MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Ryoko listened intently as Demiyah explained the situation surrounding Kazama in more detail. When she first mentioned the death of most members of the Akiyama clan his mind did not make the connection, mostly because of her apparent indifference to the topic but after a moment he realized that she was talking about the death of most of her own relatives. This was important because it meant that it was personal. Not only did Kazama have a reason to hate Demiyah, but she had just as much reason to hate him. Nevertheless, she was his ally and that made any enemy of hers an enemy of his. He wasn't impressed with her actions at the beginning of the meeting but it was clear that this situation had simply caused everyone to be on edge. Hara's trickery had laid the groundwork for that so he gave the Kazekage the benefit of the doubt and spoke up to offer solidarity.
"Upon conclusion of this meeting I will send word to my village to offer you some of our ANBU trackers to assist in your investigation and hopeful assassination of this threat." This was not an empty promise, but he wondered how much good it could do, or how much aid he could really offer this woman. He was certain that she had already taken as many measures as she could to prevent any kind of catastrophe but the extra manpower might make the difference.
The conversation quickly shifted though and they were now talking about the chuunin exams it seemed. It was not the segway he was hoping for but he himself had wanted to talk about the possibility of conducting them with the news of this threat now on the table. Much to his surprise though the Raikage had actually pushed to have the exams. Based on his previous encounter with her he had gotten the impression that she was dedicated above all else to the wellbeing of her people. It was clear to him now though that she did in fact care about saving face, even if it was to protect her village by proxy. Even more surprising than this though was that she actually brought up some valid points. Before chiming in Ryoko took a moment to think over what she had said. It was worth considering that under the supervision of all five Kage the chuunin exams could be conducted without conflict. Or it would have been worth considering anyway, had it not been for one small problem that had already been demonstrated several times that day.
"In a perfect world, there would be no one threat that could stand up to all five Kage. Though based on the behavior of some today I would question whether this criminal would be the biggest threat to the chuunin exams should all five of us choose to be present for their entirety." So far not one of them had managed to maintain an air of complete control or professionalism. Perhaps it was Ryoko's lack of any kind of real emotion, but he was less than concerned about the other villages genin. However the threat to his own villages shinobi seemed very real. If Kazama was targeting Sunagakure then he was likely to attack her allies as well and this meant that his people would be in quite a bit of danger should he choose to interrupt the exams. "I am not in favour of going through with the exams. Not unless some agreement can be reached between the Kage today that outlines exactly how it will work. I will not have my youngest shinobi become involved in petty personal disputes between world leaders. Nor will I put their lives in danger solely to uphold your image, lady Raikage."
Would his own people really care what his opinion was? His largest obstacle since becoming Hokage was earning the approval of the village. Things had gotten better in recent days though his lack of public appearances and his inability to empathize with his jounin still acted as a divide between developing a true form of respect for him. However if he could help devise a way in which to protect his village while maintaining their appearance of strength to the world he may be able to finally bridge that divide.
Ryoko now fell silent, looking over to the Mizukage, waiting for his response to the proposition to go forward with the exams.

Much to the Kitsune’s glee, the Hokage actually spoke up, scoring points against the other leaders. Now they couldn’t dismiss him as just some greenhorn brat, like many tended to do. When Ryoko asked her to keep an eye out for any uninvited guests, she just nodded and smiled knowingly. It was no surprise the Hokage was onto her tricks. After all, she wouldn’t have respected him as her Boss if he hadn’t been at least that clever. In return, she would gladly be his eyes and ears. If anyone outside the meeting room so much as walked funny, he would be the first to know.
...Well, second actually, but the sentiment was still there.
While the Kazekage explained the details, Hara listened carefully, though nothing particularly caught her attention. However, what did get a reaction out of the tricky kunoichi was the Raikage and her suggestion. Hara’s eyes widened and outright devilish smile spread on her face. She didn’t even bother trying to hide how much she liked the idea. ...Granted, not for any of the reasons said out loud. No, she was far more enamored by all the amusing drama that would take place. If a meeting this short could spark so much funny bickering, she could only dream what kind of drama bombs would go off during the Chunin exams. She loved watching things in motion.
Sadly, the always reasonable Ryoko just had to shatter her dreams. The trickster squirmed in place before dropping her gaze towards the floor. Despite the exaggerated and quite theatrical disappointment washing over her, she remained silent. If it had been anyone else, even some other Kage, she would’ve already tried to persuade them. Or call them out on being a chicken, whatever worked. She was dying to say something, anything, but she just couldn’t, not against the Hokage. Beneath the pranks and the devil-may-care attitude, she loved Konoha and no one could question her loyalty to the village leader. When the Hokage made a decision, she would follow it. Even when Ryoko was being a killjoy... Once again...
Luckily, she could take some comfort in her plan ticking in the background.
As the meeting went on, the Kitsune clones were busy setting more traps. After making a little detour, they had arrived to the main entrance. One of them was carrying the most fearsome weapon of them all... a bucket! It was mostly filled with water, no shortage of that in here, but at the top floated a little surprise. Eggs. Greenish brown and rotten to the core. Very, very carefully, the duo propped the prank bomb over the doorway. Once anyone opened the door, they would’ve gotten a cold shower with a nasty surprise. It didn’t even matter if it hit anyone or not, the eggs would shatter anyway. Due to all the moisture in the air, the released aroma would be... breathtaking.
