biography Hikari was born in Kumogakure. His father was a merchant, and his mother was a stay at home mom. Hikari spent no time in Kumogakure as his family owed a large debt to a crime boss there. They fled when he was just a baby to the land of sand. At the time their small wealth provided moderate luxury and his family blended into the community quiet well. Hikari's father passed away when he was a small child. His earliest memories were of his father abusing his mother and him. The beatings were relentless but as they grew so did Hikari's knowledge of man. The cruelty shown to him made him question why he was even born. His mother tried to shield him, but the abuse kept coming. His fathers addiction to alcohol ended up being the mans downfall, as time progressed his liver failed and it became just Hikari and his mother living alone in their meager home. The two of them needed a source of income so Hikari began stealing from those he knew had wealth. He often targeted foreign merchants and never stole from locals. He was very stealth despite his young age but as time goes on the risk of getting caught eventually caught up to him. One day as he was stealing a coin purse from a merchant dressed in black and gold the mans guards saw him and chased him home. Hikari was eight years old at the time and ran to his mother clutching her knees. She had always feared for the boy but starvation had motivated her to allow him to steal food and ryo for their survival. The men demanded compensation for their time, but Hikari's mother could not provide any monetary compensation so they took her instead. They then turned to him, but the boy had faded from sight. He looked down to see that he could no longer see himself, his kekkei genkai had finally became active, though at the time it did nothing but scare him further and he ran from his home far away into the slums. Hikari was left alone, and as he cried he realized that he could count on no one, even those he loved. He never heard from his mother after that day. He knew they took her far away, and he vowed one day to save her. He vowed to become powerful enough to rescue her. Hikari trained daily and enrolled in the Academy to learn how to fight as a shinobi. He knew the only way to rescue his mother was to become strong. A local old man took him in and provided him with food. The elder man was named Jochi and he was a known jounin of Sunagakure. The man fed and housed him and taught him about life. He helped Hikari develop his gift for using yuurei but warned him of the ancient curse of his forgotten bloodline. As he used his gift small little black scars appeared on his skin, they itched and ached and engraved in his chest and down his torso. He had empathy for all living things, he knew pain and he was well on his way to learning how to use Yuurei. Though his chakra prevented him from using his gifts for more then a few minutes he exceled in the academy. His teachers were impressed and he made it through quiet easily, in the top of his class at the age of twelve As a Genin Hikari was bright and cheerful and warmed up the entire team. Jochi had taught him, while never to forget what one fights for, it was important to make memories with others, and to enjoy life. Otherwise saving those you love would become pointless, to give up your life to save them would do nothing but cause them pain. Hikari made up squad fourteen and his fellow genin were like family. He had a crush on the female genin of the team Kitsu and he saw the male genin Kaizen as a brother. Their squad leader was a very kind jounin named sonju. Sonju led the genin team through many missions, though often they proved to be more learning based then combat based. Years passed and on one of their final missions Sonju led the team on a D ranked mission to the Land of fire. They were to deliver scrolls to a small village outside of Konohagakure. In the trees they were ambushed by a group of S ranked missing-nin. Though they fought to the last breath his squad mates were slaughtered. He fought and before the shinobi could land a death blow to him he used his kekkei genkai and fled into the forest. The journey back was a time of suffering, he had lost those he loved and as he walked through the trees he realized he was a part of nature, and that they had returned to nature, that they had become one with him and he was one with them. Eventually he made it back to the village, and he was reassigned to another squad. He always kept his distance and made sure not to get close to his new squad mates. When the chuunin exams came around a few years later he passed it, and while it strained him both mentally and physically his testers were impressed with his courage and intelligence and knew his ability could be vital. He was promoted to chuunin at the age of Sixteen and since then has sought no further advancement. He does not deem himself worthy of jounin, since the man who had raised him, and became his role model was his ideal of jounin. Though he does not doubt his ability nor his potential he could only become jounin if he saw himself worthy of such a honor. For now, he fights for the village, and is an exceptional tool in recon based missions. | ooc info ☆ NAME Xan ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS N/A ☆ FACE CLAIM Final Fantasy: CaELUm Noctis, Mizame Hikari THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Xan.
