemed to shrug, starting to turn and lead them back down the hall they'd come in at. 'No escort so familiar with this building would get lost this easily,' she noted to herself, refusing to move from where she stood. There was something else going on here and she had an idea of what it was. Knowing that the Hokage was here only added fuel to the fire. She had a hunch. "Wait," she called to the escort, waving him back over. "I have a feeling someone decided to be crafty," she muttered. Lifting her hand, she made a hand sign, "Kai!" Just like that, the genjutsu melted away, leaving their true passageway open for them to walk down. "This is where you were taking us, was it not?" she asked the escort, who nodded, looking ashamed that he hadn't caught the genjutsu. Demiyah gave a small smile, bowing slightly to the escort, "Thank you, but I think we will be fine from here. After all, there is only one room down this way."
With that, she turned away, starting down the hall. The smile had disappeared and she was ready to confront whoever had decided that it would be a good idea to put the genjutsu up. 'Juvenile, to say the least,' she thought to herself, stepping into the doorway of the room. She paused when she was inside, waiting for the other three to follow suit, glancing to Mei, she gave a slow nod and then cast her gaze across the room. She noted the Hokage's presence first, and then Hara. Everything clicked into place at that moment, and her eyes narrowed at the Hokage's escort. 'Of course.'
Wasting no time, Demiyah shifted slightly, suddenly disappearing from beside the Raikage. Instead, she stood right in front of Hara, watching the woman with an intense gaze at first. She remained completely and totally silent, lifting her hand and pressing it to the Konohagakure jounin's cheek. Leaning forward slowly, she rested her forehead against the other woman's, her lips close to Hara's. "I hope that today, of all days, my words make an impact on your decisions, Hara Kin. We wouldn't want another meeting like last time, would we? I'm sure you'd like to keep your dignity and remain standing for the entirety of the Summit," Demiyah noted calmly. With that, she slid her hand down to the woman's jaw, kissed her cheek, and stepped around Hara, moving toward her seat next to the Hokage. She removed her hat, placing it upon the table in front of her, looking toward Ryoko.
"Greetings, Lord Hokage. I trust we'll have a pleasant meeting, yes?" she asked, her gaze challenging, her lips forming into a slight smirk. Things were about to get started. There was bound to be words thrown around, and the Kazekage wasn't one to hold back.

Post by Hara Kin on Jun 25, 2014 10:48:13 GMT -7
Both of the sneaky clones were observing the fresh arrivals from the shadows. So many interesting people. Hara loved to watch things in motion and she vowed to see these people moving. Back inside, the real one was enjoying the voices echoing from the hallways. Already her trickery had people scratching their heads. The clearest voice sounded kind of familiar though... And she soon understood why.
While Hara didn’t recognize most of the new arrivals, there was one face in the crowd she couldn’t forget. Demiyah. When the unnaturally fast Kage suddenly appeared right in front of Hara, the trickster’s smile shrunk just the tiniest bit. The memory of their last meeting flashed through her mind. Her instincts were screaming at her to get away, but she didn’t budge an inch and only listened carefully. Normally she would’ve just laughed, but... Well, she had her reasons to be reserved. Though she didn’t fear pain, or death, she still would rather not experience either. Especially not when the fun was only beginning.
The Kitsune didn’t say a word and just nodded innocently, like a child afraid of a mentor. How much of it was real and how much just a façade... well... Only she knew the truth. Prepared for pain, she was caught off guard by the gentle peck on her cheek. Suddenly, a mix of confusion and worry appeared on her features. Was it that jutsu again? As the unnerving anticipation passed, she was mildly disappointed to realize there hadn’t been anything electrifying in this kiss. The Kazekage assaulting a foreign Jounin unprovoked... Oh what wonderful chaos that could have started...
Thinking quickly, Hara settled for the next best thing and glanced after the Kazekage with feigned longing. "I missed you too, darling~" She chimed with a charming giggle. Of course, her insolence had no limits. If their shocking history was anything to go by, this kind of thing was bit of a sore spot for the fiery woman. ...Which made it absolutely perfect for the Kitsune. While towards the Hokage’s ear as if for something private, she made sure everyone in the room could hear the careless whisper. "She’s actually really nice once you get to know her... mhm... intimately~" The last word got very special emphasis just to give everyone the wrong idea.
Hara hadn’t told anyone, not even the Hokage, about her amusing and ultimately painful encounter with Demiyah in the Land of Rivers. No one would’ve believed her anyway... It was one of the downsides of being a notoriously crafty trickster. Explaining the truth now wouldn’t make any difference. Instead, she would cultivate the misunderstandings with all her acting skill. "You see, Boss, I spent some quality time together with Speedy over there and she left me absolutely breathless. I wasn’t able to walk right afterwards if you know what I mean." Well, technically her whispers weren’t lies, only truths twisted to suit her plan. This ought to start some rumors.
Falling quiet, the Kitsune straightened her back and glanced at the Kazekage. For a split-second, an undeniably sinister grin played on her lips. It reverted to her usual, playful smile quickly enough to make many people doubt their eyes. Had that dark look been real or were they just imagining things? But Hara was certain the clever red-head would get her message. It was a challenge. She dared the fiery woman to deny the outrageous claims, to say anything at all. Go ahead... You know you want to... One way or another, the trickster would derail this boring meeting and give the leaders far more interesting topics to think about.

OH, SHOULD MY PEOPLE FALL THEN SURELY I'LL DO THE SAME ❝ Brushing away a strand of navy hair that clung to her face, the woman's expression was steeled and stoic. The only flaw in her features was a raised brow towards the Kazekage's pause. But she quickly waved it off, nodding as the redhead suggested they enter the building. Her lips tugged into the slightest smile at her comment on the Hokage, but she thought it best to remain silent. Lest she give away her stance on each Kage and incite a war or ill intentions. Though the man irked her, it was more so due to how green he was than anything personal. Looking to Aoi, she gestured for her blue-haired companion to follow the Kazekage's lead inside. "Your architecture is breathtaking," she commented, gaze drifting over the walls and doors of the skyscraper they'd walked into. The compliment was more a pleasantry than truth. Masking Mei's focused gaze as it deliberately took in the location of every door, stair, and crack in the foundation. Even the slightest chip in a door was noted. After all, something always seemed to go wrong at a Kage Summit. And the Lady Raikage didn't believe in being over prepared. Which seemed to work in her favor now, as their Amegakure escort had them walking about in hopeless circles. Scratching his head and maintaining a brave face that suggested they'd be there soon. "Wait," the Kazekage's words echoed through the halls, and Mei's hand immediately shifted to the blade on her hip. "I have a feeling someone decided to be crafty," The further interjection did nothing to Mei's resolve, and her hand tightly coiled around the hilt of her blade. Ready to strike down anyone or anything that dared moved in the next second. Though with her glare burning a hole into Demiyah's back, it likely looked as though the Kage was plotting to cut off the head of another Kage. But the woman's hand seal melted the genjutsu away, and Mei eased her hand off the hilt of her blade, heaving a sight. Games, she frowned, following Demiyah's lead into their intended room. But just as they'd entered, the Kazekage was gone. Leaving Mei with an extra escort and a wide-eyed, murderous expression. More tricks? Her hand found it's way back to the hilt of her blade, and she watched as Demiyah appeared in front of the escort from Konohagakure. The two seemed rather intimate, though it was clear to everyone in the room that Demiyah's word were cold and laced with venom. "Hara Kin, was it?" she said, finding her seat and removing the formal, and annoyingly large hat she'd worn during her travels. Before setting her hat on the table, she quickly closed the distance between her and Aoi. The two stood as intimate as Hara and Demiyah just had, and Mei whispered orders she was certain only her escort would hear: "If the fox moves, kill her."Taking her seat, she noted with a frown that the Mizukage was to sit right next to her, but quickly turned her challenging, amber glare back to the blonde across the room. "What an interesting name," she said, switching her target to the Hokage now. "Hello again, Hokage-sama. I trust