Snickering, the clones snuck away to continue their mischief. Now there were two traps in place, one near the conference room and the other near the exit. Schedule permitting, the pranksters would fill the whole route from here to there as well.

The Raikage had been put in her place. Clearly the current topic of conversation had struck a nerve within Demiyah. It was clear that this was not something she preferred to discuss and that it angered her deeply. But what came next had Kazu surprised. The Raikage... apologized? For snapping? Interesting. This was new. Kazu observed Mei as she spoke to him. Examining her facial expressions and body movements in the process. While she was clearly apologizing, she appeared uncomfortable doing so. Kazu had come to the conclusion that it was more or less a forced apology. Something simply to diffuse the situation in order to avoid more conflict, and possibly starting a war. Kazu silently sat there, observing the conversation and listening intently. He listened to Demiyah talk about Kazama more. About his past, and what he is today. This man sounded dangerous. To slaughter an entire clan? And the survivor. To destroy her mind like that? This would have taken more than just strength. This guy clearly had a way to mess with his victims psychologically. Kazu thought about it to himself. Listening to the ongoing conversation in the meantime. But how? How could he have had such an effect?
This fact alone had peaked Kazu's interest once more. He needed to know now. Kazu wondered if anybody else was wondering the same thing. If anybody else had caught that.
Suddenly, the mention of the chuunin exams had snapped Kazu from his internal thoughts. He decided it was best to leave these thoughts with himself. Mei had brought up the state of the chuunin exams, and what should be done about them. She clearly thought that the chuunin exams should still be held, regardless of a potential threat. She was of the opinion that as long as the Kage were all present, nobody would dare attack. If they did, it would be suicide. Kazu thought about this as she spoke on. If this guy was as dangerous as Demiyah made him sound, then he would definitely be brave enough to attack while all of the Kage were present. And if he was brave enough, it definitely meant he was confident enough in his skills to get out alive.
Ryoko began to speak, voicing his own opinion on the subject. Given the current circumstances, he was definitely against holding the Chuunin exams. Putting everybody at risk was a bad idea, in the event that something actually happened.
"I'm with Ryoko." Kazu spoke up. "I believe that holding the Chuunin exams now might not be such a good idea. If this guy is as dangerous as the Kazekage says he is, then I don't want to put my own young shinobi at risk. However, if we come to the conclusion that the Chuunin exams should still be held, I will not question thus ruling. I will attend."
Kazu's words resonated with sincerity. However, he secretly wished the results were for holding the Chuunin exams. He had a certain amount of... curiosity. He wanted to see this Kazama person. Now more than ever. If this Kazama person were to be drawn to an event overseen by five of the world's strongest shinobi, then Kazu would most definitely be interested in him. Kazu sat back, and awaited the opinions of the others.

i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY Demiyah felt a little more at ease with the fact that both the Mizukage and the Raikage were now settled into their seats, clearly paying attention. That didn't help ease the uneasiness in her stomach, however. There was still that feeling of impending danger that wouldn't leave her. She settled back into her chair when she was finished speaking, smiling apologetically at their mediator, before turning her attention to Ryoko. She appreciated the prospect of aid, but at that moment, she worried more for the protection of his own village, slowly shaking her head in response to his offer for sending ANBU.
"As much as Sunagakure would appreciate the help of the Konoha ANBU Black Ops, we shall have to decline if only for the sake of protecting your own village against this threat. If we spread ourselves too thin in any direction, it means possible destruction of our villages. I will not have that burden on my shoulders should the worst come to pass," she noted calmly, nodding her head politely toward Ryoko. "Your first priority should be your own village. If he truly is as much of a threat as these documents have made him out to be, then we can worry about banding together to take him down," she said continued with an heir of finality in her voice. "So please, Lord Hokage, keep your ANBU close to you."
This was her way of ensuring that the bond between the villages remained strong. If Konohagakure was to help and then lose many of their ninja to Kazama, Sunagakure would be at fault. The top priority of any Kage was to protect the village itself and the people living within its walls. Demiyah would be damned if she let Ryoko spread his resources thin for the sake of Sunagakure. They had enough man power to hold of many attacks, though Kazama could prove to be particularly difficult if it came down to it. He'd been known to return to the village from time to time, apparently, always leaving a few nearly dead shinobi in his wake. They'd never been able to pinpoint why he'd returned when he had.
Demiyah brought her attention to Mei when she spoke up about the chuunin exams, crossing her arms in front of her chest slowly. Thinking through everything, she knew that one of her top priorities was to protect her village. Holding the chuunin exams or leaving to participate as a proctor would only serve to weaken Sunagakure. On the other hand, she knew that to cancel the chuunin exams amidst this threat from a singular shinobi would only serve to instill panic and fear into the hearts of her people. Obviously conflicted, Demiyah remained silent for a long while, staring at her Kage's hat on the table so hard that it should have burst into flames by then. She was sure that her choice would tip the scales either way. If Demiyah denied the chuunin exams continuing, the Tsuchikage would have to agree with Ryoko and Kazu for them to cancelled. If Demiyah advocated for the chuunin exams, then innocent genin might be forced into the mix. However, with the ultimatum that all five Kage attend the exams, the idea put Demiyah further into ease.
Sighing heavily, she rubbed at her blind eye, her fingers then tapping against her forehead, "I'm going to advocate that we continue with the exams," she started, looking to Mei with an uneasy expression. "The Raikage is right. If we cancel the exams simply because of one man, we aren't demonstrating our power to lead or our strength and ability to protect our people. If we cancel, all we will create is fear. Terror isn't something we should introduce to our villagers at this point in time. In fact, it would be best if all remained silent about this issue to the people. Inform the shinobi forces, as it is their duty to serve and protect. We need not give our people something new to worry about." Clearing her throat, "I agree that all five Kage should attend and proctor. At least if something happens, all five of us will be in attendance to fight back."
"I also request that we hold the exams in Konohagakure. It is the most strategic location within all the nations. Each of our main villages are within a managable distance should harm suddenly befall our villages during the chuunin exams. Konoha is in the center, and it's only natural that we do not pull one Kage further from their village than all of the others," with that, Demiyah fell silent, looking more focused and thoughtful than before, all signs of her previous anger having disappeared. This was a difficult decision to make, especially when she would be putting the lives of her people at risk. However, they could not back down at such a crucial time as this.

OH, SHOULD MY PEOPLE FALL THEN SURELY I'LL DO THE SAME ❝ Based on the behavior of some today? The navy-haired woman made no effort to hide the scoff and eye roll that followed Ryoko's speech. It had been his Jounin that had started all the madness. How quick he'd been to forget such a vital detail. The blonde escort he'd brought along had all but immediately ticked off the Kazekage, and her trickery had only served to irk Mei. But from there the irritations had only continued. The Hokage himself had taken verbal jabs at Mei; clearly he hadn't learned anything from their previous meeting. And to top it all off? That bastard Kazu had strolled in late with that damn grin and a hello, as if he was late to a tea party. Ah, her blood was boiling again just thinking about it. Heaving a sigh, she reminded herself to remain calm. Deep breath- "Nor will I put their lives in danger solely to uphold your image, lady Raikage.""Uphold. My. Image?" she asked, each word coming out in a harsh hiss as her lips curved downward into a scowl. Now he'd done it. It would seem her relationship with the Hokage was doomed to be about as 'pleasant' as her relationship with the Mizukage. "Imagine this, Lord Hokage." she began, leaning forward and off the back of her seat. Straightening her back and staring him down with angry, amber eyes. "Mass hysteria. Frightened citizens and shinobi who are either too frightened for their lives to perform a mission or so eager they get themselves killed. This situation would not be limited to Kumogakure, I assure you. The cancellation of the exams due to fear of Kazama will only spark more fear. I am not so thrilled as to throw my Genin into a warzone so that I might preserve my face!" she snapped, unable to uphold the pleasantries she'd managed thus far. "I am doing this to protect them. We only have two options here: Go through with the exams, or cancel them. Both pose a risk. But I stand firmly by my decision. And while I'm on the subject of decisions, Lord Hokage, you would be wise to watch your words. My patience for you is withering." she warned, attempting to reel herself back in as other Kage seemed to be itching for a piece of the conversation. Kazu sided with Ryoko, and she merely nodded, refusing to be so childish as to get riled up over Kazu siding against her. His reason was sound. Following Kazu was Demiyah, who met Mei's amber stare with a worried gaze. She advocated for the exams, oh-so tentatively. It was clear she'd placed her faith in Mei more than anything, and the Lady Raikage could only hope she'd made the right decision. But that was two for two... that left. "Lord Tsuchikage!" she yelled, slamming a fist down hard on the table in an effort to jolt the man awake. Despite the abruptness of her actions, the man hardly stirred. Groggily opening his eyes and heaving a sigh as his eyes finally landed on Mei's. "How may I help you, Lady Raikage?" he asked through a yawn. Though sensing the tension in the room, he sat up in his seat, leaning back into his chair as he allowed his gaze to drift around the room. Taking in the expression of every Kage before landing squarely back on Mei. "Honestly," she mumbled under breath, "I am assuming you heard at least a portion of what was said about Kazama, yes?" she asked, wanting to clarify before she continued. The man merely nodded, which was hardly an answer, but she had no patience left for his games. "The Chuunin exams, are you for or against them?" she asked the tie breaking question. And the man sure knew how to draw out the suspense. He was quiet for several minutes, mulling over the details he'd somehow overheard while sleeping. Unlike the other Kage, however, he refused to share. Preferring to consider his options in silence before revealing his answer. "I will advocate for the Chuunin exams."ooc: She's gonna declare war at this rate or just kill Ryoko, dear god. .-. tags: Ryoko, Kurayami, Demiyah AkiyamaMADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

IN THIS WORLD FULL OF PEOPLE, THERE'S ONLY ONE KILLING ME
❝ With two cats flanking him, Kazama made his way from the border of Hi no Kuni towards Amegakure. It was a short, one hour trip. And parts of it had been painfully quiet despite his two new companions. Albeit his very presence next to them hadn't made conversation easy. But Kazama didn't seem to mind the silence. In fact, there was more than enough going on in his head. A murderous, red gaze accompanied a fox-like smile that said he was all too excited for what was to come. After today, not just the Kage, but every shinobi would know his name. It was not fame or notoriety he sought, however. He simply wanted to make sure that every time he played with the Kage, that they had an audience to witness just how pathetic their leaders were. "We're here," he said, using a Shunshin no Jutsu to land on the roof of a building adjacent to the skyscraper his sources had stated the Kage Summit was being held in. Right behind him was Tsukiya, followed by Jena. He'd neglected to explain the plan during their travels, but it was a simple one. Provided they were competent enough not to screw it up. Pulling a stack of two hundred explosive tags from his robes, he carefully split the stack. Each hand held roughly one hundred explosive tags, and he held them out towards his two strays. "Take these," he said, making sure they were secure in their hands before loosening his grip. The last thing he wanted was for the tags to be lost to the wind, and the civilians below. How was one to explain a sudden rain of explosive tags? "Do you see that building?" he asked, noddin g in the direction of the skyscraper that currently housed all five Kage. "Both of you will infiltrate the building. Scatter these explosive tags near the top floors of the building, closest to the room the Kage are housed in. Kill anyone who gets in your way, but leave no trace of their bodies if you do so. You need to get in and out without alerting the five Kage to your presence. I will not be going in with you, so alerting them to your presence will likely result in your death." he explained, turning to Tsukiya now. "Once you two are out, set off the explosion, and get out of the way. I will find you when I've finished." he said, his tone firm and leaving no room for questions. "Go," he ordered, waving them off. He watched as the two disappeared, obediently headed for the building where five unsuspecting Kage were about to receive a very rude awakening. Which, perhaps amongst all the bickering, would be welcomed. Though Kazama had his sights set on one Kage in particular today. Soon, Akiyama. Soon.

I'm bored to death in heaven And down alone in hell I am the fallen angel To be assisting such dangerous and perhaps murderous Missing such as the blond that was leading the current way was indeed not a job Jena ever planned to take. Then again, she had been left with no other choice. He was determined when he specified he had no intentions of permitting their escape from this all, and that he would not hesitate to unsheathe his blade to eliminate all useless beings. Truth to speak, she admired such impeccable way to deal with unruly and rebellious followers that falsely promised loyalty. Now she realised this was why she hadn't learnt of him before. Any contract spies or curious ninja would have met their inevitable end sooner or later. He had his plans laid out perfectly, and nothing would spoil them on his way to grandeur. And maybe this was the reason they were then arriving at Amegakure, heading to the Kage Summit.
Kazama was his name, and so he had revealed on their journey. Apparently he was labelled an SS-Rank Missing-Nin, which only heightened the girl's levels of intimidation. Some tiny chit-chats or casual interrogations had taken place during the path, but gaps of uncomfortable, prolonged silence had mostly dominated the atmosphere. Hey, what would you expect? It's not every day that you walk alongside a higher-ranked Shinobi ready to slice your throat if you set their fuse off. The silence, nonetheless, was quite favourable to relax her tense body. She took instances to glance at the orange-haired rogue man by her left, the Tsubasa guy, and still collected the fragments of her unfair past. Tsukiya had been a couple of times with her before they had to run away from Konohagakure, mainly training or sparring because of competitive matters.
That was all there was then, and now they had reencountered. The odds were astoundingly surprising sometimes. Both of them were assisting the blond male, stuck in a deal that was both rewarding and hostile. She had no word to call it quits, and besides, the girl had to admit that bashing into the Summit where all five great leaders were discussing the future of the Shinobi world was interesting, not to say amusing. He had not yet entirely explained if they were to be of further use. It seemed that he only wished for them to accompany him in the travelling. Was that really it? Her guts had tugged at her, attempting to convince her otherwise, yet she fully knew her guts usually brought consequences for her. For example, this whole situation. Nevertheless, what was done was done and she had to go with the flow now, wherever that was headed to. In that very instant, she looked up, noticing tall, pointy and bizarrely-shaped buildings rising on the horizon.
They had arrived.
Once inside the Village, the three ninja had speedily made their way through with the always reliable Shunshin no Jutsu, finally landing on the roof of a facility. Once Jena stepped on the solid floor, she gaped at the heavy skyscraper towering in front. "Take these," Kazama had suddenly approached Tsukiya and her, his hands gruffly clasping plenty explosive tags in each. There had to be like a hundred in each very stack! She carefully took them into her own, securing them within the cosy interior of her hip pouch. Afterward, he proceeded to give a mouthful of instructions concerning their future mission within the establishment. Huh, so her gut was right after everything. Involving explosions and close-to-death scenarios, she guessed that she would have an outright hard time within that skyscraper. There ought to be traps and guards fending for the Kage, not to forget potential Village-Nins scouting the halls.
But she'd see what to do with that once inside, and with Kazama's command, like shadows, Tsukiya and Jena rushed to the building. "I'll be going to the eastern side of the skyscraper after we ascend," she alerted the man as they closed up on the Kage Summit. "Don't know what you'll do. Try not to break anything while you're inside." They had go on now, and it was best for her to give her companion a little joking nudge to start-off with. She hurried first to the main entrance of the gigantic facility, performing hand seals for the nifty Henge no Jutsu. In some moments, she took the fit body of a man and the face of a Kirigakure ANBU ninja, a good way to excuse herself from the guards at the main entrance. Taking the normal dirt route to the doors, the transformed Missing hastily approached the two burly men, who had blocked her way from the Summit.
"I sincerely apologise for this inconvenience," Jena adapted a manlier voice, completing her cunning disguise. "I have been summoned here by the urgent word of the Amegakure authorities, claiming they needed more security within the building. They have strictly told me that I must patrol the area near the assembly room, and that I must quickly take my position." At first, the two guards were doubting the truth of said story, puzzled as to why they hadn't been notified of such a change. It required a bit more of persuasion and wise words to soften their rough attitudes. With that, they stepped aside, and she proceeded. What awaited her inside did scare the nine hells out of her. A clashing and cracking noise caused a freezing sensation to crawl up her spine, and it took her a while to see the metallic bucket resting on the floor, a disgusting blend of ill-smelling liquids flowing out.
Oh for Lord of Hell, what died in that bucket?! The clawing and unbearable stench made her fingers automatically rise to hold her nose, her scowling at the terrible prank that was bestowed upon her. Ugh, this smelled horrible. She could barely hear the snorting and choking laughs of the Missing-Nin some feet behind her, and she just wanted to hit someone to free herself of the anger. Meticulously evading the tiny pool of sickening mixtures, the girl progressed within the skyscraper, amazed at the monotonous halls that were awkward in shape and had unexpected sharp turns and sudden, strangely-placed doors. Well, honestly, this sort of architecture was to her very appeal, and blowing it up would be rather of a shame. She sighed, concluding that the rich leaders of the industries here would surely repair the building in no time. Ah, how very pitiful did the Earth function now.
After giving some rounds around the first floors, Jena had encountered two to three guards calmly pacing through the place, obediently following orders. Out of pure luck she remained hidden behind the mask of the Transformation Technique, nodding in greeting to the passing individuals. She had no time to watch back to see how Tsukiya was doing, but the constant steps since the beginning had told her he was closely tagging along. It was then that she bumped across a set of wide and long stairs, probably ending on the last floor. She faced the orange-haired male and signalled to it with a nod of her head. Then, searching for any traps that could be hidden in the smallest of details, she stepped up. She went like this for what could mirror and eternity, until she spotted the floor of the final level. Joy flooded her, yet because god felt like mocking today, she was gloriously slapped in the face.
One of the female Shinobi's feet was moving forth to step on the straight floor, and that was when she felt a narrow, pressing feeling on the surface of the limb. Her weight and the invisible wire betrayed her, and her body began to fall forward. "Fucking he -!" Was all she could pronounce before she headed to the ground, her arms thrust forward to shield her drop. Fortunately she managed to soften her fall, and she rapidly incorporated back on foot, not without breaking the Henge no Jutsu first. What a brilliant way to prove her worth. Any other embarrassment she would have to put up with?! Tsukiya's stare was probably enough of a punishment, and she gritted her teeth because of the unfair situations. Just then, steps foreign to their own resounded far off behind a corner of the hall. Oh no, did a guard hear her?
In reflex, her hands anxiously clasped together, combining a couple of seals and preparing her chakra. A dark-haired, blue-eyed Ame Jounin was emerging from the obscure section, and as soon as he mad eye-contact with the gleaming, magenta eyes, he was instantly submerged into a Genjutsu. The terrain around him swirled and changed shape and colour, radiating an image that was nothing like the facility's repeating halls. He shook his head, unable to comprehend the tricking view. In that moment, a feline shadow pranced into view, yellow eyes shimmering and fangs revealing. It hissed at the Ame-Nin, and leaped forward to chase him. Shocked and confused, the man kept battling the rabid Ninneko in his mind, while the pair of Missing-Nin swiftly evaded the illusive soul and continued down the hall. It actually worked, and she was proud that her last-resort move had successfully granted them a head-on.
Albeit that small victory, more challenges awaited up ahead. Jena put a hand up when she foresaw the talking of two Shinobi, quietly showing her comrade what was to come after some steps. She pondered for some seconds, grinning evilly when an idea popped in her mind. "Don't come until you see they're open for a killing blow, okay?" She made sure to whisper this time, and walked on without letting any time for Tsukiya to give his opinion. Before they could have reckoned the upcoming body, with a single hand seal, the hall was blurred with a translucent mist, wisps of sparkly mist adorning it. The men gave confused looks to one another, clutching their weapons strongly. It was when the cloud dispersed that they dropped them, their jaws wide and eyes locked. "Sekushi no Jutsu: Jigokuyume ♡ ~" A female voice alluringly announced, a shape now visible in the midst of the scenery.
What you could expect from the black-haired girl was no more, and her clothing was instead replaced with a body-tight, slightly tattered, provocative-short and scarlet dress probably belonging to a man's dreams. Black horns had grown on her head, and a black tail ending with a heart had also appeared. Her eyes possessed a more vibrant red hue, and she narrowed her eyes, calling out to the guards with magnetising gestures. One of her gloved hands opened, summoning a black steel fork to it. Slowly stepping to them, she chuckled as she went ahead and softly pinched the two with the big object, pronouncing sentences that dripped with fraudulent passion and unreachable lust. They were caught up in the whole Jutsu, unable to resist it and the urge that had caused this. In fact, they never saw it coming when a figure bounced on them, spraying sticky blood to the walls and floor. Not uttering a single word, the Hell Dream technique shattered, returning Jena to what she normally and naturally was.
"Good job," she told Tsukiya, yet she did not look at him and moved forward. They were a short distance to the floor where the Kage were in a meeting, and her heart beat within her. Yet, when they reached the last hall, the path split into two; right and left. "Alright, I'll take the eastern flank and place the tags there. You go on with the western, and make sure to dispose of whatever ninja walking there.." Paying luck to the other with nods, they parted ways, Jena heading to the right hall. She could already sense the presence of guards ahead, hearing the breaths and the choppy talks between them. What could she possibly use this time... As she thought, her hands sneaked in her hip pouch and took out a small amount of explosive tags. Adjacently and perpendicularly attaching them to the walls, they were hidden from view by smartly placing them on the top and bottom corners, where it was connected to the roof or floor.
Oh, yes, perfect~! Her back stuck to the wall, she strained her neck to see a young man approaching. "Kokuangyo no Jutsu," the female ninja muttered, targeting a single Ame-Nin strolling to her absentmindedly, performing the necessary hand seals. The poor guy had no idea what hit him, and his view grew hazy and disoriented. Sadly because of the lack of proper mastery in her Genjutsu skills, the Jutsu did not have much of efficiency, not causing the casual blindness it actually should. But it sufficed, nevertheless, and she side-stepped around the dazzled victim to repeat her tag-adhering process. To the remaining guards, she consecutively used more Genjutsu techniques, the dominant two being Neko Genjutsu and Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu, the latter of the two serving well to make them turn on their heels and head the way they came.
Of course, she began to grow exhausted from so many techniques. God was forgiving, since she dispatched the last man patrolling by with a Meiton: Yuurei, and so knocking him out cold with the hard grip of Yuugure. Up until then, the eastern hall had been mostly decorated with explosives, and empty from any threats to her. The C-Ranked Missing trudged a bit more, and reached a solemn door in which inside boomed a brawl of voices. Man were they hissy. She had almost ran out of tags, and the last ones were stuck on the walls forth of that particular door. Heck, she even shrugged and adhered the last one on the wooden surface separating the Kage Summit with the rest of the skyscraper. She was crouched for this, gently attaching it to the lower section of the entrance. This would serve for a lesser damaging blast, only scaring them instead of injuring them.
Getting up from the previous position, Jena nodded in satisfaction at the magnificent scattering of explosive tags. They were placed strategically so that, when detonated, they would blast precisely on spots that would shatter the architecture. She congratulated herself, and abruptly the echo of brisk steps warned her of an incoming figure. She glared at the end of the hall, where a shadow came rushing at full-speed to where she stood. Orange hair came into view, and her eyes widened at the whole predictable thing. He charged at her, not stopping for nothing. Taken aback from the unsettling view of the taller man, her shoulders dropped and she blinked a few times. "T-T-Tsuki -" |

I walk in the rain, In the rain
Is it here that I belong or is it right or wrong
Amegakure, was the destination, and along with him was Jena Hoshikuzu and the ring leader was Kazama. The man had given him his name, like he and Jena did before him. The journey would be long at least a couple hours, his mind already racing on how to evade any and all guards at the summit. Being quite resourceful himself, having a few genjutsu under his belt, they were nothing spectacular though. There were no doubts in his mind that Jena would be his partner in crime. Deep down he hated meeting her under these circumstances, being swept into what seemed like a mad man's plan, a death wish. Just appreciating the fact that he finally got to see her again after all this time.
As the little trip started to reach it's end, following behind Kazama with the use of Shunshin no Jutsu, they finally arrived in Amekagure no Sato.Landing upon another skyscraper adjacent of the one where the five great leaders resided. Raising his head to the sky, letting the rain hit his face. Having since slipped his hood up to block the rain, but in all honesty it felt good washing away all the emotion that was running through his body, Ryoko was here and possibly someone else from his past. In a sense he was going to face demons of his past today, and the chance to kill anyone from Konoha was high. Part of him was even wondering whether or not he could pull the trigger. It wasn't in nature to kill innocent people at that, but comrades were even the same story. A sigh escaping the young orange-haired mans lips, he couldn't falter now. Otherwise it would mean death, this path he was on was surely headed for bloodshed, and there are no detours of of it. He was locked in, and he had choice in this matter.
As Kazama began talking, he listened to what he told them. Even with half of his attention wondering elsewhere. It was focused on a certain pink haired women, her name was Keiko Hana, the woman he loved. These thoughts leading him to the idea that she in fact may be here. No, it couldn't end up like that he didn't want to face her here. Of all places, but if in the case he would carry her out along with him. Snapping out of his unsettled reverie, and now facing Kazama starring into his red eyes almost similar to his own, looking into this man still trying to figure him out. He knew so little, but wanted more. Even though he knew curiosity may get him killed, "Take these." grasping the tags firmly, and slipping them into his jacket. A slight smile curling at the details of the mission, "So we are means of distraction nothing more. Sounds simple enough." He thought quietly to himself, peeking over the side at the people below. "Once you two are out, set off the explosion, and get out of the way. I will find you when I've finished." those words rattling through his brain, giving a nod "Right, will do." He spoke simply, disappearing from where he stood but now before making a sharp whistle, but with all the commotion below it would go unnoticed.
