biography Born to a clan with no allies, Masaki brought great attention to his parents. Even at a young age he showed signs of his clans KG and, when he did use his chakra, instead of forming flowers like most did, Masaki formed strands of ivy. It was something that very few else had done. He served as one of the clan's earliest users and from that moment on, Masaki was destined to do well in his clan. But fate, with her tricky ways, had another destiny in store for the young child. And when he was seven years old his parents had another child in hopes that the second babe would be like Masaki, as if their genes produced prodigies and prodigies alone. When Mio was born it was easy to tell Masaki was smittened by his little sister along with most of the clan. Her pink hair became a sign that she too would follow in Masaki's footsteps and become a powerful user of their KG. But for Masaki himself, his love for his sister went beyond KG and clan blood, it was a pure friendship, an unadulterated love for the one thing that brought him joy. As the pair grew together Masaki saw the light and love in Mio's eyes for everything around her- the way she viewed the world in a naive wonder was how he too wanted to view it. Masaki took his little sister everywhere: to his training, exploring, traveling, it was hard to ever separate the two siblings. Yet, how their parents and the rest of the clan saw Mio was disturbingly different than Masaki's view. Mio still had yet to show any promise of her KG and her skills were lacking, paling when compared to that of her brother's. Their parents disliked the amount of time the pair spent with each other, worrying as if Mio's lack of progress would rub off on Masaki. Despite their attempts, however, Masaki always slipped past them, sneaking to see his sister and take her on adventures. He loved her. On Mio's 6th birthday, Masaki had something special planned for her, a gift to help encourage his younger sister who'd been receiving a lot of pressure from the family to preform her KG. The ways of their clan were harsh since the leaders refused to settle down or make pacts with villages for protection. Instead, in order to keep their line alive, they foolhardily spread out their people in groups throughout the countries, but any children who showed no signs of the clan's KG were discarded. Masaki feared this would happen to Mio, but, this day was to celebrate her life, her birth, and he didn't say anything about his fears. Instead, with a giddy Mio, Masaki revealed to her his gift, a small hair clip in the shape of a flower. "One day, Mio," he told her, "your KG will appear and you will blossom just like this flower." The celebration of Mio's birthday was a joyous one and both of the siblings enjoyed the party. Masaki slept soundly that night, his dreams of him and his sister fighting side by side as they traveled the land flickering through his mind. The ten year old had little idea what was going on outside of his tent, because if he had, he would have never let it happened. That morning when Masaki woke, he went to find Mio as the two always shared breakfast together. But when he got to her tent and found it empty, the keen boy knew what had happened before his parents even explained. Mio had been abandoned. She'd been taken away by her very clan and dropped off at some village so they could take care of the "dead weight". Masaki, filled with a burning sorrow and rage, fled the camp, running away as he desperately tried to find the people who'd escorted his sister away from him. He couldn't live without her. He didn't want to. But the young Masaki was lost, too many options available for him to gather his bearings and he had no idea just which village Mio ended up at. Alone and without resources for nearly a week, Masaki was rescued by Iwagakure. The village took him in, giving him to a foster home where he lived. He refused to take their last name or keep his clan name, he wanted a new family name with his Mio. Masaki never stopped looking for his sister but the years went by and he started to train at the academy. He was an excellent student and an even better tutor and during these years Masaki's life took another change. He was only eighteen and a chuunin when he met the girl he soon fell in love with. She was just a simple villager but Masaki loved Lithra dearly, in ways that he had never felt before. He even suggested that he relax away from his shinobi training, offering to settle down with Lithra in the village instead of undertaking his training to become a jounin but Lithra would not have it. Instead, she encouraged him to continue to train with KG, becoming the skilled user that his parents wanted him to be. This way, Lithra would nuzzle and kiss his neck, he could protect her and Iwa. When he was twenty Masaki became a jounin. When he was twenty-three Masaki and Lithra were engaged to be married. Yet, once again, Masaki would face another loss too great for one man to suffer. Lithra was kidnapped by forces Masaki did not know. And with permission from his Kage he found himself tracking her and her kidnappers for months, then those months trickled into years. No one in the village knew what happened to the pair. During these horrible years Masaki increase his training, knowing he'd have to fight to win back his fiance. Two years after her abduction, Masaki finally found her and planned to destroy the entire band to rescue her. But his tactics failed him that day, leaving Masaki with a scar to his stomach, an injury to his right eye, near death, and the experience of watching his love die before him. The gang left him to bleed out or die from heartbreak, whatever came first. A few days later Masaki was located and brought back to Iwagakure where he spent a year recovering from his wounds. Now, recovered both body and title, Masaki is back in the game. He talks nothing of his past and has dedicated himself to teaching and leading his own group of genin. In the mean time, he uses this and the thought of seeing Mio again, to prevent himself from losing his mind to sorrow. * - Permission from the KG original creator has been given for Masaki to have this KG. | ooc info ☆ NAME Benawia ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Hitomi Hane ☆ FACE CLAIM SAIYUKI Cho Hakkai Masaki THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Benawia.
