{ tag }-{ word 734 } -{ Bringing in the merchants guild } Zenmaru had traveled quite some ways to the location of the Merchants Guild. As he arrived alone on horseback, he noticed that the majority of the guild members had packed. The large caravan sat idle as the members of the guild stood around chatting. There was no sign of the guild leader anywhere. Zenmaru sighed as he yanked the reigns of his horse to move forward. There wasn't so many places that the guild leader could be at this oasis. He unmounted his horse and tied it among the other mounts of the clan. The walk seemed to take forever as he received various glares from members of the individuals. The looks didn't bother him as much as trying to find the clan leader. There were considerable amounts of people here. The number of people made him think to himself if these people were even part of the guild. There were various individuals from other clans and tribes across the desert. That was probably the reason for the various looks. Every knew of the reputation and the look of Zenmaru of the Hundred Thunderclaps. There were probably enemies here, but they weren't a threat. As he continued to walk on, he heard a young voice yell out. "Hey, Lord Zenmaru!" said the young voice. Zenmaru started to look around to see where the voice was coming from. There was a hand that was waving within the crowd. Zenmaru started to wade through the group of people all gathered around this...teenager. The boy couldn't be a day older than sixteen. The young redhead smiled as Zenmaru made his way to an open circle. He figured that the boy had to have seen him or his blade through the open spaces within the crowd. Not many people used large weapons as him, especially in the desert. Carrying such weapons would be exhausting for those who were untrained. Though, it was a bonus for Zenmaru since not many people would be interested in trying to pick it up. "Welcome Tsuruginoō, I hope that your journey wasn't too tiring. We'll leave in a couple of hours. My caravan isn't quite finished packing and I would need to finish making arrangements," the young merchant leader explained. Zenmaru who was standing erect, now bowed simultaneously with the merchants leader. "It is an honor for you to join my village," Zenmaru responded. Zenmaru turned on his heal and made his way to fetch his horse. Upon mounting his steed, he began to examine the caravan. There were a lot of supplies from lumber all the way to tools that he had never seen. Everything continued to be loaded onto the carts that were prepared for the journey. It literally took a couple of hours to get everything situated. It was about an hour from daylight and he knew that he would have to keep watching during the night. The trip would take a days time and it would be dark again before they reached the construction site. The supplies having been loaded onto the carts began to move across the cooling sand. The sunset was before them as they traveled toward the river delta. Zenmaru had been moving about from the front to the back of the caravan during the majority of the time they had been traveling. He didn't say much due to him trying to keep concentration. It was troublesome trying to take care of this whole caravan by himself, but it had to be done. The supplies were needed and his people needed them. The reason why he wanted to do this mission alone was to test himself. It had been awhile since he had a real trial. The chances of meeting enemy forces was a possibility, but it wouldn't be that problematic. Zenmaru's concern was that they were undermanned. There were only ten guards excluding himself. Each one was stationed in twos from the front to the back of the caravan. It wasn't his idea, but the young guild leader's. The plan wasn't bad, but he figured it would be good to head toward the middle of the of the caravan where the young redhead was. It would be better to continue guarding it from here on out. The guild leader was more important than the majority of the people and supplies here. The sooner they were able to get to the construction site, the better. { MADE BY KIROUKO OF GANGNAM-STYLE } |