Standing outside of the building now his hands in his pocket, and Shinku Tsubasa fastened tightly at his side. A moment later a small red tailed hawk, flew past him another smile crossing his features. Perching on one of the upper levels, of the sky scrapper a slight nod was shared between the two. Raising an eyebrow as he followed behind the much shorter missing ninja, "Right so that gives me the western side, try not to get into to much trouble otherwise I am going to have to come and save your ass." He said in a rather stern tone. Part of him knowing this could go wrong, and if it did he would get Jena. Then get the hell out of dodge fast, he knew there were was no room for mistakes. As soon as he spotted a random Kirigakure ninja, he performed a Henge no Jutsu. His form being that of a large, well-toned and built man. Being a known criminal might raise a red flag, then again he was pretty sure he could get past the guards standing at the door. All while being right behind his colleague.
As Jena spoke, he said nothing just starring forward hoping his newly large form brought no questions. Figuring it better to play it off mute would be a better idea. Once gaining access in, he looked at both of the guards as if he was starring into their soul, giving them a slight chill down there spine. His attention suddenly snapped towards Jena, his face distorting into a face of pure disgust the smell in the air was foul enough to curl the pain from the walls. Trying to stifle his laughs, but he couldn't hold them back anymore. "Sorry, that was good. But this smells of a certain kitsune." He spoke in a deep and grunted voice, following suit. Not even bothering to pay mind to the well thought architecture, just taking mind of where he could find an integrity in the building. Making it easier to blow the upper levels apart, and even collapse a few of the lower levels.
As there slow and quiet trip to the top levels, of the skyscraper. Knowing any communication may raise suspicion. But even through it all he gave a wave of the hand when passing other shinobi. Reaching a staircase, that seemed to continue on for ever and ever. There was no doubt in his mind that they were facing a genjutsu user, but his first clue was the bucket, a simple trick. Somewhere in this building the trickster was hiding, and he would do best to avoid her. He really didn't need Hara's tricks today, and if it came down to it he might have to fight her something else he didn't want. As much as the trickster bugged him, he really enjoyed her company. Suddenly Jena had fallen, standing beside her stiffing another smirk. Generally still worrying for her safety. Turning to face the next hallway, "Dammit someone heard her!" He thought, reading himself in case he had to attack anyone. Though Jena had already jumped to it, simply standing by as she dealt with him.
Though they weren't in the clear as more challenges awaited them, a few shinobi were heard conversing. Jena again taking action, and his action would be more violent leaving them open to discovery. "Right, will do." His voice deep in tone, as he pretended to stand guard. Peeking around the corner every couple of seconds, enough to catch a new jutsu of hers. Never in his life did he expect this out of Jena, his eyes growing wide. Shaking his head regaining his composure, once it was all over he went right back to his normal post. Sticking behind her, and if anyone dare come at them he would be the first to attack. Killing wasn't on the agenda, but if he had to he would. Besides it would be a perfect chance to test out a newly learned jutsu.
Speaking no words to her as they walked finally meeting a fork, of their venture. He turned back to her one last time, "Good luck, and just stay out of trouble Jena." He spoke calmly, though through his words showed a fondness that she may or may not pick up on. Waiting only a moment more, only waiting for her to disappear out of his view did he continue down the hall. Pulling the tags out from where had stashed them previously. Observing the walls for points that would cause the structure to collapse, and placing them there. Keeping a close eye on the hallway for incoming shinobi. Suddenly a few stepped out of a room, and he slipped them into his vest, giving a nod at them as his venture continued. For the most part it was easy enough having little to no trouble at all. Hoping that Jena was having no trouble at all, until he stopped at a room looking around. Out of the corner of his eyes a shine, turning to face it it was a sword just sitting there in the open. Stepping into the room, observing it, grasping the hilt, and lifting it from the table he gave it a few swings "Nice add to my collection." He stated happily, and picked up the sheath sliding it into place. Once it was fastened to his back, he headed out to finish his job.
Now at the end of the hallway, turning around as he know dashed off towards where Jena is, running away from the sound of many shinobi that had finally noticed all there shinobi the two had previously knocked out. "Dammit, as long as we blow this up we won't have to deal with them, as much as my gut tells me this is wrong. I have to do it or die!" He mused, running quickly down the hall. As he neared the fork in the road, him and Jena had just been at he finally spots her. Once he was beside her, he quickly reached down and hoisted her over his shoulder. "We need to get the hell out of here!" He snarled looking for a way out, finally landing on a window. Dashing of towards it, "Hold on tightly Jena!" he yelled as he leaped through the window using most of his body to smash through so harm was brought to Jena Soaring through the air with Jena hoisted on his shoulder, bringing his hands together to form the Snake seal, setting of a chain of explosions inside the building. Managing to land on a nearby building, he turned to face the skyscraper. His hands coming together again forming another hand seal, Meisaigakure no Jutsu using his chakra to bend the light around him and Jena making them now invisible to anyone heading for a safe spot for Kazama to come and get them later on. | |

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | It seemed like Ryoko had riled up the Raikage again. While this hadn't exactly been his direct intention with his comment it would have been a lie to say that he didn't find a bit of satisfaction in her elevated mood. Unfortunately for him the vote had gone the other way. The disinterested Tsuchikage had made it three against two and sealed the deal. While this news didn't impress him the Kazekage's suggestion to have the exams in Konohagakure made his job a little bit easier. This kept him close to home and meant he would have the most shinobi on hand in the event something went south. Ryoko simply nodded his agreement before stating anything.
