biography As members of the Suoh Clan's council, Amaya and Ryuuta Suoh were ashamed to have not born a single child in their age. Amaya had been through two pregnancies, both were girls, and neither made it to full term. She felt cursed and as though the gods were punishing her. But yearning for a child, the couple decided to try just one more time. Amaya struggled from the moment of conception to keep her child alive. It was an extremely taxing pregnancy that left Amaya exhausted and bedridden for weeks at a time. She was constantly in and out of the hospital due to complications, and during her second trimester, they finally learned why: it was a girl. For the rest of that night, Amaya wept, lost in the despair of what would surely lead to another miscarriage. But her little girl never gave up, and soon, Amaya's courage rose to met her daughter's. It was in the cold winter at the end of December that Amaya went into labor. It was long and life threatening to both mother and child, but both of them survived. Their daughter was small, underdeveloped and fragile, but most of all she was alive. And for that, they named this little miracle Yukiko, meaning 'rare child' to celebrate her birth. However, the struggle of a woman born to the Suoh clan never ended at birth. She wasn't expected to live to see her first birthday. Every morning she woke up was a gift, and the day that followed was nothing but a constant struggle. Despite her frail body, Yukiko had promising potential with her chakra control and the sheer size of her chakra pool. She was shaping up to be one of the best future medical ninja the Suoh Clan had produced in a long time, assuming she lived long enough to hone her skills. At the age of eleven, Yukiko was finally stable enough to enter the Shinobi Academy. Her parents had grown extremely protective of their miracle child, and as such, were against the idea. Especially after recent events, in which many members of the clan had been brutally slaughtered. But Yuki was stubborn, and after days of begging and pleading, her parents caved. As much as they wanted to protect her from the world, they just couldn't tell their little girl 'no'. She excelled in the ninjutsu portion, easily creating a clone of herself. Her scores on written exams were above average. But her frail body simply couldn't handle the intense taijutsu and bukijutsu training. Often fainting in class both from the pressure on her body, and the mental pressure she exerted on herself to improve. No amount of sheer willpower would get her through the academy, and after pushing herself too far one day, she was hospitalized. Her parents decided to pull her from school, promising she could try again when she was healthy. Rather than training, attending the academy, or simply running outside and playing with the other children, Yukiko was forced to spend an entire two years in a hospital bed. It was awful. She turned to books as both a source of entertainment and comfort, and her mother brought her a new batch every week. Sometimes they were fiction, and other times, manuals and training guides. Yuki was never picky about what she was reading, so long as she could have a book in her hand. It served to comfort her for roughly the first six months, until she hit a very dark period in her life. She just wanted to give up. Not just on being a kunoichi, but on everything. What was the point in trying with such a broken body? Her mother tried desperately to bring her out of such a dangerous mindset, but when she realized she couldn't, Amaya brought in reinforcements: Ryuunosuke Suoh; a fellow clansmen and Yuki's childhood friend. He began visiting her in place of her mother, and his presence alone served to raise her spirits. On one of her darkest hours, Ryuu stripped away the clothes covering his prosthetic arm and leg, and revealed how agonizing it had been to lose his limbs and learn to walk and use his arm again. He refused to let her give up. Even going as far as to make her a pendant so that he could always be there for her, even when he wasn't physically present. Ryuu gave her a new reason to live, and someone to live for. Two years later, at the age of thirteen, Yuki enrolled into the Shinobi Academy once more. Her parents had been even less willing the second time round after seeing how disappointed their daughter had been when she'd been pulled from school the first time. They loved their daughter, but they just didn't believe being a kunoichi was in the cards for her. But now a teenager, her stubborn personality had become rather prominent. And she fought fiercely for her place in the academy. Refusing to believe she'd fought through nine months in the womb to do nothing, she managed to graduate from the Shinobi Academy at the age of fourteen. Now a Genin, young Yukiko waited eagerly to be placed on a team. It was a longer process than usual due to her frailty that required a strong sensei, and a more gifted team that could pick up the slack. It was an unfortunate reality that Yuki was determined to change. Alongside her work in the Suoh clan compound, Yuki spent every free moment she had training. Time had only mended her fragile body so much, and the teenager would never be capable of even genin level taijutsu or bukijutsu. So instead, she focused primarily on her long range capabilities and medical ninjutsu. This also translated over to her work in the compound as a blacksmith. While she was talented and a hard worker, even pushing her body to it's limits - even fainting on occasion - produced few results. Every Wednesday Yukiko would set up her shop with roughly five to seven items to sell each week. A pitiful amount compared to the minimum of twenty at other booths. But she lacked the strength and endurance to pump out quantity. Though the quality of the pieces she did produce never suffered, and her customers often compliment her on the amazing quality of her work. A year later, at the age of fifteen Yuki had finally been placed on a team. Her two teammates could only be described as prodigal assholes who treated her like dead weight. But she ignored them, instead putting all of her energy into training. Focusing primarily on medical ninjutsu, while learning the clans hiden Katon techniques from Ryuunosuke. The Chunin exams were coming up, and unlike her teammates, Yuki couldn't confidently say she would pass. At least not the tournament portion. And just as she suspected, she didn't pass. She'd been matched against a taijutsu user and sent straight to the medic-nin ten minutes in. It would take her three more tries before she passed the exam, finally earning her rank as a Chunin. Now a Chunin, Yuki isn't exactly sure where to go from here. She continues to craft wares and weapons to sell at her shop, and practicing her medical ninjutsu by volunteering at the Iwagakure Hospital. | ooc info ☆ NAME Fumiko ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Fumiko @meitachibana @tetsu Suzune Oda Keiko Hana ☆ FACE CLAIM fullmetal alchemist winry rockbell Yukiko Suoh THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO fumiko DO NOT STEAL. |