your travels were safe?" she said, getting the pleasantries out of the way first. " Aoi and I had no troubles, that is, until we entered the building," she paused, glare locking back on Hara briefly. "I'd hope we all understand that we're gathering for a meeting, not to play games." she said softly, straightening in her seat and never once breaking her gaze from either Hara or Ryoko. It was a warning she hoped the Hokage would hear clearly. "Hello," the Tsuchikage waved, entering the room and taking his seat next to the Kazekage. He uttered nothing further, and immediately sank back into his seat. Intent on dozing off for the duration of the meeting. Mei's tongue clicked, making a ' Tsk.' sound. Allowing her gaze to drift from the troublemaker Konoha had brought, trusting that Aoi would be keeping a watchful eye. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Ryoko's eye twitched slightly and he felt his blood begin to boil. Hara had already caused trouble and he'd not even had an opportunity to introduce himself to the Kazekage yet, a woman that he knew by name and by reputation; Not by appearance. He was a little surprised to see that she made no effort to hide that she was blind in one eye and was even more so surprised that she was so candid in front of such an important audience. His expectations of Mei were right on the dot. As professional and abrasive towards him and his troupe as his first encounter. This of course could be attributed to Hara's actions, whatever they had been but everything that had happened so far was well within the realm of what he considered would happen. Bringing along such a troublesome woman, regardless of how reliable she was, Ryoko would have been a fool not to prepare. Luckily for him his life of growing up fending off verbal attacks from people within his own village had molded his talents with words into something to be admired; At least when it came to getting himself out of trouble he should have never been in in the first place.
"Hara, you'll refrain from boring me with the details of your's and the Kazekage's personal lives while we're here on official business." Fooling around with the Kazekage? None of his jounin would admit to such a heinous act of treason. Even with the Sand being an ally, an intimate relationship with another villages shinobi, especially a Kage behind Ryoko's back would have been cause for that alliance to end and Hara knew that. Ryoko also knew how often she liked to interject sexual innuendo to throw him off because of his obvious lack of skill in the relationsghip department. Because of this he decided to take control of his guard before the Kazekage could utter more veiled threats. "What you do on your vacation time is not my business."
Now it hadn't been more than ten minutes and his party had already been threatened into behaving. Perhaps it was his perception of a bit of condescension on their part, but he decided to cover for his jounin instead of letting her indiscretion slide. "I must apologize on behalf of my guard, though I am to blame for your trouble inside the building." Unfortunately for him, neither of the Kage had mentioned exactly what it was they had stepped into. Hara was known for her tricks and he ran the ones he knew through his head. The fact that they were there and not covered in some form of paint, dye or ink led him to believe that the problem was most likely one of her genjutsu. It also occurred to him that she must have clones active outside the building. She loved to see her mayhem occur and that would be best done from outside the room, especially if she was setting up traps in hallways and stairwells. This was not in his orders, but it could work to his advantage if he could keep it under wraps.
"I did not want to be spied on by our gracious hosts. I figured that Kage would have no problem seeing through the ruse and making their way to this room. I do hope our deception did not cause you too much trouble." He lacked specificity in his statement because he didn't want to give details on a trick he knew nothing about in the event he was wrong. Regardless, based on the statements made so far it seemed less and less likely for Ryoko to get along with anyone.
Moments after he finished his statement the Tsuchikage made his way into the room. He looked like a disinterested man and after a very short introduction sat down and immediately started to doze off. Ryoko sighed. Another one he'd never met and here he was, not even getting an opportunity to introduce himself. If not for his next ally, the Mizukage, Ryoko would seemingly have no friends at this meeting. And of course it was the Mizukage who had not arrived yet. Almost on cue with this thought the Amegakure mediator, Takuro Nakagawa walked through the door and bowed deeply before taking his seat.
"It appears as though the Mizukage will be late. This is unfortunate, but I believe we should begin as I'm sure you are all busy people." He flashed a smile around the room. "Takuro Nakagawa, I will be your mediator during this meeting."