As the discussion on the topic seemed to close he started to open his mouth to advocate an agreement between the five leaders about how to conduct these exams. Before he had an opportunity to though he heard Getsu begin to snarl behind him. Ryoko shut his mouth and tensed his body, listening for whatever it was that was setting of his pet. At first he though it likely that the Raikage was behind it but after only a moment he heard footsteps and yelling outside. It was faint but close enough that he was concerned. The first thought that came to his mind was that they were being targeted by Kazama, the shinobi that Demiyah had mentioned.
As if to echo his thoughts a muffled boom could be heard some distance away. This was followed by multiple other explosions that escalated in volume and increased in proximity. Ryoko was already on his feet by the time the building started to shift. The explosions had damaged the structural integrity of the building and it was likely that within seconds the close by explosions would engulf this room in flames. Ryoko jumped straight back from his position, grabbing Getsu by the skin on his neck and Hara by her collar. He tucked his head as he used his body to smash the window behind them and the trio began plummeting down the side of the now collapsing building.
Once Ryoko had regained his head he let go of his grip on his comrades and yelled over the sound of the wind blowing by them to Hara. "What the hell is going on in there?" As he waited for an answer he looked below them. There was a series of buildings that looked like they would provide a quick exit to Amegakure. He had too little information to decide to actively engage the target. While unlikely there was the possibility that some or all of the other Kage were dead. There was also no way to know how many of the enemy there were. To rig an entire building to explode you'd need more than one person, or Ryoko at least hoped as much. A tactical retreat was the best option for them right now. He landed on the top of a building about half the size of the one collapsing behind him. As he did so Ryoko took off running, knowing that his bodyguards would do the same.
In the back of his mind he wondered about his comrades, Demiyah and Kazu. A quick glance over his shoulder revealed that the building was almost leveled. There was no promise that the Kage or anyone from Amegakure had made it out. This catastrophe could cause tension between this nation and his, but now was not the time to worry about that. Now it was time to get home and sort through this new mess. |

A decision had finally been made. the Tsuchikage's vote had become the deciding factor in the vote, and it was decided that the Chuunin Exams should still be held. Upon hearing the news, Kazu sighed frustratedly. He believed that this was a stupid decision. To risk the lives of all of the Genin by gathering them all in one place for this villain, Kazama, to just harm all at once. But, alas, there was nothing that could be done about it. Kazu wasn't comfortable leaving Kirigakure unprotected by their leader, but there was nothing he could do. He would be required to make an appearance at the Chuunin Exams. The suggestion that the exams should be held in Konohagakure gave Kazu a little comfort. Konoha was not terribly far from Kirigakure. It was located directly in the middle of the other four villages, which meant that it would be much easier to get back if need be. He was confident that each of the kage felt the same, and that the Hokage, Ryoko, was the most grateful about this suggestion. It made sense. Why split the villages apart too much when there is a threat that probably required cooperation between each of the kage. Kazu was about to chime in before a chill moved through his body. That bad feeling had returned. Kazu's intuition was kicking in once more. Kazu's eyes darted around the room, and he focused his senses primarily on listening to the surroundings. Getsu, Ryoko's pet, began to snarl. Kazu became worried now as he noticed Ryoko attempting to make sense of it as well. Faint sounds could be heard outside. Kazu contemplated what it could be. Scenarios shot through his mind. But it all led back to the same thing. All of the kage were gathered in one area, and somebody was attempting to crash their meeting. Somebody knew of their presence here, and either wanted to send a message, or just simply kill them. But they were a fool if they believed they could take out five of the greatest shinobi without a fight. Kazu began to rise when the ground beneath him began to shake. Kazu gasped the table in order to hold his balance. The explosions grew heavier and louder as they moved up and to their location. " Seiren!" Kazu shouted. " Go!" Seiren blasted through the nearest window and out of the building without a word. Kazu was still inside. Flames began to engulf the room, and the building began to collapse. Smoke rose up from the falling building and Seiren stood on the side lines, watching, hoping that her leader would make it out alive. And as if on cue, through the rising smoke and ashes, Kazu burst out. His hair and robe were caked in dust, and his hat hung from his neck once again. Kazu was a mess now. The dust from now mixing with the mud and blood stains from earlier that day. This was not Kazu's day. Not at all. He landed nearby Seiren, not saying a word. He kept running, signaling her to follow. The two of them ran off into the distance in order to escape the situation as quickly as possible. Their first priority was to head back to the village, relay the information and protect the shinobi of Kirigakure. Tagged: Demiyah Akiyama @meitachibana OOC: Notes CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS
