i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY That feeling in her gut was starting to feel overwhelming. She didn't know if she was just going to be sick, or if there was really something wrong. They conversation seemed to come to a stand still, and Demiyah looked out over the table to each of the Kage and their escorts. If anything happened now, they were surely doomed. The Kazekage swallowed hard, her gaze trailing to Ryoko's wolf as he started to growl a bit. That was certainly odd. The animal had been silent up to this point. Frowning to herself, she closed her eyes, doing a hand sign, "Soyokaze," she murmured, letting out a slow breath of air. It moved out in all directions, even under the door into the hallways before it suddenly pulled back. Frowning, she noted the other chakra in the building besides that of the Kage and the guards. Then the rumbling. That wasn't normal. Pushing herself to her feet, she glanced to Mei quickly, and then turned around, pushing Kouketsu backwards toward the window, "RUN!"
By the time she'd uttered the word, the Hokage and the Mizukage had already jumped through the windows with their escorts. Demiyah had pushed her own escort out of the window, knowing that Obelisk would save him before he hit the ground, if Kouketsu didn't act first, of course. Demiyah hardly had time to look to Mei, and the mediator, though she wasn't even sure if she'd seen them or if they had already escaped. The floor beneath Demiyah and the Tsuchikage crumbled under their feet split seconds after Kouketsu had gone out the window, and for a long moment, all Demiyah felt was the sensation of falling. It seemed like all thought stopped, bits an pieces of the last few moments flashing in her mind over and over. Why was this happening?
Shaking herself out of the shock, Demiyah stared down at the crumbling building below her and then up at the falling building above her. They were surely dead if she didn't move quickly. She formed quick hand signs once more, unable to grab her bow in time. Putting the Tsuchikage before her, she aimed a kick toward his chest, "Jinton: Sūifuto-fū Kikku!" she growled out, effectively pushing the Tsuchikage out of the radius of the falling building and into the air, giving him a better chance at catching himself and landing safely on top of a building near by.
Her mind instantly started working through a plan, her hands forming another set of hand signs before she had even processed her thoughts. It was all instinct, now. She needed to escape, but the building needed to be stopped before it caused too much damage. 'Please let the guards have escaped,' she thought morosely to herself. The falling debris would certainly harm civilians below. "Fuuton: Harikēntaigā!" she exclaimed before letting out a large gust of wind from her mouth that would encircle the entire radius of the building. Holding the jutsu, Demiyah glanced to her side, moving quickly in mid air and bracing a jump off the side of a large piece of building. A panel of glass fell just on the other side of it, and Demiyah found herself smashing through the glass, out from the inside of the collapsing building. She launched herself at one of the nearby buildings, landing atop of it with a heavy thud, rolling a few times before she came to a stop.
She lifted her head, witnessing her jutsu at work. The winds that circled the falling building pulled any debris falling from above into its epicenter, keeping the building contained within itself. The winds circled for a few long moments, gathering most of the falling building into its center before the winds all converged in on the middle of the battered building. The was a sound like the roar of an enormous beast before winds exploded once more, the jutsu imploding on itself. There was still quite a bit of debris falling from above, but the major pieces that could have ended up maiming or killing civilians below were all concentrated in the radius of the building itself. Demiyah could only imaging how many people she may have just condemned to death inside of the building, still silently praying that the majority of them had gotten out before the building had come down completely. That didn't stop the grief from hitting her. Her breathing seemed to fall short and she slammed her fist against the roof of the building that she was laying against, her body aching from the impact. Demiyah let out an enraged scream, gritting her teeth hard, slamming her fist into the tiles once more.
She was cut off instantly when a shadow fell over her form, her breath catching even more than it had before. Slowly rolling over onto her back, she stared up into the face of the man that she had just condemned at the Summit minutes earlier. Swallowing hard, she launched herself off her feet, aiming a punch at his jaw, "KAZAMA!" Her rage started to take over, though she never had the chance to fight back...

IN THIS WORLD FULL OF PEOPLE, THERE'S ONLY ONE KILLING ME
❝ Magnificent. Though the feline duo had taken a tad longer than Kazama would have liked, they'd executed the explosion with the utmost flare and precision. The ground began to shake, each blast increasing in intensity and moving closer and closer to the room where the Kage held their party. Surely they'd all paused. Perked their heads up like frightened dogs before a big storm. Yelled and attempted to save each other. But amidst the black cloud of smoke that swarmed the collapsing building, one thing was made crystal clear. They hadn't saved anyone. As far as all of Amegakure could tell, they'd house five Kage and their escorts, who in exchange for hospitality, had been so quick to save themselves as the building went down. And things were only just getting started. His two darling strays had taken up the appearance of Kirigakure shinobi, and he could see the forehead protectors they wore as the two darted out of the building too safety. "How fitting..." he chuckled, secretly hoping the citizens of Amegakure took notice. Yet another power hungry Mizukage, hm? Only this one had the gall to bomb the summit. What a headline. he thought, a fox-like smirk breaking into a devious grin. It was probably for the best that no one could see his facial expression right now. Powerful gusts of wind tore him from his early celebration, and back to the situation at hand. A tornado like wind circled the building as it collapsed, forcing large chunks of rock inward and away from the mixture of civilians and escaping shinobi below. He'd watched as the Hokage and the Mizukage escaped the building first. And the Tsuchikage had followed shortly after alongside the Raikage. Three Kage had already gone on the move. He'd lost the Lady Raikage amongst the chaos, but that left only one: Demiyah Akiyama, the Lady Kazekage. "Found you," the words came out in a sing-song hum, dripping with malice and something akin to excitement. With a Shunshin no Jutsu he was at her side in seconds. A few roof tiles slid off from beneath his feet, and his red eyes eagerly stared down at the redhead. Despite her wounds she had quite a bit of energy left, pushing herself off her side and right back up onto her feet. He grinned, choking back a laugh as she swung at him, screaming his name. She actually thought she stood a chance. "Akumugan."Black. To a man such as himself, the color was comforting. It embodied him. But he couldn't say the same for the Akiyama bitch who stood before him. Just as her fist was within inches of his jaw, his eyes began to glow an even brighter red as he activated his Akumugan. Trapping the woman in front of him in darkness. He watched as her arm that had been on a crash course with his face just mere seconds ago fell to her side. A red glare slowly softened as her eyes glazed over and she seemed to go into a daze. The genjutsu had begun to take it's effect. Surrounding her in complete darkness, his glowing red eyes staring her down whichever way she looked. He could taste her fear now, and he'd only just gotten started. Kazama almost pitied her for fearing the dark. With Demiyah securely locked within the Eien no Yami (Eternal Darkness) of his Akumugan, Kazama began searching, all too eagerly, for the fears she hid behind that strong and firm face. The cracks in the armor a Kage could never show. And yet, he had free reign to access all of them. Oh? A shinobi with a fear of killing? You make this almost too easy for me, Akiyama scum he thought, and though he'd only intended to end with activating the first stage of his doujutsu, the lack of threats allowed him to press on. His selfish need for revenge overriding any common sense that told him sticking around for too long was a bad idea. Activating the second stage of his Akumugan, the Eien no Akumu (Eternal Nightmare), he knew just what fear to use. The timing was far too perfect, what with the fresh blood of Amergakure shinobi in the air. At least a handful of which who had probably met their end at the hands of her jutsu. At least, that's what his doujutsu would lead her to believe. Creating ghosts of the Amegakure-nin to assault her in the darkness. Screaming, pleading with her to stop her jutsu, begging her to save them. Though he'd only had the Akumugan active for roughly six minutes now, it felt like hours for the victim. And he could already feel his eyes growing sore, a warning that more side effects would follow with continued use. "Unfortunately our fun ends here, Lady Kazekage." he said, closing his eyes briefly and cancelling the doujutsu. He made no move just yet, watching the redhead for a few moments. " Do sleep well now, and-" he started despite the fact that she couldn't hear him, but was quickly cut off by a kunai aimed right at his feet, and the sudden arrival of the Lady Raikage. Just as quickly as she'd appeared she drew her blades, swinging out in a crescent at Kazama. He narrowly managed to dodge, her blades grazing her robes and cutting small strips of cloth off in the process. Jumping back onto a nearby building where his two strays had been instructed to meet him, he watched as the Raikage tended to Demiyah. "Let's go," he said to the two missing-nin behind him. The three activating their body flame technique, causing their bodies to slowly burn away from the bottom up until they were gone. Until we meet again...tags: Demiyah AkiyamaMADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

i want the guts and glory THIS TOWN IS WASTED AND ALONE BUT WE ARE ALIVE HERE IN DEATH VALLEY Demiyah's hand fell to her side as she stared right at nothing. 'Everything just went dark...' she hissed to herself, her pulse starting to pick up. Demiyah was never in total darkness like this. You couldn't make her set foot into a dark room unless she had a candle or some sort of light source. This was complete darkness. This formed a heaviness in her chest, making it harder and harder to breathe the more her mind and her body reacted to the fear. The fear of seeing nothing but complete darkness. The fear of never seeing anything again. The loss of her left eye had brought that fear to life when she was only a chuunin and it was one of the few fears that she had never grown out of.
Letting out a small whine, Demiyah crumpled to the surface of the roof, holding her head, her eyes squeezed shut. The panic was starting to overwhelm her, her heart racing so fast that her heart ached in her chest. "Give the light back..." she whispered quietly, murmuring it a few times before she started to hear the screams. The screams begging her to stop her jutsu and save them instead. Slowly, she rose to her feet, staring ahead at the darkness in front of her. Slowly, people started to show in the darkness, all Ame shinobi. Many appeared battered, broken, but they still moved. They all moved toward her, screaming at her. God, the screaming. "I'm sorry!" she cried out, though she remained completely and totally silent in reality.
Very few people in life knew Demiyah's greatest fear. Killing. Killing innocents. Killing even those who weren't innocent affected her greatly. The leather journal that she kept hidden in her room was a testament to her fear, and how much guilt she held in every second of every day. Most of the time it was a chore to even function. She has plagued by nightmares of the people she'd killed. They haunted her every waking moment, and the less sleep she got, the more likely she started to hallucinate in real life. She never sat in a dark room, because the shadows were just as dangerous as her dreams, often creating sounds that would only be considered part of her imagination by anyone else had she mentioned anything. What Kazama did to her in those moments was one of the most cruel and destructive things he could do to break the woman.
"I'm sorry..." she repeated as all the shinobi seemed to surround her, reaching out and touching her. She jerked away, stepping backwards, though each person followed her closely, grasping onto her clothing. The screaming didn't stop. Each broken body had it's own voice, it's own expression, it's own emotions. Yet each dead shinobi in her mind was crying the same thing.
Please stop! Save us!
Over and over and over again. It went on for hours, it seemed like. Demiyah slowly crumbled, seeing how each shinobi died. Some were crushed, some were run through with metals beams, some died from shards of glass falling. But those same shinobi kept speaking after they passed on, begging her continuously to help them. To save them. "Stop..." she whimpered softly, gripping her head once more, "STOP!" Stop... stop... stop... she couldn't yell anymore. She couldn't even move. Her heart was racing, her mind was breaking, the light draining from her eyes. In reality, she dropped to her knees, clawing at the tile of the roof, screaming bloody murder as her mind snapped and she grew silent. Her eyes were open, but she was hardly aware of anything. As the jutsu was halted, she closed her eyes, blacking out almost instantly. She didn't even remain awake to witness Mei chasing Kazama off. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GANGNAM STYLE @meitachibana

OH, SHOULD MY PEOPLE FALL THEN SURELY I'LL DO THE SAME ❝ The room had fallen silent with the Tsuchikage's vote tipping the scales in favor of the Chunin Exams. And with it came a tension so heavy in the air that the Raikage easily could have cut it with her blade. But before Mei could even entertain the though, the low growl of Ryoko's hound grabbed the attention of every Kage in the room. For those who had personally seen the wolf, perhaps they trusted it. But if they could not trust in that, they could all agree to trust in the animal's instincts. Ninken were not to be underestimated. So when the wolf growled, his body language shifting to something more on-guard and protective, Mei heard the warning loud and clear. Or perhaps it was the rumbling sounded that rang throughout the skyscraper. The volume and shaking only increasing as it approached the room with haste. Turning she quickly met the panicked gaze of Demiyah, and the sound of chairs and shuffling around them. But by then it was far too late. "Aoi!" she whipped around, her gaze quickly finding her blue-haired companion. With a Shunshin no Jutsu she was immediately at his side, the explosion ripping the door from it's frame just as she removed a larger than average kunai from her holster. With a quick flick of her wrist the Hiraishin kunai flew through one of the windows that had broken mere seconds sooner by one of the escaping Kage. The two Kumo nin quickly followed the kunai out the window, with a boost from the blast that send scraps of the building hurtling towards them. From the air she quickly grabbed hold of Aoi, and after forming a few hand seals the two disappeared in a flash, narrowly missing a hit to the head by the wreckage. Landing on a nearby building next to her Hiraishin kunai, she released her hold on Aoi. Stopping briefly to look him over, "Are you harmed?" she asked quickly, and with the relief that aside from minor scratches and developing bruises he was fine, she took to look over the wound she'd acquired just before transporting the two. The wreckage that had been aimed for their heads had connected with the back of her elbow, snapping the hinge point and drastically limiting the use of her arm. My dominant hand too, she thought with a scowl, but she would manage. A good swordsman was always ambidextrous. As one broken arm could drastically turn the tide of a battle. Glancing up at the destruction, she could only hope the other Kage and their escorts had safely escaped the building. This...chakra... she went wide-eyed as the malicious chakra unleashed itelf upon the area. Clearly not caring if they were noticed or not. And though the dark chakra was reason enough to worry, that wasn't what had Mei yanking another kunai from her holster, and throwing it. The kunai landed at the feet of a tall blonde dressed in formal robes, and just as she'd appeared in front of him, she drew Shi from her hip with her non-dominant hand (left) and swung outwards, her blade hungry for flesh. However, whoever this man was, he'd seen her coming. If only by a second sooner. Her blade shredded the front of his robes, and her lips curved downward into a scowl that only matched the murderous glare she wore. But as he backed off, the screams from Demiyah just moments earlier echoed through her head. Her left food shifted forward, every instinct screaming at her to push on. To not let a man who dared personally attack a Kage and the Kage Summit. But something caused her to turn on her heel, stepping back over to the Kazekage's side and sliding Shi back into his sheath. Her arms wrapped around the Lady Kazekage, and she appeared back on the roof next to Aoi. "Lady Kazekage! Kazekage! ...Demiyah-san!" she yelled, a sense of urgency to her voice as she struggled to identigy what the man had done. She bore no physical wounds, a Genjutsu...?"Aoi, find us a medic-nin, quickly!"tags: Demiyah Akiyama, Ryoko, KurayamiMADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS
