History:
The Ryuketsu was originally a warrior tribe that worshiped the war god, Hachiman. In the early years of the tribe, the Ryuketsu would boast about their strength to the world. They inevitably started wars with other tribes and killed innocents for their own pleasures. Due to their ruthlessness and overwhelming forces, they were given the name the God Tribe of the Burning Sands. They made many enemies and very few dared to challenge them outright.
Three hundred and fifty years ago, the tribe was formed into a clan by Saori the Great. Saori officially gave the tribe a set culture and standards. He even forbade anyone from marrying outside of the clan, which had been open for members to marry to other tribes. By bringing the tribe together, he was able to remove most of the animosity between the families, but infighting was usually inevitable regardless of the changes that were made. The clan that was named Ryuketsu [Bloodshed] have been a dangerous people on the continent. Saori led the clan for forty five years.
On hundred and twenty years after the clan's union, the Ryuketsu were involved in a war that nearly wiped out a third of the clan. The war was spearheaded by their current leader Naoki. In his arrogance, Naoki wished to go against a few of the rival clans that had purposely banded together to fend off the Ryuketsu warriors. The joint clans succeeded against the mighty followers of Hachiman. The tolls that they had lost were devastating. He literally forsook his own people to please what he believed to be Hachiman's will. With the continued losses and low morale, the Ryuketsu became disgruntled with Naoki’s decisions and revolted against his rule. Eventually, Naoki was assassinated by his own son, Ryota, ending the Ryuketsu's wa. The once clan leader was remembered as Naoki Hijōshikina or Naoki the Insane.
Ryota led the clan in a different direction than a path of total war. He brought them into an age of estranged peace that lasted for fifteen years before the clan wanted to regain their lost honor. They no longer wanted to fight the beasts of the desert, but wanted to take vengeance on the old clans that came against them. At the request of the clan, Ryota felt that his clansmen and clanswomen were ready to take back their former territory from their rivals. Ryota immediately marched his clan to a new drum beat and started the "War of Entitlement". The clan, formerly given the name Taoretaō [Fallen Kings], had regained their name as God Tribe of the Burning Sand after five years of continued conflict. They effectively were able to push their rival clans out of their old territories and regained what belonged to them in the past.
After their self-proclaimed "War of Entitlement", Ryota gathered the remnants of his clan and formed a respectable hierarchy. During the War of Entitlement, his famous line was “Fight as Gods.” This eventually became the clan’s motto and battle cry. He developed the clan tenants to keep the clansmen from griping at each other’s necks and to increase the survivability of the clan. Ryota was known as Tsuruginoō the Mighty. Over the years, they was great animosity between them and the Kurohane Clan. The Kurohane have been considered their hostile rivals.
The breaking of the bijuu's seal was a shock to them. They gained abilities that were only known in their old legends and writings that had been passed down. They were curious of how their clansmen were able to perform different abilities all of a sudden. Upon learning about these abilities, the Kishikai decided that it would be best to learn how to control these abilities and train in the ways of their ancestors. In doing so, they learned various skills and applied it to their martial arts. The members were even able to utilize Bakuton chakra to add to their repertoire.
The clan has become quite weary with the so called villages rising up to protect their people. Even with all of their abilities and forces, they new they wouldn't hold up against the clans that were forging alliances. The clan elites are now seeking out to form alliances. Something that would have happened in their clan history. It was no longer an age where a single bloodline powerhouse could be feared alone. They would have to form alliances. Even if it was with their worst enemies...
